Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan yang signifikan antara harga diri  dengan presentasi diri tidak autentik (inauthentic self presentation) pada pengguna instagram aktif. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain kuantitatif korelasional. Populasi pada penelitian ini yaitu wanita usia 18-25 tahun yang memiliki akun instagram serta pernah mengunggah postingan pada akun instagramnya. Teknik pengambilan sampel pada penelitan ini memakai teknik purposive sampling dengan jumlah 273 orang. Instrumen pada penelitian ini menggunakan skala Self Presentation On Facebook Questionnaire (SPFBQ) oleh Michikyan et al. (2015) yang sudah dimodifikasi oleh peneliti  dan mengadaptasi skala  State Self Esteem Scale (SESS) oleh Heatherton (1991) yang sudah diterjemahkan dan dimodifikasi oleh Hasanati, ( 2020). Hasil analisis dengan menggunakan analisis  data korelasi pearson product moment dan didapatkan koefisien yang berkorelasi (r) = -0,473 dengan nilai signifikasn sebesar = .000 (p<0,05) artinya terdapat hubungan yang negatif signifikan antara harga diri dengan  presentasi diri tidak autentik ( inauthentic self presentation )pada pengguna instagram aktif. Harga diri merupakan faktor yang mempengaruhi inauthentic self presentation pada pengguna instagram aktif. Pengguna instagram dengan harga diri yang rendah cenderung melakukan strategi dalam mempresentasikan dirinya di instagram. Harga diri memiliki hubungan negatif yang signifikan dengan inauthentic self presentation , sehingga semakin rendah harga diri pengguna instagram maka semakin tinggi inauthentic self presentation pada pengguna instagram aktif, begitu sebaliknya.

Abstract

Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk melihat hubungan antara big five personality traits dengan fear of missing out pada mahasiswa pengguna Instagram. Subjek dalam penelitian ini berasal dari berbagai mahasiswa dan berkuliah di Kota Padang, berjenis kelamin laki-laki dan perempuan, berusia 18-25 tahun, dan aktif menggunakan Instagram. Teknik pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini memakai Teknik purposive sampling dengan jumlah 272 orang. Instrumen pada penelitian ini menggunakan skala Big five Personality inventory (BFI) yang adaptasi dari Ramdhani (2012) berjumlah 28 butir dan skala ONFoMO yang diadaptasi dari Kurniawan & Utami (2022) berjumlah 20 butir. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan korelasi product moment. Hasil analisis data menemukan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara dimensi agreeableness dengan fear of missing out (rxy = 0,126) sig 0,03 dan neuroticism dengan fear of missing out (rxy = 0,273) sig 0,00 . Sementara itu hasil koefisien korelasi antara dimensi openness (rxy = 0,019) sig 0,754 , conscientiousness (rxy = -0,076) sig 0,211 , dan extraversion (rxy = -0,028) sig 0,640 tidak berhubungan dengan fear of missing out. Big five personality merupakan faktor yang mempengaruhi fear of missing out pada pengguna Instagram. Tipe kepribadian yang terdapat di big five personality yaitu agreeableness dan neuroticism memiliki hubungan yang berkorelasi positif dengan fear of missing out pada mahasiswa pengguna Instagram.

Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus Tipe 2 (DMT2) memengaruhi kualitas hidup seseorang. Konsep kemandirian membantu penderita DMT2 mengendalikan kondisinya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana self-empowerment dan kualitas hidup penderita DMT2 berhubungan. Studi ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dan korelasional. Penelitian ini melibatkan pria dan wanita dari Bukittinggi. Jumlah sampel yang diambil secara tidak sengaja adalah tiga puluh responden. Alat pengukur DES-LF dan DQOL digunakan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sekitar 83.3% responden yang memiliki self-empowerment rendah menunjukkan kualitas hidup yang tinggi berkat dukungan keluarga dan kepercayaan diri yang lebih besar. Sebaliknya, sekitar 16.7% responden yang memiliki self-empowerment tinggi menunjukkan kualitas hidup yang rendah karena stres yang tinggi yang disebabkan oleh penyakit jangka panjang. Sementara stres dan ketidakmampuan mengelola penyakit mempengaruhi kualitas hidup penderita DMT2, dukungan keluarga sangat penting untuk meningkatkan self-empowerment.

Abstract

Stroke is the third leading cause of death after heart disease and cancer. Although stroke cases are increasing and accompanied by rapid advances in medical treatment, people prefer the use of traditional medicine because the costs incurred are cheaper than medical treatment and they believe that using alternative (traditional) medicine is safer and faster to recover compared to chemical drugs measured through the health belief model theory. The purpose of this study was to look at the description of the health belief model in stroke patients at ustad X's traditional treatment. This study uses descriptive quantitative methods. The population in this study were patients with stroke who sought treatment at Ustadz X Traditional Medicine with a sample size of 32 people. Sampling in this study using non probability sampling technique with accidental sampling type. The results showed that stroke patients at Ustadz X's traditional treatment had a health belief model categorized at a high level both in the perception of vulnerability of 30 respondents (93.8%), perceived severity of 24 respondents (75%), perceived benefits of 31 respondents (96.9%), perceived barriers of 32 respondents (100%), and cues to take action 25 respondents (78.1%).

