Abstract

This study investigates the relationship between meaning in life and mindfulness with flourishing among career women. The sample consisted of 282 career women selected through purposive sampling. The research utilized scales measuring life meaning, mindfulness, and flourishing. Data analysis was performed using SPSS version 21. The findings revealed a significant positive correlation between life meaning and mindfulness with flourishing, with a significance level of 0.000. These results suggest that both life meaning and mindfulness are crucial in promoting the psychological well-being of career women. The study offers valuable insights into the factors contributing to flourishing in this population and may serve as a foundation for interventions aimed at enhancing their well-being.

Abstract

This study aims to identify differences in organizational interests between Psychology and Communication Science students at Universitas 'Aisyiyah Yogyakarta. With a quantitative approach and comparative design, data were obtained through a questionnaire involving 184 students from both study programs. The results of the analysis using the Mann-Whitney test showed that Communication Science students had a higher interest in organizing than Psychology students. This difference is thought to be influenced by internal and external factors, such as the need to expand social networks and develop communication skills in Communication Science students. These findings are expected to be a reference for institutions in designing more appropriate organizational development programs for students from various study programs, according to their respective needs and interests.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze the reasons behind the rejection of claims at PT Asuransi General Bumiputra Muda Medan Branch. The analytical method used is a qualitative descriptive technique that uses interviews to collect data on ten informants who work at PT Asuransi General Bumiputra Muda Medan Branch. Based on research findings, the causes of lost claims at PT Asuransi Jenderal Bumiputra Muda Medan Branch include incomplete documentation, inaccurate information in insurance claims, police investigations, delays in processing claims, and handling errors. The implications of this research include that PT Asuransi General Bumiputra Muda Medan Branch must improve communication with customers regarding the insurance claims process and strengthen internal processes to prevent fraud.

Abstract

The aim of the activity is to socialize the dangers of drug abuse among teenagers, especially in Kemukus Village, South Lampung Regency, so that teenagers can understand the impacts of drug abuse, both physically and psychologically. Socialization activities use participatory methods, lectures and discussions. The socialization activity was carried out on August 10 2024 with the number of participants taking part in the socialization activity consisting of around 20 people and 1 Village Secretary located at the Kemukus Village Hall. For this reason, through socialization activities on the dangers of drug abuse, it is possible to increase the understanding of teenagers in Kemukus Village regarding the types of narcotics, the impact and abuse of drugs from physical, psychological, educational aspects as well as ways to prevent and control drugs among teenagers. For this reason, this socialization activity can protect the younger generation as the nation's next generation, especially teenagers from Kemukus village, from the dangers of drug abuse.

Abstract

With the issuance of Law No. 6/2014 on Villages, the position of the village government has become stronger, because it is no longer regulated in Law No. 23/2014 on Regional Government, but is regulated by a separate law. In addition to strengthening the status of the village as a community government, the Village Law also makes the village the basis for advancing the community and empowering the village community. Villages have the right to autonomy. As a logical consequence of having autonomy, it must have its own finances. Article 93 of Government Regulation No. 43/2014 on the Implementation of Law No. 6/2014 on Villages states that village finances include planning, implementation, administration, reporting, and accountability. Article 101 of Government Regulation No. 43/2014 on the Implementation of Law No. 6/2014 on Villages mentions the mechanism for preparing the Village Budget. The research method used in this research is a normative juridical approach. The results showed that the mechanism for preparing the Village Budget of Central Lampung Regency as the implementation of Article 101 of Government Regulation Number 43 of 2014 concerning the Implementation Regulations of Law Number 6 of 2014 concerning Villages has been implemented based on Article 20 of the Regulation of the Regent of Central Lampung Regency Number 14 of 2015 concerning Village Financial Management in Central Lampung Regency through 3 (three) stages, namely the preparation, evaluation and determination stages. Supporting factors in the preparation of the Revenue and Expenditure Budget are the existence of assistants in the preparation of the Revenue and Expenditure Budget from the District and Regency, the government facilitates with the training of Village Heads and Village Apparatus every 3 (three) months at the provincial level and at the district level, and inhibiting factors in the preparation of the Village Revenue and Expenditure Budget, namely because Law Number 6 of 2014 and its implementing regulations are still new so that the community is not used to it and results in difficulty socializing with the community in village meetings.

