Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of grade VII students on the material "I Have the Ability" through the application of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model at SMP Negeri 2 Harian in the 2024/2025 academic year. The PBL method was chosen because of its ability to increase student engagement, critical thinking skills, and problem solving that is relevant to everyday life. This study uses a classroom action research (CAR) design involving two cycles of action. Data were collected through learning outcome tests, observations of the learning process, and evaluation questionnaires. The results showed a significant increase in student learning outcomes, as indicated by an increase in test scores and positive feedback from students regarding the learning process. The application of the PBL model also showed an increase in collaboration skills and student learning motivation. Thus, the use of the Problem-Based Learning model can be considered effective in improving student learning outcomes on the material taught.

Abstract

Catholic Religious Education at SDN Mangkubumen Kidul Surakarta City is carried out with an Independent curriculum. As is known, the learning method is a means of interaction between teachers and students in learning activities towards the objectives, types, and learning materials as well as the teacher's ability to understand and implement the method. In this study, the researcher chose the Group Dynamics learning method to solve the existing problem, namely trying to research whether the use of Group Dynamics learning can improve student learning outcomes carried out by classroom action research. The title of this study is "IMPROVING PAKBP LEARNING OUTCOMES WITH THE PBL MODEL OF WOMEN AND MEN MATERIAL CREATED AS THE IMAGE OF ALLAH THROUGH THE PHASE C GROUP DYNAMICS METHOD CLASS V SDN MANGKUBUMEN KIDUL SURAKARTA." The type of research conducted by the researcher is Classroom Action Research, which is a form of reflective study by actors who take action to improve students' entrepreneurial attitudes. According to Arikunto (2002:91), classroom action research is a scrutiny of activities that are deliberately raised, and occur in a classroom. Wardani (2001: 1.4) defines classroom action research as research conducted by teachers in their own classrooms through self-reflection, with the aim of improving their performance as teachers, so that student learning outcomes increase. In this study, the researcher used the PTK model of Kemmis and Mc Taggart. Based on the description of the study and the results of the study, it can be said that the average learning outcome of Class V students of PAKPP SDN Mangkubumen Kidul Surakarta City from cycle I to cycle II has increased, namely the increase in the average class score from cycle I to cycle II increased by 12.5%, from 80.75 to 93.25. The achievement of the implementation of the learning process in accordance with the action scenario increased by 5% from 95% to 100%. The process of group dynamics became better from cycle I to cycle II increased by 33.5% from 66.5% to 100% So it can be concluded that there is an increase in the learning outcomes of PAKBP grade V students with the PBL model of the material Women and Men Created as the Image of Allah.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of learning outcomes by using the based learning model in class IV of SD Negeri 1 Tualang. This study used the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method, the population of this study were Catholic students in class IV of SD Negeri 1 Tualang totaling 9 students consisting of 3 males and 6 females. Sampling using purposive sampling and the sample used was class IV totaling 9 students. The results of this study indicate that student learning outcomes using the based learning model are included in the very good category seen that the average post-test score of the best students at the cycle I stage was 85 then increased to 90 in the post-test cycle II and the smallest students at the Cycle 1 stage were 60 then increased to 75. This shows that there is a significant positive influence of the use of based learning on student learning outcomes in the subject of Catholic Religious Education in class IV of SD Negeri 1 Tualang

Abstract

of Catholic Religious Education and Ethics aims to shape students into individuals who have faith, piety, and noble character. This research focuses on increasing the spiritual potential of students through the introduction and cultivation of religious values. However, the lecture method that has been used has resulted in low motivation and student learning outcomes. This research was conducted at SD Negeri 1 Parapat with the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) Model to improve student independence and learning outcomes. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (PTK) which is carried out in two cycles. The results of the pre-test showed that only 2 out of 6 students were complete. In the first cycle, there was an increase in the average score to 76.7 with classical completeness of 70%. In the second cycle, the average grade increases to 100%, with 100% of students achieving completion. This study concludes that the PBL method is effective in improving student learning outcomes, independence, and creativity. The advice for teachers is to apply the PBL method consistently, for students to actively seek learning resources, and for schools to recommend PBL methods in each subject. This research emphasizes the importance of further development in the application of PBL for religious education.

Abstract

This research aims to improve the learning outcomes of Catholic Religious Education by implementing the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) method in the lesson "I Develop Myself Together with Others" for fourth-grade students in Phase B at SD Negeri 15 Buntumauli. The PBL method is a student-centered approach that emphasizes problem-solving of real-life issues relevant to the subject matter. This method promotes critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration among students, which are essential skills in modern education. Through this method, students are encouraged to be more active in their learning process, exploring problems, discussing solutions, and working together in groups to solve them. The research was conducted over two cycles, with each cycle consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data were collected through observation, written tests, and documentation. The focus of the observation was on student activity during the learning process, their participation in discussions, and how well they were able to develop problem-solving strategies in group work. Learning tests were administered to measure the students' understanding of the material before and after applying the PBL method. The results showed a significant increase in students' learning outcomes after the introduction of the PBL method. There was a notable improvement in their understanding of the material, particularly in relation to personal development and social interaction. Students were more engaged and motivated during the lessons, displaying greater responsibility and independence in their learning. They also demonstrated stronger teamwork and communication skills. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the PBL method is an effective tool for enhancing the quality of Catholic Religious Education, specifically in topics related to self-development and cooperation with others. This method encourages students to think critically, solve problems creatively, and collaborate with their peers.

