Abstract

The The rapid growth of social media has transformed global interactions, often leading to superficial connections, particularly among younger generations. Socles, an early-stage social media startup in Indonesia, seeks to address this issue by fostering genuine relationships through its Socles App, which is designed specifically for Generation Z. The platform emphasizes authenticity and meaningful connections by encouraging offline interactions and offering interactive social games. However, Socles faces significant challenges in acquiring its initial user base, which is critical for its growth. To overcome these challenges, this study applies a strategic management approach to develop targeted user acquisition strategies, with a focus on capturing and retaining user interest in a competitive digital landscape. Utilizing the AIDA model—Attention, Interest, Desire, and Action—the research framework evaluates Socles' internal situation and analyzes the external environment through tools such as PESTEL and Porter’s Five Forces models. Additionally, competitor and trend analyses, along with market insights, are incorporated to inform strategic recommendations. A SWOT analysis synthesizes these findings to guide actionable strategies. The study employs qualitative data from interviews with internal teams and potential users, along with quantitative data from surveys of Indonesian university students, to gain a comprehensive understanding of market preferences. The research concludes with strategic recommendations aimed at enhancing Socles' overall business readiness. This approach offers valuable insights for other startups in the social media industry looking to learn from the Socles case.

Abstract

Sharia financing is one of the important instruments in the modern economy, especially in the context of the people's economy. The basic concept of sharia financing that is free from elements of riba, gharar (uncertainty), and maysir (gambling), offers alternative solutions for Muslims in carrying out economic activities in accordance with sharia principles. In its development, sharia financing has proven to make a significant contribution to improving the welfare of the people, both through the micro, small, and medium (MSME) sector and other sectors. Through Islamic financial institutions, such as Islamic banks, Islamic cooperatives, and non-bank financial institutions, Islamic financing provides fairer and more transparent access to financing, as well as reducing economic inequality. Financing based on mudharabah, musharakah, murabahah, and ijarah, for example, encourages collaboration between capital owners and entrepreneurs, increases productivity, and creates wider employment. In addition, sharia products such as sukuk also play an important role in attracting beneficial investments for infrastructure development and increasing the economic capacity of the community. However, although sharia financing has great potential, challenges still exist, such as the lack of public understanding of sharia products, limited access to sharia financial institutions in certain regions, and challenges in creating a supportive ecosystem. Therefore, it is necessary to increase Islamic financial literacy, strengthen regulations, and support from the government and the community to optimize the role of Islamic financing in improving the economy of the people in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the implementation of the Local Government Information System (SIPD) and the quality of Human Resources (HR) on the accountability of regional financial management in Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD) in Gorontalo Province. SIPD functions as an information system that supports transparency, efficiency, and accuracy in regional financial management, while the quality of human resources plays a role in ensuring that the implementation of the system can run optimally. This study uses a quantitative approach with the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method to test the relationship between variables. The research sample consisted of 142 civil servants who served in the Gorontalo Province OPD and were involved in regional financial management. The results of the study show that SIPD has a positive and significant effect on the accountability of regional financial management, especially in the aspects of efficiency, transparency, and accuracy of financial data. In addition, HR also has a significant influence on accountability, where employees who have an understanding of financial regulations and the ability to operate SIPD tend to be more responsible in reporting and managing regional budgets. Simultaneously, SIPD and HR have a very strong influence on regional financial accountability, with a contribution of up to 100% in explaining the variation in financial accountability. However, there are several obstacles in the implementation of SIPD, such as lack of employee training and technical obstacles in the system. Therefore, local governments need to increase continuous training for ASN and conduct periodic evaluations of the effectiveness of SIPD to ensure better transparency and accountability in regional financial management.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the role of personality in improving the performance of SMEs using a philosophical approach through the dimensions of ontology, epistemology, and axiology. The research problems include how personality affects SME performance and how the perspectives of ontology, epistemology, and axiology provide deeper insights into this relationship. The method employed is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) by analyzing 25 international journal articless that discuss entrepreneurial personality, SME performance, and the underlying philosophical views. The results show that entrepreneurial personalities, such as proactiveness, openness to new experiences, and perseverance, play a significant role in enhancing SME performance. From an ontological perspective, personality is viewed as an entity influencing entrepreneurs' actions and decisions, while epistemology highlights that entrepreneurs' knowledge and experiences are crucial in shaping performance. Axiology emphasizes the ethical and social values underlying entrepreneurial actions in running a business. In conclusion, this study finds that a philosophical approach provides a more holistic understanding of the factors influencing SME performance. The implication of this research is the importance of developing entrepreneurial personalities as an effort to enhance SMEs' competitiveness and sustainability.
