Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas pemanfaatan koagulanPoly Aluminium Chloride (PAC) dalam proses koagulasi–flokulasi untukmenurunkan kekeruhan air baku. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalaheksperimen deskriptif dengan tahapan koagulasi, flokulasi, dan sedimentasimenggunakan PAC (Poly Aluminium Chloride) sebagai koagulan, dimana PAC (Poly Aluminium Chloride) yang sudah dilarutkan dituangkan kedalam air bakudengan konsentrasi PAC (Poly Aluminium Chloride) sekitar ±1%, kemudiandilakukan pengadukan selama 10 menit dan didiamkan kurang lebih 1 jam agar koagulan tersebar merata dan menetralkan muatan partikel koloid penyebabkekeruhan. Partikel yang telah ternetralisasi kemudian saling bergabungmembentuk flok pada tahap flokulasi, lalu flok yang terbentuk mengendap pada tahap sedimentasi. Pengamatan dilakukan secara visual terhadap perubahankekeruhan, pembentukan flok, dan proses pengendapan. Hasil penelitianmenunjukkan bahwa penambahan PAC (Poly Aluminium Chloride) mampumembentuk flok yang lebih besar dan stabil serta menghasilkan pemisahan yang jelas antara air jernih dan endapan, sehingga kekeruhan air berkurang secarasignifikan dibandingkan kondisi awal.

Abstract

Stunting is an underlying nutritional problem that has long-term effects on growth and cognitive and human resource quality. High prevalence rates of stunting are affected by various factors, including dietary levels, lower levels of parent education, and limited community knowledge and understanding regarding early stunting prevention. This activity is expected to enhance community knowledge and understanding, especially at the family and community levels, concerning effective approaches and strategies on stunting prevention and education. In achieving this objective, the research method involved using a qualitative approach by involving community service activities in socialization, counseling, discussion, and Q & A processes involving Karangduwet villagers in Winong District, Boyolali Regency. Results indicated that there was an increase in knowledge and understanding among villagers and especially among members involved in the PKK program concerning knowledge and understanding of stunting causes, the significance of attuned nutrition and environmental health, and community involvement in stunting prevention. Communicative and participating approaches and processes in health and educational programs are thus important and highly effective approaches intended to encourage community involvement and participation.

Abstract

The goal of this community service program is to increase public awareness of how digital technology and English language skills work together to prepare people for the workplace. The program employed a qualitative and community-based participatory method to provide interactive training, technology-mediated English practice, and mentoring activities that were based on actual workplace scenarios. In order to record participants' learning experiences and attitudes, data were gathered via observation, in-depth interviews, and focus group conversations. The results indicate that combining technology with English enhances participants' digital literacy, communication confidence, and knowledge of workplace expectations. The program also illustrates how experiential and participatory learning can effectively promote skill development and encourage ongoing education. In conclusion, this initiative emphasizes the significance of integrating language proficiency and technological proficiency in community service programs in order to increase employability and workforce flexibility.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to strengthen students’ understanding of tolerance as a foundation for creating a harmonious and inclusive school environment. The program, conducted at SMA Negeri 2 Boyolali, impelemented interactive education trough presentations, discussions, and case analysis related to intolerance issue commonly found in school settings. The activity emphasized the concept of tolerance, respect for differences, and the role of schools in supporting diversity. The findings show that students gained better awareness of various forms of intolerant behavior and demonstrated improved understanding of the importance of tolerance in daily social interactions. The activity also encouraged student commeitment to maintaining unity and social harmony in school. These results indicate that tolerance-based educational programs play an essential role in preventing discriminatory behavior and strengthening multicultural awareness among students.

