Abstract

Pondok Pesantren Al-Istiqomah Cukir, Diwek, Jombang memiliki kebijakan memperbolehkan santri menggunakan gadget atau media sosial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh media sosial terhadap perilaku santri, menjelaskan mengenai apa saja pengaruh media sosial bagi santri di masa perkembangannya kemudian untuk mengetahui apa saja pengaruh terhadap perilaku santri yang disebabkan oleh media sosial saat ini. Penelitian ini menganalisis mengenai perubahan perilaku santri yang menggunakan media sosial dan pengaruh penggunaan media sosial bagi santri mahasiswa Pondok Pesantren Al-Istiqomah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Dari hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ada perubahan perilaku pada santri Pondok Pesantren Al-Istiqomah yang menggunakan media sosial. Perubahan yang terjadi dapat dilihat dari tata krama/etika, kecanduan media, dan kurang interaksi dengan santri lingkungan sekitarnya. Penggunaan media sosial memberikan dampak positif dan negatif bagi santri. Dampak positifnya antara lain memberikan wawasan yang luas kepada santri, untuk menambah relasi dan informasi. Sedangkan, dampak buruk penggunaan media sosial bagi santri yaitu mengurangi minat belajar, malas mengikuti kegiatan dan penyalahgunaan media sosial untuk hal-hal yang merugikan.

Abstract

This article describes the important role of da'wah in technological developments in the millennial era. Bang Kevin is a Tiktok account that is in the da'wah category, this can be concluded because there are many videos containing da'wah messages packaged in millennial and interesting language, so that most other Tiktok users can understand and accept them, namely young people to adults. This study aims to find out how Kevin Kausar's universal da'wah strategies and techniques are in Bang Kevin's TikTok account. This study uses a qualitative approach while the method used by researchers is descriptive analysis "Bang Kevin's Universal Da'wah Communication Strategy Through TikTok Media". In this study, descriptive analysis is very relevant for understanding and describing the da'wah communication strategies and techniques used by Kevin Kaustar through the Bang Kevin TikTok account. The results of the study show that the communication strategy carried out by Kevin Kautsar is by using a mass communication strategy in which Kevin Kautsar uses social media in conveying da'wah messages. The mass communication strategy is carried out using the application of interpersonal communication strategy theory which is more inclined towards the importance of understanding and positioning oneself with the audience as explained by Kevin Kautsar about the importance of understanding the facts and problems experienced by society so that they can find and convey solutions. Thus it can attract the attention of netizens which is the main goal in conveying da'wah messages. After the attention of the public or netizens can be achieved, communication rules are implemented which convey da'wah messages with good and appropriate techniques such as Qaulan Sadidan, namely using correct and good speech, using the Qaulan Baligha rules, conveying communication messages precisely and straightforwardly according to the context conveyed and Qaulan Layina which means gentle talk. Researchers argue that preaching strategies need to be studied so that they can be accepted by the wider community from all walks of life.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mendeskripsikan pola komunikasi pengasuh dalam membina kedisiplinan serta faktor pendukung dan penghambatnya di PP Tahfidhil Qur’an Al-Ma’arij Jombang. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian lapangan deskriptif kualitatif yang mengumpulkan data dengan teknik observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasilnya terdapat dua pola komunikasi yang dilakukan oleh pengasuh yaitu antar pribadi dan kelompok. Yang menjadi faktor pendukung dalam membina kedisiplinan yaitu perancangan pesan dan penyampaian dengan sedemikian rupa, pesan yang disampaikan dapat dimengerti dan dipahami. Dengan adanya pesan yang disampaikan maka akan membangkitkan kebutuhan kedua belah pihak dan memberikan saran yang sesuai kebutuhan. Adapun yang menjadi penghambat yaitu faktor gangguan dari lingkungan, adanya perbedaan kepentingan antara pengasuh dan santri, dan motivasi yang terpendam.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal an overview of the proselytizing strategy carried out by the Ansor Kediri Kota youth organization in delivering proselytizing, especially in proselytizing media that transforms by sosial media. One of the implementations of the use of sosial media is as a proselytizing media through digitization impressions, both in the form of photos, videos and entertaining content as well as having the content of proselytizing messages. The research method used is qualitative research with a phenomenological approach. The results of this study show that the optimization of proselytizing through sosial media using the Instagram and Youtube platforms can be well received by young people, especially millennial people. The supporting faktors in the Ansor Youth organization in carrying out this program are the administrators who have indeed as a speech by the depth of basic religious knowledge of islamic boarding schools, the high number of followers owned by some administrators and the determination of contemporary themes. The field challenges currently faced are related to decrease time management or schedules and limited facilities owned. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan bagaimana Yayasan Air Kita memberdayakan masyarakat Winong Timur, Mojoagung, Jombang melalui pemanfaatan air hujan, serta strategi dakwah Yayasan Air Kita melalui pemanfaatan air hujan untuk pemberdayaan masyarakat di daerah tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis deskriptif. Metode ini bertujuan untuk memahami fenomena yang sedang terjadi oleh subjek penelitian. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dalam tiga tahap, yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Teori Behaviorisme dan teori Dakwah Pemberdayaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan masyarakat dalam berbagai aspek, seperti ekonomi, pendidikan, sosial, spiritual, kesehatan, dan perubahan perilaku baik secara langsung maupun tidak langsung. Efek atau respons yang didapat Yayasan dari masyarakat berupa respons positif dan negatif. Respons positifnya antara lain masyarakat mau ikut andil dalam kegiatan di Yayasan Air Kita. Sedangkan respons negatifnya berupa masyarakat meragukan Yayasan Air Kita atau merendahkan Yayasan Air Kita.