Abstract

During adolescence, a person will go through several phases with varying levels of difficulty in their developmental tasks. Adolescence is a developmental period that is closely related to emotional problems. This research aims to determine the description of emotional maturity in adolescents, to understand the description of parenting patterns applied to adolescents. To determine the differences in emotional maturity of adolescents in terms of the form of parental parenting. This research uses quantitative research methodology, this research is descriptive in nature. Descriptive research is a research method that attempts to describe, describe and interpret objects as they are without intending to draw conclusions that apply to the general public. The population used in this research is teenagers who have the characteristics of teenagers aged 13-18 years, living with their parents/guardians and also domiciled in Bukittinggi. There were 80 teenagers in this study Data collection instruments were created in natural and technical conditionsThe data collection is based more on internal statements scale and questionnaire form. Based on hypothesis testing using the Kruskal Wallis test in SPSS, Asymp results were obtained. Sig is 0.012. This value is smaller than 0.05 so it can be said that H0 is accepted and Ha is rejected, which means there is no difference in the emotional maturity of teenagers in terms of the form of parenting applied by parents.

Abstract

Gender issues are one of the many problems faced by women which are related to the way men and women are viewed from a non-biological perspective. Traditionally there is a view that men can fulfill their desires while women cannot. The thing that underlies the emergence of certain preferences for gender stereotypes or gender roles is attitude. Attitudes are basically subjective and individual, so there is a high possibility of differences that can lead to conflict or division. How a person responds to this is called gender role attitudes. This research aims to describe and explain how the owner of Pusako Minang interprets her gender role as a minang woman and as a woman entrepreneur. The data collected from this research were obtained through in-depth interviews with owner songket Pusako Minang Pandai Sikek. The data obtained was then analyzed and validated using the method proposed by Miles and Huberman. In this research, three themes were found, namely the business undertaken, women entrepreneurs and gender role attitudes. The first theme consists of entrepreneurial motivation, songket business, the ups and downs of business and the principles of entrepreneurship. The second theme consists of the journey to becoming an entrepreneur, the benefits of becoming an entrepreneur, and the characteristics of entrepreneurs. The third theme is gender role attitudes which consist of gender roles, maintaining ancestral heritage, the benefits of weaving skills, life principles, and dual roles.

Abstract

The large number of people who are entrepreneurs in a country is one of the biggest factors in the advancement of a country. Including one of them civil servants who already have a permanent job they also have their own business due to the motivation to open a business. Motivation to open a business is an impulse that is influenced by oneself (internal) or outside oneself (external) that moves individuals to behave, act, and think consciously to open a business or become an entrepreneur. This study aims to determine, describe and explain the motivation to open a business in civil servants, by conducting semi-structured interviews with two research subjects, namely one woman and one man who work as civil servants and have had a business for more than five years. This research was conducted using qualitative research methods with a phenomenological approach. Data analysis in this study used data analysis techniques according to Miles and Huberman which consisted of three steps, namely: data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. The results of the study obtained that the research subjects opened a business influenced by internal factors such as self-will, hobbies, skills, desire to be independent, ambition, and desire to help. Then it is also influenced by external factors such as family, work environment, and family economy. The difference between the two research subjects is that the female subject opened a business because of the desire to be independent while the male subject opened a business because he wanted to make his business an icon in the area where he lived. In addition, the similarities between the two research subjects are that they see, find and take advantage of business opportunities when working as civil servants. Another similarity is due to running two professions, namely as a civil servant and entrepreneurship, both subjects have time management and the role of family in the business they run.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of social comparison on the fear of missing out among students at Padang State University. This research uses quantitative methods with a correlational quantitative design. The data collection technique uses cluster sampling. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire with a Likert scale model which is distributed with the help of the Google Form feature. The sample for this research was 188 respondents. The research instrument used Kurniawan & Utami's (2022) fear of missing out scale which was adapted from (Sette et al., 2020), as well as a social comparison scale based on aspects of Buunk et al., (2003). The results of the research used simple linear regression analysis and the results showed that social comparison had a positive and significant effect on fear of missing out in students at Padang State University.

Abstract

Mahasiswa merupakan kaum akademisi yang secara umum berada dalam tahap perkembangan usia emerging adulthood. Berbagai dinamika yang terjadi pada tahap perkembangan ini memengaruhi bagaimana cara individu dalam mengevaluasi kehidupannya. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui bagaimana self-compassion dan komunikasi interpersonal dengan orang tua berkontribusi terhadap subjective well-being mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian korelasional. Sampel penelitian diambil menggunakan teknik probability sampling dengan jenis cluster sampling berdasarkan fakultas yang ada di Universitas Negeri Padang. Mahasiswa yang berpartisipasi menjadi subjek penelitian berjumlah 269 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah skala yang disusun dengan model Likert. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa self-compassion dan komunikasi interpersonal dengan orang tua berkontribusi secara signifikan dan positif terhadap subjective well-being mahasiswa dengan nilai kontribusi sebesar 64.5%.

Abstract

Masyarakat Indonesia memiliki karakteristik tidak terencana dan suka bertindak last minute, yang mana dapat menyebabkan terjadinya impulsive buying. Salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhinya adalah store atmosphere, yaitu suasana toko yang diciptakan oleh peritel untuk meningkatkan pembelian. Akan tetapi, pengaruh yang diberikan tersebut bergantung pada self-control yang dimiliki oleh individu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh store atmosphere terhadap perilaku impulsive buying dengan self-control sebagai variabel mediator pada konsumen Miss Glam di Kota Padang. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kausal dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah konsumen Miss Glam di Kota Padang. Adapun teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling, dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 100 orang. Adapun analisis data yang digunakan yaitu path analysis dan uji Sobel test. Berdasarkan hasil analisis model I ditemukan terdapat sebesar 4.1% pengaruh store atmosphere terhadap self-control. Sedangkan hasil analisis model II ditemukan terdapat 37% pengaruh store atmosphere terhadap perilaku impulsive buying yang dimediasi oleh self-control. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa self-control dapat memediasi pengaruh store atmosphere terhadap perilaku impulsive buying.
