Abstract

The Coronavirus epidemic (Covid-19) which has infected the entire world has also arrived in Indonesia. Bali Province was not spared from this virus attack. Covid-19 Positive Cases in Denpasar City accounted for 31% of all positive cases in Bali Province. One of the recovered patients came from North Denpasar District, Peguyangan Kangin Village. The Central Government through the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia has issued a Circular Letter of the Minister of Health Republic of Indonesia concerning the Protocol to Prevent the Transmission of the Covid-19 virus, one of which is by using masks for people who leave their homes. This has caused STD Bali as a Design School to participate in preventing the transmission of the Covid-19 virus. STD Bali in Community Service activities carried out the "Movement of 1000 masks" to prevent the transmission of the Covid-19 virus. The method used is to form a Production Team, Design Team, Distribution Team and Documentation Team. The Production Team is responsible for the supply, distribution and manufacture of masks. The Design Team is in charge as infographic planning, design, packaging and printing. The Distribution Team did the mapping, data collection and distribution of masks and the Documentation Team was tasked with documenting each activity. Implementation of the 1000 Masks Movement Activity, one of which was distributed in Banjar Ambengan Peguyangan Kangin, North Denpasar. Banjar Ambengan consists of 400 residents, of which the heterogeneous population background is due to migrants from outside Banjar who have become residents of the Banjar Dinas Ambengan. The submission of masks in Banjar Ambengan was carried out by the Distribution and Documentation Team and was received by Kelian Adat and the Head of the Banjar Ambengan Hamlet, where in this activity the health protocol was implemented by maintaining a minimum distance of 1 m and using masks. Submission of the mask as well as an explanation of the packaging that contains info about the Covid-19 virus, how to prevent and how to use the mask correctly. It is hoped that this activity can help the community in preventing the transmission of the Covid-19 virus and correct information about how to prevent the transmission of the Covid-19 virus.

Abstract

Corona atau sering disebut juga dengan COVID-19, virus ini menimbulkan kepanikan yang sangat luar biasa, bukan hanya di bagian wilayah dan daerah namun juga kepanikan bagi seluruh dunia. Dampak yang dapat ditimbulkan oleh virus Corona yang menyebabkan kepanikan tersebut ialah seorang yang telah terkena virus tersebut akan jatuh sakit yang tidak dapat langsung terdeteksi, karena untuk mengetahuinya harus melakukan beberapa tes. Kemudian virus Corona tersebut juga penularannya sangat mudah, dan bahkan bagi yang terkena dampak dari virus Corona akan dapat sampai menyebabkan kematian. Sekolah Tinggi Desain Bali dengan program pengabdian kepada masyarakat telah menyalurkan kepeduliannya terhadap masyarakat dengan melakukan kegiatan gerakan 1000 masker. Gerakan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini diharapkan dapat membantu pencegahan dan pengurangan jumlah korban dari virus Corona. Dalam perancangan desain, melalui beberapa tahapan, dari mencari referensi, brainstorming, sampai dengan pengaplikasian. Tahapan – tahapan dalam pembuatan desain sangat diperlukan guna menghasilkan desain yang sesuai dengan tema, dan sesuai dalam mengemas masker hasil produksi. Sebuah Desain yang baik harus memiliki nilai estetis, supaya menarik dan juga harus dapat berkomunikasi yang baik supaya informasi dapat tersampaikan secara utuh dan tepat sasaran.

Abstract

Kreativitas dalam kehidupan manusia selalu dapat memberikan suatu perubahan yang dinamis. Setiap manusia dilahirkan dengan memiliki potensi kreatif. Namun, terkadang ada individu yang kreatif dan ada yang tidak kreatif, hal ini lebih disebabkan oleh adanya individu yang mengembangkan kreativitasnya dan ada yang tidak sama sekali. Berbeda dengan kemampuan fisik dan rasio, kreativitas tak bisa dibina sendirian. Kreativitas hanya akan bekerja bila hadir bersama kemampuan-kemampuan lainnya. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dalam rangkaian acara Clinic Desing – STD Bali Design Week, bertujuan untuk melakukan pemberdayaan pada usaha mikro, kecil, dan menengah (UMKM). Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah metode proses kreatif melalui konsultasi dalam bidang desain khusunya pada desain kemasan. Hasil yang didapat dalam kegiatan konsultasi dalam bidang desain ini dapat menyatakan bahwa, bila segala sesuatu begitu mudah sehingga dapat dicerna oleh kemampuan fisik dan rasio yang telah dimiliki, maka kreativitas tidak akan ikut terlibat dan tidak akan ikut terbina. Selain itu, pemberian suatu kehormatan maupun apresiasi dalam upaya penemuan pemecahan masalah mampun mebuatn kreativitas dari para pelaku UMKM untuk berkembang.