Abstract

Marriage culture in Indonesia really reflects its diverse society, and the rules within it cannot be separated from the influence of religion, belief and knowledge of society. Registration of marriages of citizens of different religions has actually received recognition through Law Number 23 of 2006 in conjunction with Law Number 24 of 2013 concerning Population Administration. However, several judges have different interpretations regarding the Population Administration Law. This gives rise to disparities in judges' decisions in adjudicating cases of validating marriages between different religions. The Supreme Court issued SEMA Number 20 of 2023 as a guide for judges in adjudicating applications for registering marriages between people of different religions. So the author wants to see SEMA No. 3 of 2023 concerning Instructions for Judges in Adjudicating Applications for Registration of Marriages Between People of Different Religions and Beliefs from a positive legal perspective. This type of research is library research, there are also sources of information used, namely secondary information. The nature of this research is normative juridical. The results of this research are SEMA Number 20 of 2023 concerning Guidelines for Judges in Adjudicating Cases of Requests for Registration of Marriages Between People of Different Religions and Beliefs and are in line with the laws and regulations in Indonesia which are the reference for judges in determining the validity of a Marriage, including the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia, Law -Marriage Law, Constitutional Court decision Number 68/PUU-XII/2014 and Number 24/PUU-XII/2022 as well as the religious values believed in by the Indonesian people.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the shopping compliance test procedures at ABC University implemented by the Kanaka Puradiredja Public Accounting Office, Suhartono Surabaya Branch. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a case study approach and the technical data analysis used is descriptive analysis which is used to describe the shopping compliance test procedures implemented by KAP Kanaka. The shopping compliance audit procedure at ABC University is carried out by asking clients for data, then doing sampling, asking clients for data, vouching, and confirming if things are found that are not clear. The test results relating to the expenditure compliance test carried out by KAP Kanaka show that ABC University has fulfilled material matters, both internal control compliance and compliance with legislation. In terms of value and transactions, there were no differences in recording, so it can be ensured that transactions have been presented accurately.

Abstract

Mendel's laws of inheritance are the rules regarding the inheritance of characteristics in living things. Currently eye doctors use the Ishihara Test book which contains dots of different colors and sizes to check whether a person suffers from color blindness or not. The blood group system is a method of grouping blood that depends on the antigens in the blood. The division of blood groups generally consists of four types, namely A, B, O, and AB. Thalassemia is a condition of decreased hemoglobin (Hb) synthesis, especially in the globin chain. Hemophilia is a rare genetic disease with a shortened life expectancy.

Abstract

This research aims to find out how the company PT XYZ in optimizing the tax burden to reduce risks and avoid tax sanctions by using the Gross-Up method. This method makes the company pay employee taxes, but the employee's net salary remains the same. The research method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method, namely by studying one case of a company in KKP/KJA Enny Consulting in 2023. The data is analyzed to determine company and employee tax savings after using the Gross-Up method. The results show that this method can save employees taxes and increase their satisfaction. Companies can also manage tax burdens better and according to regulations. This research concludes that the Gross-Up method can be a solution for other companies who want to save PPh 21 taxes for employees and companies.

Abstract

This study aims to understand the efforts of the Village Government in increasing community participation in the implementation of the Marsiadapari tradition in Manalu Village, Parmonangan District, North Tapanuli Regency. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative research. The subjects in the study amounted to 4 people. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis techniques included data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The research results show that the Village Government has made various preventive efforts, such as socialization and counseling through village meetings and involving community leaders. One of the main approaches taken is collaboration with traditional leaders, who have an in-depth understanding of the procedures and meanings of the Marsiadapari tradition. These preservative efforts are important to maintain the authenticity and continuity of the Marsiadapari tradition. Additionally, curative efforts have also been made by providing superior seeds, free fertilizers, and agricultural equipment that can be borrowed by the community and organizing cultural events such as Marsiadapari tor-tor performances. The Village Government also undertakes adaptive efforts by encouraging the use of environmentally friendly agricultural technology and developing alternative activities that are in line with the social and economic conditions of the community, so that the Marsiadapari tradition remains relevant in the modern era.
