Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of Message Content, Communicator, Effect of watching Tasya Farasya's beauty vlogger show on FOMO behavior in purchasing Luxcrime brand beauty products on communication science students at Singaperbangsa University, Karawang, class of 2020. The theory used is SOR (Stimulus-Organism-Response) by Houland. The method used is quantitative with nonprobability sampling samples with saturated sampling techniques. The number of respondents used in this study was 101 respondents. The analysis used includes descriptive analysis, normality test, simple linear regression test, coefficient of determination, and t-hypothesis test. The results showed that Tasya Farasya's beauty vlogger show in YouTube videos had a positive influence of 16.9% on FOMO behavior in purchasing Luxcrime brand beauty products, while the remaining 83.1% was influenced by other factors.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the duration and frequency of using Instagram social media influence the formation of self-image of communication science students at Singaperbangsa University, Karawang. The theory used is uses and effects by Sven Windahl. The method used is quantitative with probability sampling samples with simple random sampling techniques. The number of respondents used in this study was 187 respondents. The analysis used includes descriptive analysis, normality test, simple linear regression test, coefficient of determination, and t-hypothesis test. The results showed that the use of Instagram social media has a positive influence of 53.3% on the formation of self-image of communication science students at Singaperbangsa University, Karawang, while the remaining 46.5% is influenced by other factors.

Abstract

Uric acid is a normal thing that everyone has in the body. Because uric acid is a natural metabolic excretion from the body that comes from the breakdown of purines. One of the causes of gout is an unhealthy diet. The elderly are the age most susceptible to gout. A person can be said to be elderly (elderly) if he is 65 years or older. This research used total sampling research methods and stick or POCT method sampling in the Paku Haji village community aged 40 - 60 years, totaling 30 samples which were carried out on July 10 - July 11 2024, with results differentiated based on age and gender. Uric acid levels aged 40 – 60 years were found to be normal in 21 people (70%) and high in 9 people (30%). Uric acid levels based on gender were found to be normal in 18 people (60%) and high in 12 people (40%).

Abstract

Medical records are defined as written information that is accurately recorded about patient identity, patient complaints, disease and laboratory examinations, diagnosis, and treatment given to patients. An electronic system is used for medical records employees. The relationship between social conditions and facilities is very close and influences each other. The facilities available in a society play an important role in determining social conditions. The quantitative method of distributing questionnaires was used in this research. From distributing the questionnaires, 32 respondents obtained positive relationship results between Social Conditions and Facilities on the Use of Electronic Medical Records at Hospital X.

Abstract

Criticism and freedom of speech that builds important information for society can now take a visual form such as mural art. One of the famous mural artists who dares to convey information by using meaning signs and messages such as criticism in his mural artwork is Banksy. One of his famous murals raises the issue of natural destruction. This research uses Charles Sanders Peirce's Semiotics Theory which is famous for its triadic model analysis, namely the representamen, object, and interpretant. And using data collection techniques in the form of observation and interviews. The result of the research shows that the meaning and message contained in Banksy's mural contains information from colors, images, and shapes in detail about how he can convey messages about criticism of the government and people who do not care about environmental sustainability. And also so that people can pay more attention to environmental sustainability so that there is no damage to nature due to human actions themselves.

Abstract

His research uses qualitative research methods to determine the potential of Curug Cinulang as a sustainable tourist destination in Bandung Regency. By using the triple bottom line concept which includes economic, environmental and social aspects, this research examines how tourism management at Curug Cinulang can provide balanced benefits for the surrounding community, the natural environment and the local economy. Data was obtained through in-depth interviews with various stakeholders, field observations, and document analysis. The results of the research show that management involving the active participation of local communities not only improves economic welfare through the creation of jobs and business opportunities, but also encourages the preservation of the natural environment around water. plunge. In addition, community involvement in tourism management creates a sense of shared ownership and responsibility, thereby strengthening social cohesion. These results show that Curug Cinulanghas great potential to develop sustainable tourism that provides long-term benefits for all stakeholders..

