Abstract

This research aims to improve the learning outcomes of grade VII students on Human material as the Image of Allah through the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model at SMP Negeri 6 Sanggau which is carried out in two cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages, namely planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research subjects in this observation are 37 students in grade VII of SMP Negeri 6 Sanggau. Data collection techniques are carried out through tests (formative tests) and non-tests (observation). The results of the research on the affective aspect of students in cycle I showed an average percentage of 70% increased by 8% to 78% in cycle II. In the first cycle, the percentage of learning outcomes for students in the advanced category was 1%, capable 3%, feasible 24% and newly developed 9%. Meanwhile, in the second cycle, there was an increase in the advanced category of 8%, capable 12%, decent 17% and just developed 0%. So, it can be concluded that learning Catholic Religious Education and Ethics with the Problem Based Learning (PBL) method is proven to improve student learning outcomes. In addition, this learning model can also increase students' confidence, especially in developing communication skills in groups and with educators.

Abstract

This research aims to improve the learning motivation of 10th-grade students at SMKN 1 Sewon Yogyakarta on the topic of being critical and responsible towards mass media through the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) method. The teaching of Catholic Religion at this school is designed to support the school's vision of producing graduates with character and professionalism. However, student motivation in this subject remains low, as indicated by minimal participation and unsatisfactory learning outcomes. Until now, the teaching method has focused solely on textbooks without engaging variety. This study employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach in two cycles, each consisting of four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were three 10th-grade students from the Hospitality Program. The results showed that the implementation of PBL significantly increased students' learning motivation, particularly in thinking critically and being responsible for information from mass media. In the first cycle, student motivation was still relatively low, but after improvements in the second cycle, students became more active in discussions, critical thinking, and confidently expressing their opinions. This research provides benefits for teachers to teach more effectively and is expected to positively impact the quality of education at the school. The findings also show that the PBL method helps students relate learning materials to real life, increase active engagement, and foster critical and responsible attitudes in dealing with information from the media.

Abstract

The development of Catholic children's faith is greatly influenced by the role of parents as role models and primary educators. In the family, parents are responsible for introducing the values ​​of Catholic faith and traditions through teaching, religious practices and constructive discussions. This research reveals that parental involvement in children's spiritual lives not only strengthens the foundations of faith, but also shapes children's character and morals. Through various methods, such as praying together, attending mass, and reading the Bible, parents can create an environment that supports the growth of faith. The research results show that children who receive strong spiritual support from their parents tend to have a higher commitment to their Catholic faith in the future. Therefore, the role of parents is very crucial in forming and maintaining their children's faith.

Abstract

This study aims to enhance students' critical thinking skills through the implementation of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) on the Ten Commandments material for 4th-grade students in phase B at SD N 3 Sijambur. PBL encourages students to explore and solve contextual problems related to the understanding and application of the Ten Commandments in daily life. This method promotes critical thinking, collaborative learning, and the development of analytical and reflective skills. The results of the study show a significant improvement in students' critical thinking abilities, particularly in identifying problems, formulating relevant solutions, and evaluating information logically. Thus, the application of PBL in this material contributes positively to the development of students' critical thinking skills

Abstract

The background that encourages this non-class research is the low learning motivation of grade VII students in Catholic Religion at SMP Negeri 2 Amandraya. The research that has been conducted by the author aims to determine the improvement of Catholic religious education outcomes through learning the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in 2024/2025. This researcher uses 2 cycle stages, each of which consists of 2 meetings. The conclusion of the study is that through the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model, it can improve the learning outcomes of Catholic religious students in grade VII (Seven). The suggestion from the researcher is that through this Problem Based Learning (PBL) model, hopefully it can make a better contribution to learning in the future.

