Abstract

Adopting a healthy lifestyle, which includes the use of traditional medicinal plants (TOGA), can help prevent noncommunicable diseases such as diabetes mellitus and hypertension. The goal of this project is to raise public awareness of the benefits of TOGA as a modern herbal tea that can help control blood sugar and blood pressure levels. Various methods were used, including outreach activities, blood pressure and blood sugar level checks, distribution of herbal tea, as well as organoleptic surveys and interviews. The results showed that participants responded positively to the herbal tea product, with 50% indicating they “really liked” it, 33.33% indicating they “liked” it, and 16.67% indicating they were “neutral.” Regarding aroma, 33.33% indicated they “really liked” it, 44.44% indicated they “liked” it, 16.66% were “neutral,” and 5.55% indicated they “did not like” it. for taste, “love it very much” was 55.55%, “like it” was 44.44%, and finally, for packaging, “love it very much” was 66.66%, and “like it” was 33.33%. The highest level of preference was for packaging, followed by taste, color, and aroma. This activity increased public understanding of the use of TOGA and encouraged the use of herbal tea as an alternative to support a healthy lifestyle.

Abstract

The 2026 Community Service Program (KKN) of Universitas Pelita Bangsa in Bantargebang Village focused on community empowerment and environmental mitigation through green space initiatives. Bantargebang Village has unique social and economic characteristics as the largest Integrated Waste Processing Site (TPST) in the Jabodetabek area. This situation creates various problems, one of which is suboptimal environmental management and a decline in the quality of open green spaces. This community service used a descriptive qualitative approach with a participatory method, positioning students and the community as active collaborators from the planning to the implementation stages. The program coordinated 47 students from various study programs to execute a tree-planting movement in the RW 06 area on August 13, 2026, which was also inaugurated by university leaders. The results indicate that the physical intervention in the form of greening successfully acted as a catalyst in building collective ecological awareness. With the instrument of handing over maintenance responsibilities post-activity, this integrated KKN program has proven to make a real contribution to citizen participation and encourage the creation of sustainable micro-ecosystem development.

Abstract

An abstract is a crucial component of a scientific article, as it provides a concise overview of the entire study. At a minimum, it includes a brief description of the research background, objectives, methodology, and findings. Among these elements, the research findings warrant particular emphasis, as they convey the study's primary discoveries to the reader. Abstracts must be drafted systematically, clearly, and concisely to ensure the core of the research is understood without requiring the reader to go through the entire article. In scientific writing, abstracts are presented in both Indonesian and English to broaden the readership and facilitate the dissemination of research results. They are typed with single spacing and narrower margins than those used for the main text. Additionally, abstracts must include keywords that reflect the subject area, research focus, and key terms employed in the study. These keywords limited to five entries may consist of single words or phrases. Keywords are vital for computerized systems, as they facilitate the retrieval of articles, titles, and abstracts via scientific search engines.

Abstract

Local wisdom is a strategic asset for community empowerment, yet many traditional practices face a slow erosion of transmission to younger generations. This study examines the empowerment of local potential through the preservation of Ale Tuyu, a traditional woven-mat craft that has long formed part of the social and economic life of the community in Lembang Polopadang. The program was carried out by a group of university students through a community-service (KKN) scheme using a participatory action approach consisting of situational analysis, participatory planning, joint implementation, and evaluation. Activities included cultural observation, interviews with traditional leaders and Ale Tuyu craftspeople, introductory sessions for youth, hands-on weaving practice, and documentation of the craft process. The results show that the community increasingly recognises Ale Tuyu as a source of cultural identity and livelihood, young people began to engage directly in weaving practice, and collaborative relationships formed between students, craftspeople, and local leaders. The preservation process positioned residents as active agents rather than passive beneficiaries, indicating that culture-based empowerment can strengthen both local identity and community self-reliance. The study recommends sustained mentoring, intergenerational learning spaces, and stronger institutional support to secure the continuity of Ale Tuyu as a living tradition.

