Abstract

Dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) is a condition in which the heart enlarges and cannot pump blood efficiently, characterized by dilation of the ventricles, especially the left ventricle. Dilated cardiomyopathy is most common in dogs, both large and small breeds. The purpose of this review is to determine the quality of life of dogs with dilated cardiomyopathy, what causes it, how to treat it properly and optimally, and efforts to prevent dilated cardiomyopathy. This study uses a bibliographic method. Extensive research for studies published before 2024 was conducted using two databases: PubMed and Google Scholar. Dilated cardiomyopathy can occur due to several causes such as genetic or hereditary factors, hypertension, injury, metabolic defects, infection, myocardial ischemia, and toxicity. These factors also affect the survival of dogs with DCM. Thus, preventive efforts to overcome DCM must be carried out. Such as maintaining nutrition, exercising regularly, maintaining body weight, and vaccination.

Abstract

Despite the establishment of democracy in South Africa, mob justice remains a pervasive and troubling issue. This study investigates the socio-economic and cultural factors that sustain this form of extrajudicial punishment, tracing its origins to historical injustices and contemporary dissatisfaction with the formal justice system. Through qualitative analysis of case studies and interviews, the research reveals that communities, often feeling neglected and insecure, resort to mob justice as a means of immediate retribution and deterrence. The findings highlight the urgent need for comprehensive reforms in law enforcement, community engagement, and social services to address the underlying causes of mob justice and restore confidence in the democratic legal framework. This paper advocates for a multi-faceted approach to eradicate this practice, emphasizing the importance of education, economic development, and robust legal protections to ensure justice and human rights for all citizens.

Abstract

The social reality of the city of Kananga clearly shows that the population's living conditions are not satisfactory. Almost all sectors of life are being destroyed to such an extent that the city has become landlocked. Contrary to this social reality, the city is full of rich natural resources without counting its significant financial and human resources. This article explores Political Actors and the Socio-Economic Development of the City of Kananga. The method used is a literature review, which includes analyzing and evaluating scientific articles and journals relevant to the research problem. This research explains the Thematic study of the Political Actors and the Socio-Economic Development of the City of Kananga. The results of this study show that the strategies proposed to political actors are not comprehensive given the uncertainty of our financial resources. We cannot expand our areas of intervention, in other words, even to enter the regions to see how political actors behave towards the rural world.

Abstract

Al-Jam’iyatul Washliyah is one of the Islamic organizations in Indonesia. The word Al-Jam’iyatul Washliyah comes from Arabic which means a gathering or association that connects. An Islamic group involved in community service, education, and da'wah (spiritual guidance), the Al-Wasliyah organization is the focus of this research. Qualitative methods, including in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation, make up the research strategy. The data was subjected to thematic analysis to reveal recurring themes regarding implementing Islamic leadership and management concepts. The results of the study show that Al-Wasliyah consistently applies Islamic values in its organizational activities, such as shura (deliberation), amanah (trust), justice, and management efficiency. Leadership in Al-Wasliyah is based on Islamic principles, including the characteristics of Siddiq (honest), tabligh (communicative), fathanah (intelligent), and amanah (trustworthy). Based on Islamic teachings, organizational leaders act as role models, motivators, and decision-makers. However, this study also found challenges, such as the lack of consistency in applying Islamic management principles at the branch level, limited competent human resources, and minimal use of technology to support organizational activities. The main supporting factors for organizational success include strong Islamic values, extensive networks, and the spirit of Islamic brotherhood. This study concludes that the application of Islamic management and leadership in Al-Wasliyah has a positive impact on organizational performance, although efforts are still needed to modernize and strengthen in several aspects. Recommendations include increasing leaders' capacity, strengthening organizational structures, and utilizing digital technology to support more effective organizational management.
