Abstract

Crime is an act that is detrimental and disrupts people’s comfort and life. Crime has occurred a long time ago, even when Indonesia was still called the archipelago in 1929. The research aims to find out how crime developed in East Kalimantan in 1929. This research uses the historical research method according to Kuntowijoyo which consists of five stages. The first stage is selecting a topic. The second source collection consists of two sources. Primary sources in this research use the Bintang Borneo Newspaper published in 1929. Secondary sources in this research use several history and crime journals. The third stage is Verification. Fourth stage Interpretation. Fifth Stage of Historiography. The results of this research are that when the world experienced the Great Depression in 1929, the majority of crimes that occurred in East Kalimantan in January 1929 were cases of robbery. Other crimes include murder, fights and fraud committed by the police.

Abstract

Social life in the political field in the Bintang Borneo Newspaper was based on the government in 1929-1930. This research aims to find out: (1) Find out about political problems in 1929. (2) Find out about political problems in 1930. This research uses the methods used are critical discourse, content analysis and framing analysis. This method is often used in political news analysis. The results of this research show that the political news conveyed in the Bintang Borneo newspaper does not only discuss political conditions in Kalimantan, especially the banjars, but also discusses issues from outside the region such as Java and even discusses problems abroad.

Abstract

The health needs of the community are exploited by health service providers by advertising health medicines in the mass media. Advertisements offering health medicines are increasingly widespread in print media, generally they are advertised in the form of classified advertisements (mini advertisements) which are relatively cheap. There are quite a lot of advertisers every day in certain newspapers offering various kinds of health medicines such as medicine for stomach ache, medicine for itching and allergies, medicine for constipation, medicine for shortness of breath and so on. This research uses a case study method with a qualitative approach. The aim is to find out the specifications regarding advertising regulations for health drugs advertised through classified ads in local media in Banjarmasin. The conclusion of this research shows that in the 1930s there were quite a lot of health service places in the city of Banjarmasin so it is not surprising that health drug advertisements have also appeared a lot. That is very good because it improves the welfare of the community.

Abstract

The arrival of the Chinese in the archipelago has a long history of migration. The first migration pattern was huashang or trade, which started in mainland China and then expanded to Southeast Asia between the 5th and 18th centuries. Chinese nationalism intensified as a result of the establishment of residence zones (wijkenstelsel), including Chinatown villages, and the passenstelsel system. In 1930 the Chinese community participated in the Indonesian National Party (PNI) which was founded in 1927. To examine the role of the Chinese community in the Indonesian National Party movement in 1930, the historical method is used because the object of the problem is past events. To draft this research using a descriptive qualitative method with a structured narrative description, this article is also written using a literature study. Literature study is defined as a series of activities related to data collection based on library sources, reading and recording. In searching for literature, it is utilized by searching from archives in the form of newspapers and journals on the google scholar site. The rise of Indonesia's national spirit also had an influence on the Chinese. When the PNI was established, some Chinese people were interested in joining it, unfortunately according to the PNI Articles of Association, people of other Asian nations could only become extraordinary members.

Abstract

Newspapers existed as a medium for information and news during the Dutch colonial period. The information and news contained in advertisements is not only about socio-political economics but also advertising. Cosmetic advertisements were the ones that appeared most often in newspapers in the 1930s. The development of skin care products has changed women's perspective on beauty. Cosmetic advertisements in the 1930s outlined the trend and taste of beauty by having clean, brownish skin. This research aims to determine how skin care advertisements in the Bintang Borneo newspaper reflect beauty trends and preferences in 1930.

Abstract

The state inherently played a significant role in the defined digital space governed by various regulations related to telematics. From 2008 to 2024, there were three amendments to the Electronic Information and Transactions Law, each of which had implications for the state's role in the digital realm. The purpose of this article was to elucidate the changes in the state's role in the digital space resulting from alterations in the legal framework of the Electronic Information and Transactions Law. This socio-legal research employed a historical legal approach and discourse analysis concerning the periodization of the development of the Electronic Information and Transactions Law. The findings indicated that the background of changes in the state's role in the digital space was a response to various telematics phenomena that had evolved in society. Currently, there has been a strengthening of the state's role in the digital realm, including measures such as digital access termination for violators of digital rights and extensive supervision of electronic system providers.

