Abstract- Proving mathematics statement is one of important ability for undergraduate student to learn mathematics, especially in learning abstract algebra, real analysis, linear algebra, etc. More than a half of topic in group need proving ability to be mastered. In this article, students’ understanding on proving some statement related to group (abstract algebra) that has been help by using proof reasoning module is examined. Data of student responses are collected using three item test and interview. Based on the result student ability in starting answer and create proving structure has been improved. But students’ overall score still satisfied because they fail on choose some basic concept like theorem or definition to help them in proof. Students' academic growth depends on math. Math achievement at SMP Negeri 42 Padang is subpar for grade VIII pupils. Thus, PMR is used to boost pupils' math skills. This study compares math achievement in PMR and standard learning approaches. This research will also show PMR-based pupils' math learning outcomes. Quasi Experiment with nonequivalent post-test only control group design underpins this work. Despite the reduction in the fifth meeting, the average student quiz results remained consistent at 70-80 grades, showing that experimental class students' mathematics learning outcomes increased overall. The research shows that PMR-based education improves math learning outcomes compared to standard teaching techniques in research.Keywords– Learning outcomes, Realistic Mathematics Education

Problem solving is an important ability that must be developed by students. However, students mathematical problem solving ability in grade VIII of SMPN 1 Batang Anai is very low. The solution is the discovery learning model with students who apply conventional learning model. This type of research is a quasi experimental research design with randomized control group only design. The sample is taken with simple random sampling, class VIII 2 as an experimental class and class VIII 1 as a control class. The conclusion from the results of this study is the mathematical problem solving ability of students who apply the discovery learning model better than students who apply the coventional model in grade VIII of SMPN 1 Batang Anai. The ability to solve problems is one of the goals of learning mathematics and should develop optimally in students. But in fact, students in class XI MIPA SMA N 12 Padang's math problem solving ability is still low. This can be seen in students' responses when asked questions containing problem-solving steps, indicating that students failed to solve math problems correctly. This study aims to analyze the understanding of mathematical concepts of ten social class senior highschool students on compositional function material. This research is a qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The research procedure includes the preparation stage, the implementation stage and the data analysis stage. The research subjects consisted of three students, the selection of research subjects was done by looking at students' math scores, namely the highest, average, and lowest grades in their class with the miminum mastery criteria score as a reference for assessment. The instrument used is a test of understanding mathematical concepts. The results of the study showed that students in ten grades three social enough to understand the compositional function material so that students have an understanding of mathematical concepts that are currently in the compositional function material..Keywords: Analysis of Students Mathematical Ability, Understanding of Mathematical Concepts, Composition Function Material

One of the objectives from learning mathematics which is expected to develop optimally in students is mathematical problem solving skills. But in reality, so many students are still not capable to solve the mathematical problem. This also can be seen in class VIII 1 of SMP Negeri 4 Padang. One of the reasons is because the learning methods that was used in schools has not been able to fully facilitate students’s mathematical problem solving skills development. Applying discovery learning model is a way to help developing student’s said skills. This study was to determine which one was better in developing such skill; those who learn with discovery learning or those who learn with direct learning model. This quasi-experiment study use randomized control group only design with all 8th grade students as the population and class VIII 1 A and VIII 2 B as the samples. A test done in the form of essay questions was used as the research instrument with a results of t-test showing P-value of 0.003, which was found at = 0,05. Because P-value is lower , H0 was rejected and thus concluded that students whose learning used the discovery learning models has a better mathematical problem solving skill compare to students whose learning used direct learning model in 8th grade of SMP Negeri 4 Padang.

The purpose of this research is to develop electronic student worksheets based on the problem-based learning model assisted by desmos on quadratic function material that is valid and practical. This type of research is research and development (R&D). The development model used is the Plomp model. The results of validity data analysis, E-LKPD developed has an average validity value of 86.45% with a very valid category. And the results of the practicality data analysis, the E-LKPD developed has an average practicality value of 95.14% with a very practical category. So it can be concluded that E-LKPD based on problem-based learning assisted by desmos on quadratic function material for class X SMA can be categorized as valid and practical. Mathematical communication skills are a basic abilities that must be possessed by students. However, in reality the mathematical communication skills of class VII students in SMP N 1 Pariaman are still low and learning process is still oriented towards teacher centered. The solution used to overcome thus problems are to use cooperative learning model; Think Talk Write (TTW). The type of the research is a quasy experiment with the design of Randomized Control-Grup Only Design.The sample in this research was two class choose is random. The instrument used to collect information in this research were final tests and quizzes. Analysis of the data used is the t test. The purpose of this research is to determine the mathematical concept understanding ability students who study with the REACT learning strategy and compare it with conventional learning in class XI SMA Adabiah 2 Padang. The type of this research is quasi-experimental with static group comparison design. The population in this research is students of class XI SMA Adabiah 2 Padang with the sample of class XI MIPA 3 as experimental class and XI MIPA 4 as the control clas. From the data analysis, the average value of experimental class was 85,08 and the control class average was 71,76. The result of the calculation of the hypothesis test with tcount is 5.512 and ttable is 2.032, because tcount>ttable (5,512>2,032), so it can be concluded that the proposed hypothesis is accepted. This means that the mathematical concept understanding ability students who study with the REACT learning strategy are better than the results of students mathematics learning with conventional learning in class XI SMA Adabiah 2 Padang. Improving communication skills in the context of mathematics has become essential to achieve success in the learning process. However, the reality is that eighth-grade students at SMPN 22 Padang still face challenges in their mathematical communication skills, which are not yet satisfactory. One possible approach to tackle this situation is to adopt the TGT (Teams-Games-Tournaments) instructional model. This lesson aims to identify and analyze the mathematical communication skills of eighth-grade at SMPN 22 Padang who follow the TGT learning model and whether it is superior compared to students who undergo direct instruction. This study employs quasi-experimental design and a non equivalent posttest only control group design. Sampling was carried out through the utilization of a straightforward random sampling technique, leading to the designation of VIII F for the experimental group and VIII D for control group. Final assessment instrument consists of written descriptions that measure mathematical communication abilities. The data analysis from this study indicates that P-value = 0.002, which is less than 0.05. This suggests that students who participated in TGT (Teams-Games-Tournament) learning model have superior mathematical communication abilities compared to students who underwent direct instruction.Keywords– Mathematical communication skill, Teams Games Tournament, Direct Learning
