Abstract

Ergonomics is a final result that ergonomics itself wants to achieve. Ergonomics is defined as an effort in the form of science, technology, and art to harmonize equipment, machines, work, systems, organizations and the environment with human abilities, expertise, and limitations so that a healthy, safe, comfortable, efficient and productive condition and environment is achieved, through optimal and maximum functional utilization of the human body (Manuaba, 2000). Home is a basic need for every human being, this is in accordance with the concept of basic human needs, namely clothing, food and shelter. Kitchens built in simple houses generally only meet the requirements for having a kitchen. Even the height of the kitchen work table and the height of the cupboard for equipment vary according to the taste of the carpenter or bricklayer. Thus, safe, comfortable, healthy and efficient working conditions can be achieved. In the case of incompatibility of work tools with body ergonomics, it can be overcome with appropriate technology. Most importantly, from the beginning of kitchen planning, ergonomics must be included so that the working environment and conditions can be made effective and efficient for its users.

Abstract

Hypertension is a non-communicable disease that is often referred to as "the silent killer" because of its asymptomatic nature. Surgical education plays an important role in providing important information and motivational support to hypertensive patients, which has the potential to increase the effectiveness of treatment. In addition, family involvement is the main foundation for successful monitoring and prevention of complications, because hypertension management is highly dependent on effective self-care management. This study used a quantitative descriptive correlational research design with a cross-sectional approach. Data collection used a questionnaire given to 75 participants registered in the Hypertension Chronic Disease Management Program in the Bangetayu and Tlogosari Kulon Health Centers. Statistical analysis used the Somer'd correlation test. Among the 75 study respondents, 92% (n = 69) rated the role of nurses as good educators, while 88% (n = 66) reported good family support, and 84% (n = 63) showed good self-care management. Statistical analysis revealed a significant correlation between the role of nurses as educators with self-care management of hypertension patients (p=0.016, correlation coefficient=0.525). Likewise, family support showed a significant relationship with self-care management (p=0.01, correlation coefficient=0.491). This study shows that there is a significant relationship between the role of nurses as educators and family support with self-care management in hypertension patients in the working areas of Bangetayu Health Center and Tlogosari Kulon Health Center.

Abstract

Hypertension is one of the health disorders that can be fatal and is a leading cause of death worldwide, both in developed and developing countries. In Indonesia, hypertension ranks among the top ten causes of death, contributing 5.3%. According to the 2021 Riskesdas, the prevalence of hypertension in Indonesia is 34.1%, with 8.8% diagnosed and 13.3% undiagnosed. Health screening (MCU) results from workers at PT. X in 2023 showed that 13% of 138 workers had hypertension, and in May 2024, the prevalence increased to 20% among 120 workers. Although the increase is not significant, hypertension remains the second most common disease in the top ten list at PT. X in 2024. This study aims to identify factors associated with the occurrence of hypertension among office workers at PT. X in 2024. This is a quantitative study with a cross-sectional design. The sample size used in this study is 90 workers, selected using a system random sampling technique. Data collection was performed using secondary data obtained from the MCU results in 2024. Data were analyzed using the chi-square test, which showed a significant relationship between age (p=0.000), family history (p=0.000), body mass index (BMI) (p=0.000), and stress (p=0.000) with the incidence of hypertension among office workers at PT. X. Based on the findings of this study, it is recommended that the company strengthen its health education efforts for all workers, especially those with a family history of hypertension, and enhance prevention programs by educating healthy lifestyle practices, maintaining an ideal weight according to BMI, and conducting monthly blood pressure checks.

Abstract

Sleep disturbances can result in physical problems and a decrease in a person's ability to focus. Ablution can serve as a way for relaxation that helps improve sleep quality. This study aims to explore the relationship between ablution performed before bed and sleep quality among students. This type of research is pre-experimental. The data used in this study was collected through a questionnaire given directly to the respondents. A total of 50 respondents were involved as a sample in this study. The sampling method used is total sampling. To analyze the data, univariate and bivariate tests are used, where bivariate analysis is carried out by chi-square test. The results of the univariate analysis showed that 78% of respondents always performed ablution, while 22% only did it occasionally. Good sleep quality was found in 68% of respondents, while 32% experienced poor sleep quality. Most respondents were 20 years old, reaching 42%, with the lowest being 19 years old at 10%. In terms of gender, 68% of respondents were male and 32% were female. Bivariate analysis using the Chi-Square test showed that there was no significant relationship between the practice of ablution before bed and the quality of students' sleep, with a value of 0.591 which was greater than 0.005. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is no relationship between the practice of ablution before bed and the quality of sleep among students.

Abstract

Preoperative anxiety is a common issue that can affect both the physical and psychological condition of patients before undergoing surgery. One non-pharmacological intervention that can be applied to reduce anxiety is the five-finger hypnosis therapy.Evaluating the effectiveness of five-finger hypnosis therapy in reducing anxiety levels in preoperative patients at Siloam Silampari Hospital, Lubuklinggau.Using a case study approach with the application of evidence-based nursing practice in nursing care for three preoperative patients experiencing anxiety. Data were collected through nursing assessments and measured using the Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS) to determine anxiety levels. The intervention was carried out over three days following standard operating procedures (SOP).The study results indicate that five-finger hypnosis therapy is effective in reducing anxiety levels in preoperative patients. The HARS scores gradually decreased, with all patients improving from severe anxiety to mild anxiety and eventually showing no clinically significant anxiety by the third day of the intervention. A more significant impact was observed after the second and third days of intervention, suggesting that this therapy is more effective when applied repeatedly and consistently.

This study aims to describe the level of knowledge, attitudes, and behavior of parents in utilizing the MCH Book. This study used a quantitative descriptive design with a cross-sectional approach. A sample of 139 respondents was selected using purposive sampling method at Posyandu Sumurgede Village. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire that measured the level of knowledge, attitude, and behavior of parents towards the utilization of the MCH Book. Data were analyzed univariately to describe the frequency distribution of variables. The results showed that parents' knowledge about MCH Book was mostly good (89.9%), the attitude was predominantly positive (84.2%), and the behavior of MCH Book utilization was mostly good (81.3%). However, there were still respondents with moderate knowledge (10.1%), moderate attitude (12.2%), and moderate behavior (15.1%). Abstract

Mother's Milk (breast milk) exclusive breastfeeding was only in babies starting at the age of 0 to 6 months. When mothers don't know how to manage their lactation, it can stop them from breastfeeding their babies properly. The goal of this study is to find out what happens when people learn how to breastfeed and how that changes the practice of exclusively breastfeeding in first-time moms. The quasi-approach and experimental pre-post strategy are used in this study. Mothers who had their first child at the Bangetayu health center made up the sample, which was made up of 50 people chosen at random from the whole population. Questionnaires filled out before and after the activity were used to collect data. The 50 people who filled out the Wilcoxon test showed that mothers' knowledge, attitudes, and skills were different before and after education. The p value of 0.001 (p value <0.05) means that mothers' knowledge, attitudes, and skills on exclusive breastfeeding were different before and after education. Lactation instruction had an effect on the practice of nursing exclusively for the first six months after giving birth.