Abstract

This community service activity is a collaboration of a team of lecturers and students from the Bali School of Design (STD Bali) and the Academy of Information and Computer Management (AMIK) New Media with the Student Association held in mid-April precisely on April 18, 2020, at the Yadnya Market, Kesiman Traditional Village Kesiman Village, East Denpasar District. This activity received a very good reception from the Yadnya Market and also the Traditional Village of Kesiman. Distribution of 1000 Masks in the Yadnya Kesiman Market environment is a form of community service in STD Bali and AMIK New Media in participating in preventing and breaking the chain of the spread of Covid Virus 10. Some of the factors supporting this activity include: STD Bali Institute Support and AMIK New Media especially the Putra Indonesia Education Foundation in funding activities, STD Bali Campus has a Fashion Design major so it is very helpful in the preparation of 1000 masks to be distributed. In addition, this activity also received full support from Yadnya Market Management and Kesiman Customary Village Management. Some of the obstacles encountered during this activity include: (1) There are limitations in the number of sewing machines used to sew masks on campus so that students sew at home. (2) The existence of the Covid 19 outbreak that caused the sewing process on campus to be slightly hampered because it had to implement Social Distancing. (3) The mask distribution activities cannot be handed over directly to traders in the Yadnya Market to avoid the crowds of the community, so the surrender is carried out symbolically to the Head of the Yadnya Market

Abstract

Pandemi COVID -19 yang menyebar hampir di seluruh belahan dunia tidak terkecuali Bali memiliki dampak yang begitu besar, serta mengakibatkan kepanikan dan ketakutan bagi masyarakat. Menyikapi kondisi sosial yang terjadi, pemerintah secara nasional mengambil kebijakan untuk menanggulangi penyebaran wabah virus COVID-19 ini dengan menerapkan himbauan melakukan aktivitas dari rumah dan protokol kesehatan selama menghadapi pandemi ini. Sebagai perguruan tinggi yang bermuara pada desain, Sekolah Tinggi Desain Bali juga memberikan sosialisasi tentang himbauan untuk melindungi diri dari penularan virus COVID-19 melalui pemanfaatan media desain komunikasi visual sehingga dapat mengedukasi masyarakat untuk dapat memahami dan menerapkan himbauan pencegahan tersebut secara efektif. Metode yang digunakan dalam mendesain adalah diskusi dan analisis kebutuhan media dan informasi, menentukan konsep dan eksekusi desain. Pada Perancangan flyer infografis sebagai sarana sosialisasi upaya pencegahan penularan COVID-19 menerapkan konsep Edukasi Ceria, informasi yang ditampilkan yaitu tentang protokol kesehatan saat pandemic COVID-19 dan tata cara pencucian masker kain non medis. Di tunjang oleh penerapan ilustrasi dengan gaya visual kartun dan penggunaan warna cerah seperti orange dan biru yang bertujuan untuk dapat menghasilkan desain yang memiliki informasi singkat, namun padat akan pengetahuan dengan tampilan ceria untuk menarik perhatian dan menghilangkan kesan terlalu baku atau menakutkan.

Abstract

The purpose of this report is to provide an overview of the preparation and implementation of Community Service activities at the Bali Institute of Design and Business in making murals at the Astagina Padangsambian Klod Denpasar field. The benefit of this report is that it provides an overview of the process of preparing and working on a mural as a form of cultural re-interpretation which also supports the vision and mission of Denpasar City as a cultural-minded creative city. The method used in the process and work of this Community Service is to prepare designs inspired by Balinese culture such as kite, congklak, tajog, Barong dance, etc. which are then visualized through a mural with a flat design with attractive colors. The results of the Community Service activities through the reinterpretation of Balinese culture on the mural at Astagina Field, Padangsambian Klod, give a new color to the Astagina field walls as well as provide cultural education to the local community and the general public.

