Abstract

A mathematicalucommunication abilitysis asskills that mustbbe own by the student’s . However, based on the result of test thatshave done in SMPN 8 Padang it still low and centered teacher learning. This can be improved by applying the cooperative type Think Pair Square learning model so it make student’s become active in the learning process. The purpose of this researchare to know and describes whether the ability of mathematical communication skill of the student’s of the experimental class is better than the control class by applying to Think Pair Square learning models. This type of this research is a combination of quasy experiment with a static group design research design. Abstract

Mathematics is considered difficult by junior high school students, as evidenced by their poor academic performance. Learning outcomes are influenced by several factors, among these factors is student learning interest. Using the right teaching materials can inspire students to engage in interesting and fun learning. This has an impact on their desire to learn. Observations carried out on Field Experience Practice (PPL) at SMP Negeri 7 Padang and interviews with educators revealed that the teaching materials used were not interesting and did not arouse students' interest in learning mathematics independently at school or at home, causing students to become more passive in mathematics. they. The purpose of this research is to develop teaching materials that attract students' self-learning interest through the use of a flipped classroom type blended learning model to improve student learning outcomes in class VIII SMP Negeri 7 Padang. This type of research is design and development research, using the Plomp development model which has three stages, namely preliminary research, development or prototyping, and evaluation. This research was conducted in class VIII SMP Negeri 7 Padang. In conclusion, this e-module meets all valid e-module eligibility criteria and all practical e-module practical criteria.Keywords– Development,Blended Learning,Flipped Classroom.

Abstract

Understanding maths is essential for students. However, at SMPN 2 Lubuk Alung, this capability is still s ubpar. The teacher-centered, educator-dominated nature of the learning process is one of the root reasons of this issue. Other mathematical skills will suffer if this one is weak. In class VIII SMPN 2 Lubuk Alung during the 2023–2024 academic year, the study's objectives were to analyze the increase in concept understanding of students who learn with the Contextual Teaching and Learning (approach and describe whether or not the concept understanding of students who learn with this approach is superior to that of students who learn through direct learning. The type of research is descriptive and quasi-experimental research with a non-equivalent post test-only control group design.The population was 2023/2024 SMPN 2 Lubuk Alung class VIII students. For sampling, researchers utilised simple random sampling. Experimental class wa VIII. 1 and control class was VIII.2 Quizzez and final mathstests were rejecting H0. In class VIII SMPN 2 Lubuk Alung, students who learn with CTL Approach grasp mathematical concepts better than those who learn directly. Keywords – Ability to Understand Mathematical Concepts, CTL Approach, Direct Learning

Abstract

The concept is a basic thing that must be understood by students in learning mathematics, but in fact there are many students who do not understand the concept and experience misconceptions. This study aims to determine the conceptions of students and describe the reason why the students do not understand the concepts and face misconceptions. This type of research is descriptive research with research subjects, that is the students of class VIII.4 Payakumbuh SMP 4 who are grouped in three types. These are the students who understand the concepts, they are who facing misconceptions, and they are who do not understand the concept in solving questions equipped with CRI. The research instruments use by the researcher are test in question form and interview. The data analysis technique uses descriptive qualitative. The results showthat there are students who understand the concept, and do not understand the concept, but there is nostudentwho identified facing the misconceptions. The causes of the students do know the concept are a) talking becomes a habit to the students when the teacher explains the material, b) the less of motivation of the students to discuss when they are given times to to an exercise. They would prefer to copy what their friends have done, c) lack of motivation of students in learning mathematics. Keywords – CRI, concept, misconceptions

Abstract

Interactive learning media is an innovation to help students build mathematical understanding in today's digital era. This study aims to develop interactive learning media based on a constructivism approach to valid and practical algebraic material for seventh grade students of SMP/MTs. The type of research used is development, using Plomp model which consists of a preliminary research stage and a development or prototyping stage. The preliminary research stage is the initial stage to determine the characteristics of the media. The development or prototyping stage is the stage for designing interactive media, a formative evaluation is carried out for evaluation. The results showed that constructivism-based interactive learning media for algebraic material had a valid category, and a very practical category. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the interactive learning media produced are valid and practical. Keywords- Interactive Learning Media, Constructivism, Plomp, Algebra

Abstract

This research was carried out against the background of the minimal use of media during the teaching and learning process. The use of media during learning can have a positive effect and provide good learning outcomes for students. With the use of media, the teaching and learning process is more planned. The media used in this study is the Algebrator Application. This Algebrator application is one of the Technology-based media that can be used as a solution to increase the level of creativity of students to get good learning results. This research was conducted at Angkola Selatan 1 Public Middle School, and the samples in this study were class VIII 1 as the experimental class and VIII 2 as the control class. The conclusions obtained in this study are in the form of the average score in the experimental class and the average value of the control class. The average score in the experimental class in this study was 70.22 and that of the control class was 56.70. The score in the Experiment class is greater than the control class. So that it can be concluded that there is an effect of using algebrator software on the learning outcomes of students in class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Angkola Selatan Keywords–Software Algebrator , Student Learning outcomes , Junior High School, The System of Linear Equations in Two Variables

Abstract

This study aims to develop mathematics teaching materials, namely student worksheet based on Mean-Ends Analysis (MEA) learning model on the material social arithmetics for students grade VII that are valid and practical. This study is the development research using a development research model by Plomp model which consists of three stage namely a preliminary research, a prototyping phase, and an asessment phase. From the analysis validition sheet, shows that student worksheets based on Mean-Ends Analysis (MEA) learning model on the material Social Arithmetics for students grade VII have validity value of 88,89% with very valid category. From the the practical criteria of students respons questionaire result, it shows that this student worksheet have practicality percentage is 96,43% with very practical categories. From the result of the validity and practicality, it was conclude that student worksheet based on Mean-Ends Analysis (MEA) learning model on the material social arithmetics for students grade VII can be stated valid and practical.  Keywords – Development Reasearch, Student Worksheet, Mean-Ends Analysis (MEA) Learning Model.

Abstract

This literature study research aims to describe theoretically whether the cooperative learning of TTW type can enrich students’ understanding of mathematical notions. Literature study and observation are the data collection techniques employed in this research. The research data analysis did several things, namely (1) collecting literature then conducting a review of several essential terms in the study; (2) Perform journals analysis;  (3) The discussion is carried out by linking the results attained from the journal investigation with existing theories; (4) Prepare assumptions constructed on the results of the analysis; (5) Making suggestions based on the findings obtained. Based on the results of the research and discussion, it was concluded that cooperative learning model of TTW can enhance students’ capability to recognize mathematical notions.Keywords- mathematical concept understanding, cooperative learning model, TTW

Abstract

For students, achieving positive learning outcomes is extremely important. In reality, the mathematics learning accomplishment of class VIII understudies at MTsN 1 Kota Padang  is still somewhat low. So, the solution given is Two Stay, Two Stray (TSTS). This research is included in the quasi-experiment category with a nonequivalent post-test-only control group design. Class VIII MTsN 1  Kota Padang  students are the population. By analysing the final test using Mini Tab software, the study's findings had a significance level of  = 0.05 and a P-value of 0.000. This indicates that the achievement of math learning results for class VIII understudies at MTsN 1 Kota Padang  who follow the TSTS  cooperative learning models is superior to that of students who adhere to standard education.Keywords– Learning outcomes, Two Stay Two Stray