Abstract

This research aims to understand and improve the learning outcomes of Catholic Religious Education at SDN 107396 Paluh Merbau, Percut Sei Tuan District, Deli Serdang Regency. The study applies the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model in the lesson about Jesus feeding five thousand people, utilizing collage media as a teaching aid.The researcher used a descriptive qualitative approach and data collection methods with quantitative observation techniques. In facing the 21st century and the Industrial Revolution 5.0, educators are required to adapt to significant changes and advancements in knowledge. Therefore, educators must be able to compete not only in terms of intelligence but also creativity and innovation in finding alternative learning methods. One such method that facilitates students to create individually or in groups is project-based learning, which is aligned with the process standards that encourage students to produce contextual works, both individually and collectively.One effort teachers can make is to implement innovative learning models, such as the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model. This learning model serves as a breakthrough in revitalizing what is often monotonous and rigid learning, particularly at the elementary school level. Students in Phases A, B, and C are active and have a high level of curiosity. By applying the PjBL model at these phases, students can experience learning that satisfies their curiosity and stimulates their creativity

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' learning outcomes on the topic of "Unique Personality" in Catholic Religion and Moral Education at Class X Phase E in SMA Negeri 1 Pajangan using Problem-Based Learning (PBL). The research subjects were six students who struggled with this material. Conducted in two cycles, the study followed four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. Results show a significant improvement in students' learning outcomes, with an average score increase from Cycle I to Cycle II. The PBL method positively impacted students' understanding and active participation. The study suggests applying PBL in other subjects to enhance learning outcomes.

Abstract

Indonesian education continues to develop and seeks the right model, thus inevitably undergoing continuous changes. These changes are certainly aimed at guiding the nation's generation towards intellectual intelligence and character intelligence that increasingly align with the values of Pancasila. Changes that are still ingrained in memory and continue to be adjusted in their application are the changes in the curriculum from the 2013 curriculum to the independent curriculum, which then changed its name to the national curriculum. The presence of this curriculum leads to the freedom to learn and the freedom to teach, but at the same time creates sustainable learning activities for educators. Educators must continue to innovate creatively so that the learning applied is in accordance with the conditions of the students and ultimately can be accepted as something meaningful for their lives. Such conditions eventually motivated me to produce this work with the hope of contributing to the improvement of the quality of education at SMA Negeri 4 Sintang. As an educator, I strive to implement a problem-based learning (PBL) model. I consider this model to provide freedom for students to develop all the potential they possess. I attempt to integrate Wordwall media into PBL learning, making the learning activities more enjoyable. This learning media is Android-based, which is a close companion for teenagers/students today. The use of this tool helps students to surf the internet to access a wealth of information relevant to the material presented. It is hoped that the use of this media can inspire and motivate students to build a desire to learn, a desire to express critical thoughts, and also to foster a spirit of cooperation (participation).

Abstract

A teacher certainly needs methods to convey learning materials so that the materials can be quickly understood by the students. The purpose of this research is to determine the improvement in learning outcomes of seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 2 Panombeian Panei. This research is designed to enhance student learning activity using the Problem-Based Learning model, which emphasizes how active students are in being independent and skilled at SMP Negeri 2 Panombeian Panei. The learning activity referred to in this study is physical activity and mental activity. The type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR), where the teacher acts as the implementer of the learning while the researcher acts as the observer. This research was conducted in the odd semester of the 2024/2025 academic year, specifically in September. The subject of this research is the seventh-grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Panombeian Panei, with a total of 8 participants. The object of the research is the students' learning activity. The data collection technique uses observation and interviews. Data is analyzed descriptively and presented in the form of tables and graphs. The research results show an increase in student learning activity, with a 25% improvement in Cycle I (newly developing category), and then a 75% increase in Cycle II (good category).

Abstract

This research aims to increase student interest and learning outcomes in Catholic Religious Education subjects through the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model for class VII students at SMP Negeri 1 Sawo. This research uses the classroom action research (PTK) method which is carried out in two cycles. The first and second cycles discuss My Abilities and Limitations. The subjects in this research were Class VII-B students at SMP Negeri 1 Sawo for the 2024/2025 academic year, consisting of 12 people. The main techniques for collecting data are carried out by means of tests and observations, while supporting techniques use interviews and documentation. The research results show that the application of the PBL model can significantly increase student interest and learning outcomes. This is shown by increased student activity in learning, increased test scores, and positive student responses to learning.