Abstract

Beautifying the environment is one form of our concern as creatures who depend on an environment to live. By beautifying an environment will create a comfortable impression and atmosphere to be in that environment. One of the actions that can beautify the environment is to do mural activities on walls or walls that are less attractive in appearance. Mural is an activity of painting or drawing on flat media, walls, walls or large surfaces that are permanent in nature. Based on the results of observations that have been made in the Astagina Field, which is located on Jl. Mt. Tangkuban Perahu No.291, Padangsambian Klod, Kec. Denpasar Bar., Denpasar City, Bali 80117, has one corner of the large wall that is unkempt and unattractive. So that the Bali Design and Business Institute will carry out mural creation activities in Astagina Field to beautify the environment as well as an embodiment of community service programs.

Abstract

This community service activity was carried out by a team of lecturers from the Bali Design and Business Institute (IDB Bali) together with the Visual Communication Design Department Student Association and also the “Perkamen” Student Activity Unit held at the end of 2020 to be precise starting on November 7, 2020 until handover on 13. December 2020, at the Astagina Field, Padangsambian Klod Village, West Denpasar. This activity received a very good welcome and high enthusiasm from both lecturers, students and also the community in the area, and received sponsorship from Dulux. The purpose of the collaborative mural activity between IDB Bali and Padangsambian Klod Village and sponsored by PT ICI Paints Indonesia or better known as Dulux ™ premium paint manufacturer apart from being a forum for pouring out student talents in the field of images in the realm of developing modern designs in society, as well as a medium in introducing Balinese traditional sports culture to the general public. Some of the supporting factors for these activities include: the enthusiasm of lecturers and students in mural activities, sponsorship support from Dulux in supporting the paint used for murals, and the support of the Padangsambian Klod Village. Some of the obstacles faced during this mural activity include: (1) Erratic weather, especially rain, (2) The Covid 19 outbreak caused the team involved in the work to not work optimally to avoid the crowd.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Community Service Activities were also organized by IDB Bali (Bali Design and Business Institute), in the form of mural design activities located in Astagina Court, Padangsambian Klod Village, Denpasar City. In this community service, a mural with a cultural and aesthetic function was created. The cultural function is manifested by presenting the unique and distinctive culture of Denpasar City, some of which are Legong dance, Baris Dance, Genggong traditional music, Janggan kites, traditional children's games, and etcetera. This mural is not just an art medium without a message, but its also able to bring out the identity of Denpasar City. The aesthetic function is displayed in a contemporary design that were displayed as a contemporary impression so that it can encourage and increase comfort for Astagina Court’s users. The implementation method used in the activities includes sketching the initial image first. This sketches aims to make it easier for students to get an initial picture before creating the mural on the wall. This mural design has the theme of a typical Denpasar culture. In the site of the implementation, students and lecturers began cleaning the wall area and amplifying the walls. Followed by basic paint on the wall, and made sketches on the wall. Then the next day continued with coloring and finishing using Dulux paint. This activity was carried out by IDB Bali students who are members of an art club called “Perkamen”, involving 40 students and 45 lecturers from IDB Bali (Bali Design and Business Institute) and New Media College.

Abstract

Sejak awal Januari 2020 Covid-19 sudah dideklarasikan sebagai Darurat Kesehatan Masyarakat secara Global oleh Organisasi Kesehatan Dunia (WHO). Covid-19 atau disebut sebagai Coronavirus sudah menjadi wabah dunia yang tidak dapat dibendung pergerakannya. Seluruh negara di dunia terjangkiti virus tersebut termasuk di Indonesia. Segala acara dilakukan pemerintah untuk mencegah penyebaran covid-19 bagi masyarakat, salah satunya adalah anjuran untuk wajib menggunakan masker baik medis maupun non medis. Berdasarkan anjuran tersebut Sekolah Tinggi Desain Bali membuat sebuah program kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat yaitu pembagian 1000 masker (Gerakan 1000 masker kain) sebagai upaya pencegaran penularan covid-19 di kalangan masyarakat Bali sekaligus sebagai wujud tanggung jawab Tri Darma Perguruan Tinggi. 1000 masker dibuat oleh mahasiswa dan dosen jurusan Desain Mode dengan mengaplikasikan kemampuan menjahit yang telah dipelajari pada mata kuliah Teknik Jahit Dasar. Masker dibuat secara kolektif oleh mahasiswa dan hasilnya 1000 masker berbahan dasar kain kemudian dibagikan kepada masyarakat Bali di berbagai wilayah guna mencegah penularan covid-19 oleh civitas akademika Sekolah Tinggi Desain Bali.