Abstract

The process of communication and social interaction can lead to a speaker's tendency to utilize the potential of language variations. Code switching and code mixing are one of the language variations to maintain togetherness in their community, this is the subject of sociolinguistic studies on the topic of code switching and code mixing analysis. Code switching and code mixing are the replacement of the use of a particular language or language variety into another language. This study aims to describe the forms of code switching and certain forms of code mixing found in social media Instagram in the captions of the @sunda_humor account. This research method uses qualitative and quantitative descriptive methods. The data in this study are in the form of language use in the captions on the @sunda_humor Instagram account. The form of the data is in the form of data that has been processed using a corpus tool from the Sketch Engine website. The results of the corpus data were processed using the Scrapper application and entered into Sketch Engine. The data were entered into Sketch Engine and analyzed for code mixing, code switching, and the frequency of the resulting Sundanese language data. The results of the study indicate that the analysis of the forms of code switching that appear in the @sunda_humor Instagram captions is a form of code switching from Sundanese to Indonesian and from Indonesian to Sundanese. The forms of code mixing that emerge include Sundanese into Indonesian, Indonesian into Sundanese, and English.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of literacy in strengthening 4C competencies Critical Thinking, Communication, Collaboration, and Creativity as essential 21st-century skills among students at SMK Al Khoeriyah Tasikmalaya. Literacy is understood as a key foundation for vocational graduates to adapt to technological change and workplace demands. Using a qualitative case study approach, the research involved the vice principal of curriculum, vocational subject teachers, and students from grades XI and XII. Data were gathered through observation, structured and semi-structured interviews, and documentation. Data analysis followed Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña’s interactive model, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, with triangulation used to ensure validity. Findings show that literacy particularly digital and information literacy contributes significantly to the development of critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration through project-based learning activities. However, implementation varies across subjects due to limited teacher readiness, inadequate technological facilities, and assessment systems that do not explicitly evaluate 4C outcomes. The study concludes that literacy can serve as a driver of 21st-century competencies when supported by relevant instructional design and institutional commitment at the school level.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effect of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) knowledge on the behavior of using electrical beauty devices among students of the Beauty Education Study Program at Universitas Negeri Jakarta. A quantitative approach was employed using survey and test methods. The sample consisted of 64 students selected through purposive sampling, with criteria including completion of OHS-related courses and experience in using electrical beauty devices. Data were collected using an OHS knowledge test and a questionnaire measuring safe behavior in the use of electrical beauty devices, both of which had passed validity and reliability testing. Data analysis was conducted using simple linear regression with SPSS version 25. The results indicated that OHS knowledge had a positive and significant effect on the behavior of using electrical beauty devices, as shown by a t-value of 3.246, which exceeded the t-table value of 1.999, and a significance level of 0.002 (p < 0.05). The regression coefficient of 1.090 suggested that each one-unit increase in OHS knowledge was associated with an improvement in safe and appropriate usage behavior of electrical beauty devices. These findings highlighted the importance of strengthening OHS knowledge to promote safe work behavior among beauty education students.

Abstract

This study aims to examine in depth the reality of public participation among coastal women who are fishermen’s wives in Branta Village, Tlanakan District, Pamekasan Regency, a group that has often been perceived as traditional and constrained by patriarchal culture. Employing a qualitative approach with a sociological perspective, this research explores the lived experiences, subjective meanings, and social practices of coastal women through their involvement in village organizations and community activities, such as the Family Welfare Movement (PKK), integrated health services (posyandu), religious study groups (pengajian), rotating savings groups (arisan), village clean-up activities, coastal environmental conservation, as well as socio-economic activities and non-formal education. The findings indicate that coastal women who are fishermen’s wives in Branta Village, Tlanakan District, Pamekasan Regency, play significant and multidimensional public roles in the fields of education, culture, social life, non-formal politics, and household economy. Women’s involvement as village volunteers and community mobilizers is not merely an extension of their domestic roles but constitutes social practices imbued with values of care, solidarity, collective responsibility, and cultural negotiation. These findings affirm that Madurese culture does not entirely hinder women’s public participation; instead, it provides adaptive spaces that enable women to perform public roles in legitimate and contextually accepted ways. The novelty of this study lies in its interpretation of Madurese coastal women’s participation through everyday social practices and non-formal political engagement, which have received limited attention in mainstream scholarly discourse. Theoretically, this research broadens the understanding of women’s participation by moving beyond the domestic–public and traditional–modern dichotomies. Practically, the findings highlight the importance of gender-sensitive and culturally contextualized village development policies that recognize coastal women as key actors in social sustainability and coastal community development.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Children's Tooth Imitation Media on the learning outcomes of subtraction of numbers 1-10 in first grade students at Sugihwaras Public Elementary School in Sidoarjo. The study used a quasi-experimental approach with a nonequivalent control group design. Data were collected through a multiple-choice learning outcome test that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis used an Independent Sample t-test after first conducting prerequisite analysis tests, including the Kolmogorov-Smirnov normality test (p = 0.401 for the experiment and p = 0.605 for the control) and Levene's Test of homogeneity (p = 0.149). The results showed a significant difference between the experimental and control groups (t = 4.12; p = 0.000). The Effect size obtained was in the large category (Cohen's d = 1.12). Thus, it can be concluded that the Children's Tooth Imitation Media has a significant and substantive effect on the learning outcomes of 1-10 number reduction in first-grade elementary school students. This media is effective as a concrete and contextual learning aid in mathematics in accordance with the cognitive development characteristics of lower grade students.

Abstract

Patients, as recipients of healthcare services, have the right to legal protection, particularly when they become victims of criminal acts in the healthcare sector. In practice, violations that cause physical, psychological, and material harm to patients are still common, both due to negligence and unlawful acts committed by healthcare workers or healthcare institutions. This study aims to analyze the forms of criminal legal protection for patients as victims of healthcare crimes and to measure the effectiveness of the application of criminal sanctions in providing justice and legal certainty. The research method used is normative legal research with a legal and contextual approach, through a review of the Criminal Code, Law Number 36 of 2009 concerning Health, and other related regulations. The results indicate that normatively, criminal legal protection for patients is regulated through criminal provisions governing acts of negligence, intentional acts, and violations of professional standards in the healthcare sector. However, in practice, obstacles remain, including the difficulty of proving other criminal elements, the unequal position between patients and healthcare workers, and victims' limited understanding of legal mechanisms. Therefore, strengthening regulations, improving law enforcement, and harmonizing criminal and healthcare laws are necessary to ensure effective protection for patients as victims of healthcare crimes.
