Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a vital role in economic growth, particularly in developing countries, contributing significantly to GDP and employment. In a competitive market, marketing strategies such as promotion, brand image, competitive pricing, and product innovation are crucial factors influencing consumer purchasing decisions. Signal Coffee Depok can enhance its market competitiveness by leveraging digital marketing, word-of-mouth, and attractive promotional strategies to boost consumer purchase interest. This study employs a quantitative research method with an associative approach to examine the causal relationships between promotion, purchase interest, and purchasing decisions using path analysis with SmartPLS. Data were collected through validated and reliable questionnaires, and the Sobel test was conducted to assess the mediating effect of purchase interest. The results indicate strong correlations between promotion (X) and purchase interest (Y) (r = 0.777), as well as between promotion (X) and purchasing decisions (Z) (r = 0.745), while the relationship between purchase interest (Y) and purchasing decisions (Z) is very strong (r = 0.825). Path analysis reveals that promotion directly influences purchase interest (77.7%) and purchasing decisions (26.3%), while purchase interest affects purchasing decisions by 62.1%. The indirect effect of promotion on purchasing decisions through purchase interest is 16.3%, bringing the total effect to 42.6%. The T-test and F-test confirm the significance of the relationships between variables, but the mediating effect of purchase interest in the relationship between promotion and purchasing decisions is not statistically significant. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) usage and managerial support on work productivity, with employee performance as a mediating variable, focusing on administrative staff at Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta. A descriptive quantitative approach was employed, using purposive sampling of 100 respondents from a population of 300 employees. Data were collected via questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression and the Sobel test to assess mediation effects. The results indicate that AI usage has a positive and significant effect on work productivity but is not significant in improving employee performance. In contrast, managerial support has a significant effect on both productivity and performance. However, employee performance does not significantly mediate the relationship between AI usage and managerial support on productivity. The study concludes that managerial support plays a crucial role in enhancing both productivity and performance, while AI contributes more directly to work efficiency. These findings offer valuable implications for HR policy development and the implementation of technology in the workplace.

Abstract

Small, Micro, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are a strategic sector in developing the economy. In addition, MSMEs are also a place for people to create jobs so that they can reduce poverty. This study aims to analyze the role of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in increasing Regional Original Income (PAD), with a case study of the trade and services sector around Semarang State University (UNNES) in 2025 and the importance of policy support and continuous mentoring for MSMEs so that economic potential can be increased in increasing PAD. The research method used in this study is a qualitative approach and uses data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results show that MSMEs around UNNES have a significant influence on PAD through payment of levies, local taxes, and job creation. In addition, the relationship between the local government, the university, and MSME actors is also a very important factor in driving the economic growth of the region.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Locus of Control, Self-Efficacy, and Work Environment on Employee Performance at Bank Sumut Syariah KCP Karya. The background of this research is based on the phenomenon of declining employee performance in several branches, including KCP Karya, which is suspected to be influenced by psychological factors and workplace conditions. The study employed a quantitative approach using a survey method, distributing questionnaires to all employees (22 respondents), and analyzing the data with SPSS. The results show that, partially, all three independent variables—locus of control (p = 0.003), self-efficacy (p = 0.000), and work environment (p = 0.041)—have a significant effect on employee performance. Simultaneously, the three variables also significantly influence employee performance with a significance value of 0.000 (< 0.05) and an Adjusted R² of 81.9%, indicating a strong contribution of these variables to performance outcomes. The study concludes that improving internal locus of control, enhancing self-efficacy, and creating a conducive work environment significantly contribute to better employee performance. These findings have important implications for management in designing performance improvement strategies through psychological empowerment and workplace improvements. Abstract

Carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions are one of the main causes of climate change in the world. This study aims to analyze the impact of urbanization on carbon emissions within the framework of sustainable development, taking into account mediating variables such as gross domestic product (GDP) per capita, fossil energy consumption, renewable energy consumption, and forest cover area. The method used is a quantitative approach employing Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) using WarpPLS 8.0. Data sources include Our World in Data and the World Bank, covering the period from 1990 to 2022. The results show that urbanization has a significant positive impact on GDP per capita and fossil fuel consumption with coefficients of 0.99 and 0.98. Urbanization also has a significant negative impact on renewable energy consumption and forest cover area with coefficients of -0.99 and -0.99. GDP per capita and fossil fuel consumption have a significant positive impact on carbon emissions, with coefficients of 0.33 and 0.47. Renewable energy consumption and forest cover area each show a significant negative impact on carbon emissions, with coefficients of -0.38 and -0.41. However, the direct relationship between urbanization and carbon emissions shows a non-significant positive effect with a coefficient of 0.24. These findings conclude that urbanization in Indonesia contributes to an increase in carbon emissions indirectly through mediating variables, while its direct relationship with emissions is not significant.