Abstract

Sumedang has been named a Tourism Regency by the Regent of Sumedang since 2019, but there are still many people who do not know about it. The purpose of this research is to find out how the strategy is applied in an effort to realize Sumedang as a Tourism Regency, what are the external and internal factors that influence it and how understanding is applied to the community regarding efforts to realize Sumedang as a Tourism Regency. This research uses a case study design involving several communities and the government, namely the Sumedang Regency Tourism, Culture, Youth and Sports Office. Data collection was conducted using semi-structured interviews with 14  participants. Data analysis to identify, create themes and evaluate inductively and thematically was carried out with the help of NVivo 12. Validation of instruments and data was carried out through triangulation and expert review techniques.  This research resulted in five findings: Disparbudpora strategy, the role of the media, Sumedang tourist destinations, challenges, and public understanding. The study concluded that the Strategy of the Department of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Sports focuses on a long-term plan that aims to optimize the achievement of all relevant objectives. This strategy includes monitoring and evaluating all activities related to tourism in the Sumedang Regency area, ensuring the development of infrastructure to support the development of tourism.

Abstract

The design of the e-ticket system on the Museum Prabu Geusan Ulun website aims to provide users with ease in making digital ticket reservations, with payments made through e-wallets and mobile banking. This system is designed as an innovative feature for reservations to enhance user convenience and comfort. The UI/UX design of the e-ticket system on the Museum Prabu Geusan Ulun website utilizes the design thinking method to create more efficient reservation features using digital payment options. Design Thinking is a method for understanding the needs and challenges faced by users. The objective of this study is to design the UI/UX of the e-ticket system on the Museum Prabu Geusan Ulun website using the Design Thinking method and to conduct usability testing with the Single Ease Question (SEQ) and System Usability Scale (SUS). This research employs a mixed-methods design, combining user interviews for qualitative insights and usability testing as a quantitative approach. The results of the Usability Testing in this study show that the prototype designed is fit for use, with a score of 85.5, which falls into category B or Excellent. This research can serve as a reference for further development and can provide more efficient solutions for users.

Abstract

Tourism development should not only be aimed at providing benefits for tourism managers and tourists, but also must have a positive impact on the people who live around it. Therefore, tourism managers need to consider economic sustainability for the surrounding community as well. This study aims to analyze the relationship between the influence of Situ Gunung tourism development on the economy of the Kadudampit Community. The method used in this research is quantitative method with linear regression analysis technique. The population in this study is the Situ Gunung tourism manager and the Kadudampit  community. The results of the analysis show that the Situ Gunung Tourism Development variable (X) has an effect and is significant to the Situ Gunung Community Economy (Y), with a large influence of 51.6%.

Abstract

Tradition plays an important role in shaping cultural identity and social cohesion. Defined as the transmission of customs, beliefs, and practices from one generation to the next, tradition provides a sense of continuity and stability amidst the rapid changes of modern life. This encompasses various aspects of human experience, including rituals, celebrations, folklore, and social norms. Through tradition, communities preserve their historical narratives, moral values, and collective memories, creating a sense of belonging and shared purpose. The deepening of the Muharaman tradition in the Karangpakuan Tourism Village using the Exploration method is an effort to introduce and analyze the potential for developing the Muharaman tradition so that it can be recognized and preserved. Exploratory research methods are studies aimed at exploration, deepening knowledge, seeking new ideas, and formulating problems in more detail to then decide whether new research is necessary. The purpose of this research is to delve deeper into the Muharaman tradition and its potential as a tourist attraction using exploratory methods. This research uses a qualitative design with interviews as the main data collection method. The results of the data collection indicate that the Hajat Bakti Muharaman tradition is a tradition that emphasizes togetherness and social connections. The uniqueness of this tradition creates a great opportunity for it to be developed as a tourist attraction. However, the community's reluctance towards this tradition has somewhat hindered its development. Educational and promotional efforts are the initial steps that must be taken in developing this tradition as a tourist attraction.
