Abstract

This study examines the influence of asset tangibility, growth opportunity, and business risk on capital structure in property and real estate companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) from 2016 to 2018. Using a quantitative associative approach, the research analyzes secondary data from financial reports of 22 companies. The results indicate that asset tangibility has a negative impact on capital structure, suggesting that companies with higher tangible assets rely more on internal financing. Growth opportunity positively affects capital structure, meaning companies with strong growth potential tend to use more debt for expansion. Business risk also positively impacts capital structure, implying that higher business risks encourage greater debt usage for financial discipline. These findings align with agency theory and signal theory, highlighting the importance of internal factors in financing decisions. This research provides insights for managers and investors in optimizing capital structure strategies.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of human resource quality, work environment, and performance allowances on work motivation, which impacts employee performance at PT Tasindo Mandiri Indonesia. The research employs a quantitative approach with a descriptive and associative design. Data were collected through a survey using questionnaires distributed to employees, and data analysis was conducted using Smart PLS software. The results indicate that the work environment and performance allowances have a positive and significant impact on employee motivation and performance. A comfortable and harmonious work environment enhances work enthusiasm, while adequate performance allowances serve as a rewarding factor that boosts productivity. Conversely, human resource quality has a positive but insignificant influence on motivation and performance, suggesting that other factors such as managerial recognition and work-life balance play a more dominant role in determining productivity. Furthermore, high work motivation significantly contributes to performance improvement. Therefore, companies are encouraged to strengthen training programs, create a more supportive work environment, and ensure a transparent and fair compensation system to enhance employee loyalty and performance sustainability.

Abstract

The rapid growth of e-commerce presents challenges related to limited product visualization and customer engagement, which refers to the degree to which customers feel actively involved in the online shopping experience. Augmented Reality (AR) technology has the potential to offer an innovative solution by providing an immersive shopping experience that makes customers feel as if they are interacting directly with products through virtual simulations. This research aims to explore how AR can provide a deeper customer experience and satisfaction in online shopping, such as realistically visualizing products before purchase, with an example application of the "try before you buy" feature (virtual try-on) in online shopping applications. The approach to be used in this research is quantitative, with data collection from AR users in online shopping activities. The research results are not yet obtained and are in the conceptual stage, it is hoped that this research can reveal opportunities for the use of AR as a strategic technology that can support more attractive and efficient online shopping activities. Recommendations that can be made for the future include the need for valid data collection and analysis, and the use of appropriate methodologies to explore the effectiveness of AR in greater depth. Future research topics can explore the influence of AR on customer preferences based on specific types of products or categories in online shopping.

Abstract

The proliferation of intelligent applications on microcontrollers and low power devices has underscored the urgency for privacy preserving machine learning paradigms. Following this cloud-based infrastructure paradigm, where latency, privacy, and compliance concerns arise, TinyML Machine Learning on ultra-resource constrained devices has come forth as a key solution towards decentralized intelligence. However, introducing smart computation at the edge level raises very serious privacy and regulatory concerns in sensitive fields, e.g., in healthcare, smart homes, and industrial IoT. We present here a policy aligned architectural framework for privacy-aware TinyML systems. With our approach, mechanisms ensuring policy compliance and confidentiality are imposed directly into the training and inference workflows of TinyML devices, such as through programmable consent layers, adaptive anonymization modules, and real-time compliance engines mandated by regulation. The framework is assessed across indicative scenarios, thereby showing that strong privacy guarantees can be attained without any tradeoff in computation efficiency and learning mesh. This work merges embedded intelligence with contemporary privacy governance and supplies a scalable, lawful, and ethically aligned model for TinyML system deployments within real-world settings.

Abstract

When exploitation, capitalization, or land conversion occurs, it will certainly lead to conflicts between local communities and the private/government or even the State. Damage to nature due to exploitation and land conversion has a negative impact on women's bodies and their lives. Wadas is a village located in Bener sub-district, Purworejo, Central Java. The name Wadas has been widely discussed due to the discourse of andesite/quarry stone mining in the village. The quarry stone is the raw material for the construction of the Bener dam, one of President Jokowi's National Strategic Projects. The purpose of this research is to analyze the factors of resistance carried out by the Wadon Wadas movement, a movement carried out by Wadas women as a form of resistance to mining in their village, and to analyze the forms of resistance undertaken. The method used is descriptive. Data was obtained using documentation techniques, through news in digital media and social media. To find out the forms of resistance, the authors use James C. Scott's resistance theory. The finding was that Wadon Wadas applied a structured, observable form of open resistance to defend their land.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of Debt to Assets Ratio (DAR), Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), and Current Ratio (CR) on the stock price of PT Polychem Indonesia Tbk during the period 2010–2024. The Debt to Assets Ratio is used to measure the extent to which the company finances its assets with debt, providing an insight into the company's credit risk. The Debt to Equity Ratio, on the other hand, measures the company’s ability to repay its debts using its own capital. The Current Ratio is used to assess the company’s ability to meet its short-term liabilities. This research employs a quantitative approach using multiple linear regression analysis, processed using SPSS version 27. The sample consists of 15 years of the company's annual reports, with purposive sampling technique. The results of the analysis show that, partially, none of the three ratios—Debt to Assets Ratio, Debt to Equity Ratio, and Current Ratio—significantly affect the stock price of PT Polychem Indonesia Tbk. The t-values for each variable are 0.806 (DAR), -0.169 (DER), and 0.464 (CR), with significance values greater than 0.05 (0.437, 0.869, and 0.651). These findings indicate that these financial ratios are not sufficient to explain the stock price fluctuations of the company during the period under study, which is likely influenced by other factors beyond these ratios.

Abstract

The rapid rise of online gambling in Indonesia has created widespread concern due to its significant economic and social consequences. Despite being illegal, the accessibility and growth of digital platforms have made online gambling increasingly prevalent, with transaction values estimated to have reached IDR 327 trillion by 2023. This study aims to examine the socioeconomic impact of online gambling on household financial stability, labor productivity, and consumption behavior, as well as to assess the effectiveness of current regulatory responses. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, this research analyzes secondary data from official reports, media sources, and peer-reviewed literature. Thematic content analysis reveals five critical dimensions of impact: financial instability, rising household debt, reduced work productivity, diversion of household expenditure, and weak policy enforcement. The study also illustrates a sharp increase in online gambling activities over the past five years, indicating a growing threat to national economic resilience. This research contributes theoretically to the discourse on informal digital economies and behavior-driven financial risk. Practically, it calls for integrated policy responses involving financial literacy, regulatory reform, digital surveillance, and social protection mechanisms. A holistic, multi-sectoral approach is necessary to mitigate the economic harm caused by online gambling and safeguard vulnerable communities.