Abstract

The growth of the tourism sector in Indonesia depends not only on promotional efforts but also on the quality of infrastructure, destination accessibility, and supporting facilities. This study aims to analyze the indirect effect of Tourism Public Expenditure on tourist arrivals through the mediating roles of infrastructure, accessibility, and hotel room occupancy. Secondary data were collected from the Central Statistics Agency and the Ministry of Tourism for the Java and Bali regions over the 2015–2023 period. The analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling with WarpPLS software. The results indicate that government spending positively influences infrastructure development and improvements in accessibility. In turn, infrastructure and accessibility significantly affect hotel room occupancy, which ultimately has a substantial impact on tourist arrivals. The influence of Tourism Public Expenditure on tourist arrivals is therefore indirect, mediated through these pathways. These findings highlight the importance of effective government spending in laying the foundation for sustainable tourism growth. Abstract

The development of digital banking has presented new challenges in customer protection, especially related to malfunctions in mobile banking applications that have the potential to harm customers. The phenomenon of BSI Mobile system disruptions throughout 2023-2024 shows the urgency of an in-depth study of the liability protection mechanism in accordance with sharia principles. This study aims to analyze the implementation of BSI Mobile customer liability protection from the perspective of Imam Abu Hanifah's thinking. The results of the study indicate that BSI must provide protection for customer identities and contribute to the development of a digital banking customer protection model that is in line with sharia principles. Data were obtained through a documentation study of OJK consumer complaint reports, official BSI documents, and Imam Hanafi's classic literature. The analysis was carried out using the content analysis and comparative analysis methods with three stages: examining the BSI liability protection mechanism, analyzing Imam Abu Hanifah's dhaman concept, and identifying factors for the effectiveness of customer protection. This study uses a normative juridical type taken from library materials and reliable sources related to the research.

Abstract

This research analyzes the optimisation of Dui Menre’ in the economic utilisation of families, analysed from the perspective of Maqasid Al-Syari’ah, focusing on the Bugis community in Bone Regency. The research aims to ascertain the impact of dui Menre’ on the economic welfare of families post-marriage, how the Bugis community optimises dui Menre’, and what strategies can be implemented in the management of dui Menre’ for family economic utilisation. Additionally, it examines how this can be integrated with the principles of Maqasid Al-Syari’ah. The methodology employed in this research is qualitative descriptive, with field research as its primary approach. Data collection techniques included interviews, questionnaires, observations, and documentation. The findings indicate that dui Menre’ within the Bugis community in Bone Regency has yet to be utilised optimally. The funds allocated for dui Menre’ are primarily expended on wedding celebrations. The economic impact on families results in newly married couples lacking independence, progression, and financial prosperity post-marriage. These consequences contradict the principles of Maqasid Al-Syari’ah, which can threaten the preservation of hifz al-din (protection of religion), hifz al-nafs (protection of life), hifz al-‘aql (protection of intellect), hifz al-nasl (protection of lineage), and hifz al-mal (protection of wealth). Strategies to optimise dui Menre’ include avoiding the excessive expenditure on lavish celebrations by simplifying the concept of the wedding. Furthermore, setting aside a portion of dui Menre’ for savings and investments can support the household needs of newlyweds post-marriage.

Abstract

The digital transformation in payment systems has encouraged micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to adapt to technology, one of which is through the implementation of QRIS (Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard). This study aims to analyze the perceptions of MSME actors and consumers regarding the ease and benefits of using QRIS, identify the obstacles in its implementation, and evaluate its contribution to business efficiency and the independence of the national financial system. This research employed a descriptive qualitative method by conducting interviews with five informants, consisting of three MSME owners and two university students in Kelurahan Durian, Tebing Tinggi City. The results show that QRIS is perceived as a practical, fast, and secure payment method. Its use facilitates financial record-keeping for business owners and increases customer trust. The obstacles encountered are mostly technical, such as network issues and device limitations, but do not reduce users’ interest. Furthermore, QRIS contributes to maintaining domestic cash flow and reducing dependence on foreign payment systems, thus supporting national economic sovereignty. Overall, QRIS has proven effective as an inclusive digital payment solution for both MSMEs and consumers.