Abstract

The issue of education and religion is a fundamental issue and is always an issue of discussion among academics and practitioners. The role of parents at home, teachers at school, and lecturers at campus is considered to be the biggest reason that influences the level of education and spirituality in Indonesia. Various approaches have been used to analyze why the level of education in Indonesia is still one of the worst in Asian countries. Even though our constitution clearly states that one of the duties of the state is to make the nation's life intelligent. The importance of education with character as initial capital to live a true life is found in the family environment, school and campus. In this case, the formation of educational character does not only rely on general knowledge, but must be balanced with spiritual knowledge. This article uses a doctrinal research method, namely the author collects material from literature, both hardcopy and softcopy, related to the title of this research using an analysis of the research object. This article focuses on discussing how the Islamic Religious Education Governance system is in Indonesia and the role of law in improving the quality of Islamic Religious education in Indonesia. Because in Islam, one of the best people is one who is able to produce a quality generation with knowledge and spirituality that reflects the Koran and Sunnah of Rasullullah Shallallahu 'Alaihi wa Sallam.

Abstract

The condition of the ship that is boarded is of course important because if it is neglected, it can have an impact on the security and safety of the passengers. The condition of the ship's cargo that cannot be conditioned often occurs, it can be said that there are no clear provisions regarding the actual cargo of a passenger ship, and the existing supervision is not too strict. On this occasion, the author will discuss the provisions of shipping, especially related to the juridical review of sailing safety and security based on the provisions of Law No. 17 of 2008 concerning Shipping and the principles of legal responsibility for the safety and security of sailing in Law No. 17 of 2008 concerning Shipping. The research method used in this article is normative juridical which is examined by researching primary legal materials and secondary legal materials. The results of the study show that in the provisions of the Shipping Law ships do not just sail away, several maritime requirements must be met, including the safety and security of ships which are part of the ship's seaworthiness. In addition, there are principles of legal responsibility attached to three important elements in sailing, namely the harbor master, skipper, and shipping company.

Abstract

This research is a type of qualitative research with research operationalization using a natural paradigm. Primary data and secondary data are analyzed qualitatively. Then the data that has been collected is processed, qualified and linked systematically to obtain a conclusion regarding the answer to the problem being studied. The results of the research in its implementation found obstacles, among other factors, law enforcers who were not thorough and careful in carrying out their duties. This typo could be something like typing the certificate number, owner's name, etc. This error will become problematic when there are many files to be submitted for auction. The large number of incoming files will become an obstacle and make the auction process take longer. Facilities and infrastructure constraints factor, the bank does not advertise intensively, it is small and more than modest. Community Factors: In carrying out the mortgage rights auction execution, some people still think that this auction execution is not considered a solution to a problem.

Abstract

Research on crime news in the Bintang Borneo newspaper, which was reviewed from January to July 1930, had the aim of finding out the content of the news regarding these criminal acts. The background of the news is statements of a general and actual nature, broadcast by newspapers made by journalists for the benefit of readers (Irawan & Meinanda, 1981:10). This research uses a descriptive qualitative method and uses a historical analysis approach. Historical analysis is an analysis that relies on the aim of describing or reconstructing past events systematically and objectively, by collecting, evaluating, verifyingand connecting evidence to reveal facts and obtain strong conclusions. This research has certain characteristics, namely that thedata collected is not only primary (primary sources obtained from interviews and the researcher's own observations), but also secondary (secondary sources obtained from observations of other people). Apart from that, the data source obtained is in the form of additional data such as documents and related books. To determine the weight of the data, two types of criticism are carried out, namely (1) external: examining the authenticity of the data, and (2) internal: examining the accuracy or data correctness.