Abstract

In every online media platform, there exists a diverse range of ideologies and perspectives that influence the production of news content. Republika Online adheres to its own distinct ideology in the dissemination of information to the publik. Ideology can be discerned by analyzing the textual structure and discourse employed by each media platform. In the year 2022, a significant number of acts of violence occurred within the realm of education. Among these incidents was a case of violence against students at Gontor Islamic Boarding School, located in Ponorogo, East Java. Acts of violence can have adverse effects on both physical and mental health. In the case of the violence that occurred at Gontor Islamic Boarding School, it tragically resulted in the fatality of one of the students, highlighting the severe consequences of such incidents. This thesis focuses on two research questions: Firstly, how does Republika Online, as an online media platform, employ textual structure in presenting news regarding the violence against students at Gontor Islamic Boarding School, specifically in the edition from 06 to 08 September 2022. Furthermore, this study aims to investigate the discourse employed by Republika Online, an online media platform, in presenting news regarding the violence against students at Gontor Islamic Boarding School in the edition from 06 to 08 September 2022. In order to address these two issues, the researcher employed a qualitative (non-participant) approach. In this research, the researcher utilized Teun A. Van Dijk's discourse analysis method to analyze the "Violence against students at Gontor Islamic Boarding School, edition from 06 to 08 September 2022." In this study, it can be concluded that the textual structure utilized by Republika Online exhibits a tendency to explicitly marginalize the perpetrators and Gontor Islamic Boarding School.

Abstract

Da’wa, in general, is an activity of inviting or exhorting towards good deeds and abstaining from bad deeds, through preaching delivered by a religious teacher (kyai) during the study of the book Al-Kaba'ir. This direct preaching enhances the knowledge, understanding, and awareness of the students (santri) of Pondok Pesantren Nurul Ilmi Wal Fikri Tebuireng Jombang regarding the dangers of major sins, thereby encouraging their attitudes and behaviors to avoid committing major sins and developing a sense of consciousness within themselves. The aim of this research is to determine the correlation between the kyai's preaching in the study of the book Al-Kaba'ir and the level of consciousness among the students regarding the dangers of major sins at Nurul Ilmi Wal Fikri Tebuireng Jombang Islamic boarding school. This study employs a quantitative method, specifically correlational research. It can be concluded from this research that there is a significant, strong, and positive correlation between the kyai's preaching in the study of the book Al-Kaba'ir and the level of consciousness among the students regarding the dangers of major sins. This is evidenced by the assessments of the respondents (students of Pondok Pesantren Nurul Ilmi Wal Fikri Tebuireng Jombang). It is also supported by the results of the Spearman rank correlation test, which yielded a Sig value of 0.000 < 0.05. Therefore, the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted, and the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected, indicating that there is a correlation (relationship) between the kyai's preaching in the study of the book Al-Kaba'ir and the level of consciousness among the students regarding the dangers of major sins. The obtained correlation coefficient is 0.697.

Abstract

This study focuses on two issues: firstly, how Kompas.com conducts the framing of news regarding the case of three female Islamic boarding school students' molestation in Kasemen District, Serang City, Banten, on December 12, 2022, and secondly, the comparison of news framing regarding the same molestation case between Kompas.com and TribunBanten.com on December 12, 2022. To address these two issues, the researcher utilizes a qualitative approach. The method employed by the researcher is the framing analysis method developed by Robert N. Entman in the study entitled “Framing the Issue of Female Islamic Boarding School Students' Molestation in the Online Media of Kompas.com and TribunBanten.com on December 12, 2022. The findings of this study lead to the conclusion that Kompas.com and TribunBanten.com exhibit distinct textual structures. Particularly on Kompas.com, there is a discernible tendency to side with the victims and firmly incriminate the perpetrators. On the other hand, the textual structure of news regarding the issue of Female Islamic Boarding School Students' Molestation on TribunBanten.com demonstrates a lack of clarity in delineating the chronology of events. Moreover, the discourse accentuates the notion that the conduct undertaken by the perpetrators is inherently unacceptable and should not have transpired.

Abstract

The study aims to understand Ustadz Toni Yufida's communication style in delivering Islamic preaching messages during religious gatherings in the village of Delima Jaya, Kerinci Kanan District, Siak Regency, Riau Province. It investigates the impact of Ustadz Toni Yufida's preaching messages on the attendees of the religious gatherings in Delima Jaya Village. This writing is a descriptive and qualitative field study that gathers data through interview techniques, observation, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that Ustadz Toni Yufida's communication style is characterized by direct and assertive communication, without indications of passive, aggressive, or passive-aggressive communication. The impact of his preaching messages is seen in the community's ability to draw valuable lessons from them, which can be applied in their daily lives. These lessons encompass knowledge about beliefs (aqidah), monotheism (tauhid), and Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh), providing a deeper understanding of genuine life principles.

Abstract

This research aims to uncover the meaning of the sign of self-confidence in the animated film Encanto using the semiotic approach of Roland Barthes and the theory of meaning by Wendell Johnson. The two main issues addressed are the meaning of self-confidence signs in the film and the construction of that meaning. Through a qualitative approach, an analysis is conducted on ten scenes in the film "Encanto" that contain the meaning of self-confidence. The results of the study indicate that the process of self-confidence meaning aligns with Wendell Johnson's theory, which depicts that meaning exists within oneself, changes, requires reference, is susceptible to abbreviation, is limitless, and is communicated partially. This study provides insights into how animated films can convey and build the meaning of self-confidence to their audience.