Abstract

This activity aimed to identify and understand the types of cocoa and analyze the stages of cocoa bean processing into chocolate products at Cocoa Land Bali (PT Cau Cokelat Internasional). A descriptive approach with a field study method was used. Data were obtained throught direct observation and documentation during the implementation of the Field Study Program (KKL). The observations showed that cocoa processing consists of several stages, including fermentation, drying, roasting, winnowing, grinding, pressing, shifting, refining, tempering, moulding, cooling, resting and packaging. Each stage has a relate function in producing quality chocolate products with added value. In addition to processing activities, Cocoa Land Bali also develops an educational tourism concept that provides visitors with learning experiences about cocoa and chocolate product. The results indicate that cocoa processing into chocolate is a form of downstream processing that increases the value of cocoa commodities while supporting educational activities, knowledge development and product marketing, as well as introducing local cocoa potential as a competitive commodity.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to enhance financial survival skills and financial independence among the youth generation through applied financial literacy training and the utilization of a Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets-based Digital Personal Finance Tracker. Today's youth face rampant digital transactions that trigger impulsive spending and phantom spending without being accompanied by systematic personal financial management skills. The target partners consisted of 32 youth participants (aged 19–22). The implementation methodology followed five stages: (1) Preparation and coordination, (2) Pre-test & initial Financial Check-Up, (3) Interactive training on 4 Financial Survival Skills (Know, Manage, Track, and Plan Your Money), (4) Hands-on practice and mentoring in using the Digital Personal Finance Tracker, and (5) Post-test evaluation and tracker usability analysis. Results demonstrated a significant increase in participant knowledge and skills, where the average evaluation score increased from 42.50 (low category) on the pre-test to 88.20 (very high category) on the post-test, achieving an N-Gain value of 0.79 (high effectiveness). The usability evaluation of the Digital Personal Finance Tracker scored an average of 4.65 out of 5.00. This activity successfully transformed participants' daily expense tracking habits and fostered the creation of real data-driven monthly budgets.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve the understanding and skills of MSME actors at Pentol Kabul in implementing digital-based cost and inventory recording to enhance operational performance efficiency. Pentol Kabul MSME is a culinary business established in 1994 with a relatively large production scale; however, it still faces challenges related to cost recording and inventory management that are not yet optimal and not digitally implemented. The implementation method consisted of a preparation stage through initial interviews and discussions with academic supervisors, direct observation of production activities, implementation of digital cost and inventory recording counseling, as well as evaluation and monitoring. The counseling activity utilized a Microsoft Excel draft as a digital recording tool using the FIFO method for inventory and sales recording. The results indicate an increase in the MSME owner’s awareness and understanding of the importance of digital cost and inventory recording. The MSME began to apply more orderly and structured recording practices compared to previous conditions. This activity provides benefits in improving cost control, facilitating inventory and sales monitoring, and supporting operational efficiency and business sustainability at Pentol Kabul MSME.

Abstract

The Community of Love (COOL) cell group experienced stagnation in both qualitative and quantitative growth due to the low motivation of members to engage in evangelism, which subsequently hindered group multiplication. This community service activity aimed to transform the evangelistic motivation of COOL members through a contextual mission discipleship approach that is relevant to the surrounding social context. The program involved twelve COOL members who had participated in the cell group for at least six months and was implemented over a three-month period (October–December 2025). The method applied community organizing strategies through three structured phases: theological equipping, contextual mission implementation, and reflective evaluation. Data were obtained through participatory observation, group reflection, and behavioral analysis of members’ engagement during the program. The results indicate a significant transformation in members’ perspectives and behaviors toward evangelism. Evangelism was no longer perceived as a confrontational activity but as a form of social presence expressed through relational engagement and practical acts of care. Members demonstrated increased courage, initiative, and responsibility in initiating contextual spiritual dialogues within the community. Furthermore, the emergence of local leadership potential among members reflects the sustainability of the discipleship model and supports future cell group multiplication. This activity concludes that contextual mission discipleship is an effective strategy for fostering social transformation, strengthening the outward orientation of cell groups, and enhancing the mission-driven growth of the church.
