Abstract

This study aims to explore the application of Islamic management and leadership principles in the organization of the Indonesian Islamic Student Movement (PMII) in Padangsidimpuan City. Using a qualitative approach with a phenomenological design, this study aims to understand the experiences, views, and practices of PMII members and administrators in implementing Islamic values in managerial and leadership aspects. Data collection methods used include in-depth interviews, participatory observation, focus group discussions (FGD), and documentation studies. The subjects of the study were administrators, active members, and alumni of PMII who have direct experience in the organization. The results of the study indicate that Islamic management in PMII Padangsidimpuan City is strongly influenced by the values of amanah, justice, deliberation, and responsibility, which are applied in human resource management, task division, and decision-making. This study also found that the obstacles faced in implementing these principles include the lack of a uniform understanding of Islamic management and leadership among members and the challenge of maintaining the consistency of Islamic values in organizational dynamics. Nevertheless, the implementation of these principles has a positive impact on organizational performance and the development of member character, who are expected to be able to become leaders with integrity and commitment to Islamic values. This study contributes to the development of Islamic management and leadership theory, especially in the context of student organizations, and provides insight for similar organizations to implement Islamic principles more effectively in their activities and management.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of Islamic management and leadership in the Himpunan Mahasiswa Islam (HMI) organization in Padangsidimpuan, focusing on organizational culture, leadership style, and change management. The research employs a qualitative approach through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document study to collect data from the management, active members, and alumni. The findings show that HMI's organizational culture, based on Islamic values such as honesty, trustworthiness, consultation (musyawarah), and ukhuwah Islamiyah, plays a significant role in the formation of cadres with Islamic character. The consultation-based leadership style (syura) has proven effective in increasing member involvement and collective decision-making, although challenges such as apathy and differing viewpoints can slow down the process. Additionally, HMI's organizational management demonstrates good adaptability in facing changes through mechanisms such as monthly evaluation meetings and cadre training. This study concludes that the interaction between organizational culture, leadership style, and adaptive management is key to HMI's success in producing competent cadres who contribute to society.

Abstract

The Musthafawiyah Islamic Boarding School in North Sumatra stands as one of the oldest and largest pesantren, showcasing resilience through its adherence to Islamic values in management and leadership. This study aims to explore the management strategies and distinctive leadership models implemented at this pesantren, alongside their impact on shaping students' character. Using a qualitative approach and case study method, data were gathered through in-depth interviews, direct observations, and document analysis. The findings reveal a well-structured hierarchical management system with clearly defined responsibilities. Leadership at the pesantren is rooted in spiritual authority, emphasizing Islamic values such as justice, consultation, and exemplary behavior. This leadership model significantly contributes to the formation of students who are religious, self-reliant, and ethical. Nonetheless, challenges such as modernization, technological advancements, and global demands require innovative adaptations without compromising the pesantren's traditional essence. This research highlights the importance of integrating Islamic principles into pesantren management and leadership as a means of enhancing educational quality and navigating contemporary challenges. Recommendations include strengthening human resource capabilities, incorporating technology into teaching, and aligning the curriculum with global needs. These findings aim to inspire the development of Islamic education models in other pesantren and beyond.

Abstract

In this assignment, we addressed the usage of the dynamics of the market price function in 5 competitive products of the Nepalese market, which are handicrafts, tea and coffee, herbal products, honey, and agricultural products. The purpose of the study is to identify and analyze the market price dynamics of various products traded in the Nepalese market. This research method is entirely based on literature review. The following are the steps that will be taken: identification and search of literature, literature selection, literature analysis and synthesis, and conceptual framework. This article has applied differential equations to find the change in demand and supply due to price fluctuations. This research paper also demonstrates the speed at which the price adjusts towards its equilibrium value. The utilization of the market price dynamics function in the Nepalese market has a critical role. Market players, both producers, traders, and consumers, can use information about market price dynamics to make better decisions regarding production, trade, and consumption.

Abstract

Mycetoma, a chronic, gradually debilitating condition caused by fungi or bacteria, provides enormous challenges to agricultural communities, notably in West Bengal and Andhra Pradesh, India. This research investigates the socioeconomic and environmental effects of mycetoma on tobacco and tomato producers, where the disease is common due to overreliance on agrochemicals and poor soil management. Pilot studies in Cooch Behar have shown that climatic and soil conditions ideal for tobacco production may also lead to the spread of soil-borne infections, such as those that cause mycetoma. Current research indicates that creative biotechnology solutions—such as the production of genetically engineered crops, the use of biocontrol agents, and CRISPR-based gene editing—offer viable pathways for combating mycetoma. Furthermore, quick diagnostic methods and future vaccine development are crucial for early detection and prevention, which reduces farmers’ long-term socioeconomic burden. The significance of combining sustainable farming practices with these biotechnological developments cannot be emphasized, since they not only lower disease incidence but also encourage environmental preservation. Future research should focus on using genomic technology to better understand pathogen interactions in soil and developing immune-based treatments. This multidisciplinary approach will be critical in mitigating mycetoma’s impact, improving impacted farmers’ livelihoods, and promoting sustainable agriculture.

Abstract

The circular bioeconomy depends on anaerobic digestion technology to obtain energy from waste materials while minimizing ecological contamination. The research looks at how well single-stage and multi-stage anaerobic digestion systems work, comparing their advantages and disadvantages by examining design elements, stability conditions, and the amount of biogas produced from different types of feedstock. A comparison study evaluated the benefits together with restrictive factors and real-world uses of single-stage and multi-stage anaerobic digestion systems. The examination used microbial stability as well as biogas production rates, cost-effectiveness, and compatibility with various feedstocks to determine the various factors. Single-stage anaerobic digestion systems produced cost-effective operation along with simple management, which benefits small-scale facilities operating on uniform organic waste. Their microbial stability was restricted, which eventually led to diminished biogas production output. Multi-stage anaerobic digestion systems are more expensive to set up and keep running, but they allow for better control of the process and produce more biogas when dealing with a mix of agricultural waste and regular trash. System design stands as a fundamental element that determines the results of anaerobic digestion processes. The selection between single-stage or multi-stage systems depends on whether waste streams are simple and uniform or complex. Future development of anaerobic digestion technology requires concentration on lowering operating expenses along with the implementation of time-sensitive monitoring equipment and integration with clean energy facilities. The development of these steps represents fundamental requirements for establishing the sustainable scalability of anaerobic digestion systems as the primary waste management technology.