Abstract

This research aimed to improve the student’s outcames of the X-2 grade F phase SMA Santa Maria 1 Cirebon year of 2024/2025 in Catholic religious and morals subjects by implementating Problem Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by case study. This research is a classroom action research that included in two cycle with 2 confluence every cycle. Each cycle consist of planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The first and second cycle discussed the subject of gander equality. The subject of this research is student of X-2 grade F phase SMA Santa Maria 1 Cirebon year of 2024/2025 which consist of 28 students. The main technique in data collecting used test, and observation, meanwhile the proponent technique used interview and documentation. The result of this research showed that the implementation of Problem Based Learning model assisted by case study can improve learning outcomes student of X-2 grade F phase in Catholic religious and morals subjects start from cycle I and cycle II is 77 in cycle I stage increase to be 83 in cycle II. The conclution of this research is the implementation of Problem Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by case study can improve learning outcomes student of X 2 grade F phase SMA Santa Maria 1 Cirebon year of 2024/2025.

Abstract

The teaching methods applied in grade X at SMAN 1 Pagak are still lacking in variety, leading to students' low critical reasoning skills and the failure to achieve the target in the proficient and skilled categories. This research aims to improve students' learning outcomes and target achievement through the implementation of Problem Based Learning (PBL). The Classroom Action Research (CAR) was conducted in two cycles with the material "Being Critical and Responsible towards Mass Media", each consisting of four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were nine students from grade X Phase E at SMAN 1 Pagak. The research indicators included idea and information clarification, idea and information analysis, use of sources, and prioritization of relevant ideas. The results of the study showed that the Problem Based Learning (PBL) method was able to improve learning achievements: from 0% proficient, 44% skilled, 56% adequate, and 0% developing, to 56% proficient, 44% skilled, 0% adequate, and 0% developing. The results also demonstrated that the Problem Based Learning (PBL) method was able to enhance the Pancasila Student Profile (P3) character, specifically in the critical reasoning dimension. The average critical reasoning dimension increased from 60% to 80%. The recommendation is to focus on one dimension by choosing a teaching method that is both engaging and activating.

Abstract

This research is classroom action research which aims to determine the effect of applying the problem based learning (PBL) model on improving students' collaboration skills on the material The Holy Spirit Strengthens the Lives of the Apostles and living together inspired by the Holy Spirit in class V Phase C SDN 047165 Simpang Nagara in the odd semester of the 2024/2025 academic year with a total of 8 students consisting of 3 men and 5 women. The method used is Classroom Action Research (PTK) with a problem base learning model which is carried out in two cycles. The research results showed that the implementation of PBL significantly improved collaboration skills and student learning outcomes, with the percentage of collaboration skills reaching 76% in cycle 1 and increasing again to 91% in cycle II. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of the Problem Based Learning model can improve students' collaboration skills on the material "The Holy Spirit Strengthens the Lives of the Apostles and living together inspired by the Holy Spirit" and the material "Involving in church life".

Abstract

Learning motivation is a crucial factor that influences the success of the learning process. Students with high learning motivation tend to be more active and engaged in learning activities, while those with low motivation often feel bored and less participative. In Grade IV of UPTD SDN 075053 Fadoro Idanoi, low learning motivation has become a problem that affects students' engagement and academic performance. The conventional teaching methods, which lack variation, lead to decreased enthusiasm among students in the learning process. This study aims to examine the implementation of varied teaching strategies through Problem-Based Learning (PBL) as an effort to enhance students' motivation. PBL presents students with real-life challenges that need to be solved, which can increase their active participation, engagement, and motivation. By incorporating diverse teaching strategies through PBL, it is expected that students will become more motivated and involved in the learning process, leading to improved academic outcomes. This study is hoped to offer practical solutions for teachers to create more engaging learning environments and boost students' learning motivation in the classroom.

Abstract

This research is aimed to improve the teaching learning process and learning outcomes of Catholic Religious Education and Characters through the Problem Based Learning model. This research is Classroom Action Research. The subjects of the research were the tenth students of the seventh grade of SMP Negeri 2 Sunggal academic year of 2024/2025. The data analysis technique is descriptive analysis consisting of students’ affective learning outcomes data and students’ cognitive learning outcomes data through observation and written tests. The research was conducted in two cycles. The result of the research shows that the percentage of the students’ completeness has increased in each cylce which is 60% to 80%, and the degree of students’ participation in the learning process has increased from 50% to 80%. It can be concluded that the Problem Based Learning model improves the learning outcomes in Catholic Religious Education and Characters of the seventh grade students in SMP Negeri 2 Sunggal in the topic of The family’s role for my selfgrowth and The Friend’s role for my selfgrowth”.
