Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the financial development index on international trade in D-8 countries and examine whether foreign exchange reserves as a moderation variable are able to moderate the relationship between financial development and international trade in D-8 countries. This study included quantitative research with secondary data types sourced from the world bank and international monetary fund in the observation period from 2011 to 2020. The population in this study is a member of the Developing Eight Countries, with a sampling technique using purposive sampling. This research method uses panel data regression (ordinary least square) and moderated regression analysis (MRA) interaction test through the Eviews 10 program. The results showed that if there is a positive and significant influence between financial development and international trade, similar results are also found in foreign exchange reserves, which are used as moderation variables that significantly affect international trade. Meanwhile, the variable interaction of financial development and foreign exchange reserves has a negative influence on international trade in D-8 countries

Abstract

ABSTRACT Integrating technology in the digital 5.0 society, including artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and financial services, is creating a new business model: digital finance (FinTech). Indonesia's focus on economic logistics systems, FinTech development, and economic integration has positively impacted the real economy. However, digital financial innovation also brings risks, such as market uncertainty. After the pandemic, digital financial inclusion empowers women to reduce the gender gap. The history of women's economic role, such as in early Islam, highlights their success in this sector. Government measures, such as inclusive programs, show efforts to encourage women's role in the digital economy but improved financial literacy and structural support are still needed. This study aims to analyze the determinants of socio-economic conditions and the role of the Indonesian Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS RI) in women's economic empowerment through digital banking services. This study chose a quantitative approach by conducting an online survey of 306 Indonesian womenpreneurs. The respondents' data was further analyzed using the SEM PLS analysis technique to test the proposed hypotheses. The results showed that digital banking is significant for womenpreneur empowerment in Indonesia. Financial literacy is strong, infrastructure is solid, and government support is in its favor. LPS RI protects digital banking services. recommendations including literacy campaigns, training, technology infrastructure, fiscal incentives, and government-LPS cooperation to advance womenpreneurs with financial technology.

Abstract

TikTok experienced significant growth, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic. Initially, TikTok only served as an entertainment and promotional platform. In late 2021, TikTok began to diversify its services by introducing commercial functions. TikTok Shopping (Tiktokshop) provides various commercial functions, such as the ability to make transactions directly within the Tiktok app. Tiktok shop quickly gained popularity among Indonesians and created many job opportunities. However, the presence of Tiktok shop is considered to create unfair market competition. In October 2023, Tiktokshop was officially closed with the implementation of the Minister of Trade Regulation No. 31 of 2023. The main objective of this research is to investigate the revocation of Tiktok shop licenses and provide recommendations for digital economy regulation in Indonesia. This article uses a qualitative methodology with a case study technique. The research findings show that prohibiting social commerce platforms from allowing direct payments could limit innovation in Indonesia's digital economy. The rapid advancement of technology makes current regulations insufficient to accommodate change and innovation. Therefore, authorities can use a regulatory sandbox approach in regulating the digital economy. This can facilitate innovation while protecting the interests of the wider public so that Indonesia's digital economy is not left behind.

The respondents were determined by the main criteria, namely Muslims aged 11-26 years who represent Generation Z. The results showed that perceived usability and perceived intelligence positively affect trust. In addition, perceived usability positively affects attitude, while trust and attitude positively affect the adoption of  Islamic m-banking. The study aims to analyze the impact of the population, the proportion of women, and economic growth on the unemployment rates in the province of North Sumatra during 2018–2021. The research data used secondary data from the Central Statistical Authority (BPS) of North Sumatra. The research method used the best model selection estimate test and processed the fixed-effect model (FEM), and the analysis technique used the regression analysis of panel data. The results show that the variable of the proportion of women has a negative influence on the number of dismissals. The results of this study can provide a basis for supporting policies that encourage women's economic participation. This may involve efforts to improve access to education and training for women and create better employment opportunities, while the population and economic growth have no influence on the unemployment rate in the province of North Sumatra in 2018–2021. Abstract

The flow of foreign capital (FDI) into a country can be beneficial to the host country and for multinational companies as a form of external financing for the host country. This study aims to analyze and explain the factors that influence the foreign direct investment inflow of Developing-8 countries from 2012 to 2021 using a panel data regression model through fixed-effect approaches. This study found that the size of markets and trade openness have a significant positive impact on FDI in developing eight countries. Meanwhile, the availability of natural resources has significantly negative effects, but inflation and infrastructure have no significant impact on the flow of FDI into developing eight countries. To boost the inflow of FDI, it is also important for governments to be able to make appropriate and profitable policies for countries and companies that are beneficial to countries and domestic firms.

Abstract

This research aims to assess the influence of Islamic financial inclusion, urbanization, inflation, and GDP on the alleviation of poverty in Indonesia. The methodology employed is quantitative, utilizing secondary data in a panel data format spanning the period from 2018 to 2022. A total of 165 samples were gathered, and the data underwent processing through Eviews 10. The findings indicate that individually, the Sharia Financial Inclusion Index (IIKS), inflation, and GDP do not exhibit a significant impact on poverty reduction in Indonesia. Conversely, urbanization has a noteworthy and negative effect on poverty reduction in Indonesia. When considered collectively, the IIKS, urbanization, inflation, and GDP variables jointly exert a substantial influence on poverty reduction in Indonesia, reflected in an Adjusted R-squared value of 98%, while the remaining 2% is attributed to other unexplored factors in this study. For future research endeavors, it is advisable to introduce additional variables for a more comprehensive and profound exploration of this subject.
