Abstract

Purpose – This study aim to analyze the understanding, level of awareness of the compliance of individual taxpayers in paying land and building tax, both partially and simultaneously. Methodology/approach – The population in this study were individual taxpayers in 11 hamlets of Pangeureunan Village, Garut Regency, totaling 6,195 taxpayers. Based on the slovin sampling technique, a sample of 98 individual taxpayers was obtained. This type of research is quantitative research with primary data. The research method uses descriptive and verification methods. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis with several tests. Findings – From the results of the study it can be concluded that partially the understanding of taxpayers affects taxpayer compliance. Taxpayer awareness affects taxpayer compliance. While simultaneously, taxpayer understanding and taxpayer awareness affect taxpayer compliance

Abstract

This study investigates junior secondary school teachers' perspectives on integrating life skills into the basic science curriculum to enhance students’ upskilling in Anambra State. Employing a survey design, self-structured questionnaires were distributed via Google survey to 80 participating teachers. The research instrument's content validity was ensured through professional input, and reliability was confirmed with a Cronbach's coefficient alpha of 0.77. Demographic data were analyzed using frequency counts and percentages, while mean, standard deviation, and t-tests were employed to assess research questions and hypotheses. The findings provide a comprehensive understanding of teachers' viewpoints on life skills integration, emphasizing challenges and opportunities in the context of basic science education. This study contributes to educational discourse, offering insights that can inform curriculum design and support systems to enhance student upskilling through effective life skills integration.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the suitability of employee placement in the Tanjungpinang City Government based on the merit system. This research is qualitative research using an observation and interview method approach. Information is obtained in more depth and more complete using snowball sampling techniques. The research results show that employee placement in the Tanjungpinang City Government is not in accordance with the merit system. The research results show that there are still problems including; mismatch in educational level, inadequate educational qualifications, less than 1 (one) year of experience in the field, and not/have never taken competency tests and training.

Abstract

Developing capacity building for the tourism industry is important to grow the capacity of community-based tourism factors. Among all the famous tourist destinations community-based tourism is counted as the alternative tourist destination, which is formed by the capacity building factors. This paper aims to identify the key elements and factors for capacity building for the tourism industry and explore some variables that enhance capacity building for tourism. Qualitative methods are applied in this study. Data was collected from different streamlined journals, research papers, and books related to capacity building for tourism sectors. In the future, this paper can help to apply the theoretical concept to develop the capacity of the tourism industry.

Abstract

The object of this research is the Agam Regency Community Welfare Index (IKM), to examine the influence of Leadership Knowledge, Skill and Ability on Performance in Agam Regency SMEs. The aim of this research is to determine how this model can provide a more precise picture of the causal relationship between Leadership Knowledge, Skill, Ability and Performance. the research sample was 100 employees of IKM Agam Regency, taken from business units engaged in manufacturing such as the production of crafts, food, bags, shoes, crackers and garments. Research data analysis is a structural equation model with the SPSS application program to test the 4 (four) hypotheses that have been developed, the relationship that has been hypothesized is a causal relationship. The results of the proposed hypothesis are accepted, the significance value of the Knowledge variable (X1) is 0.031, the significance value of the Skill variable (X2) is 0.028 and the significance value of the Ability variable (X3) is 0.046, then it is proven that if the significance value (sig) or the probability value is smaller than the significance level used (= 0.05), it can be concluded that there is a significant influence of the Knowledge (X1), Skill (X2) and Ability (X3) variables on Performance in IKM Agam Regency.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between job motivation and employee performance at Bukit Raya Sekawan Mining Company. A quantitative associative technique was used in this study. This study's population consists of all 45 employees of Bukit Raya Sekawan Mining Company. Then, as tools and procedures for collecting data, observation, interviews, literature reviews, documentation studies, observation guidelines, and questionnaires are used. The results demonstrated that job motivation has a favorable and significant influence on staff performance at Bukit Raya Sekawan Mining Company. Therefore, Bukit Raya Sekawan Mining Company has to monitor and evaluate staff performance in order to ensure that corporate goals are met to the fullest and employee welfare is ensured. To guarantee a fair allocation of jobs, encourage collaboration among staff members, and provide opportunities for professional growth, Bukit Raya Sekawan Mining Company needs to collect accurate data. This is how it is expected that in the future, Bukit Raya Sekawan Mining Company and its employees would collaborate to fulfill their rights, obligations, and aspirations as one single unit.

Abstract

Human resources have an instrumental role in the development and progress of organizations, both large and small. Every company or institution strives to achieve success in a way that does not quickly increase the productivity of its employees. This research explores companies' initiatives to improve employee performance and human resource management at St. Augustine Catholic University Pontianak. Using quantitative methods and census sampling techniques, this study involved the entire population of Santo Augustine University Pontianak employees, which amounted to 65 people, as a sample. The findings show that Motivation, Discipline, and Teamwork positively improve employee performance. Motivation and Discipline have been shown to significantly improve employee performance, while Teamwork has a positive but insignificant effect on employee performance.

Abstract

The high level of turnover intention in various essential industries in Indonesia makes turnover intention an important issue and makes several companies develop strategies to retain the employees they have. This research aims to determine the effect of perceived organizational support on turnover intention mediated by job embeddedness in retail companies in Sumedang. The methods used in this research are descriptive and verification analysis. The data collection technique used questionnaires and interviews with 80 respondents. The data obtained was analyzed using the Partial Least Square (PLS) analysis technique using SmartPLS ver 3.2.7 for Windows. The research results show that the variable perceived organizational support hurts turnover intention. The variable perceived organizational support has a positive effect on job embeddedness. The job embeddedness variable hurts turnover intention. The results of this study also show that the job embeddedness variable mediates perceived organizational support on turnover intention.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the level of outpatient satisfaction at Sultan Imanuddin General Hospital, Pangkalan Bun. This study used a quantitative approach, with a cross-sectional design and using a Likert scale. Data collection techniques used were documentation, observation, and interview techniques. With a sample size of 132 people. Based on the results of the analysis conducted by the researcher, it can be seen that there is a significant relationship between reliability and patient satisfaction, there is a significant relationship between assurance and patient satisfaction, there is a significant relationship between empathy and patient satisfaction, there is a significant relationship between responsiveness and patient satisfaction, but there is no significant relationship between physical evidence and patient satisfaction at Sultan Imanuddin General Hospital, Pangkalan Bun. Where the most influential aspect of patient satisfaction is empathy, which includes an attitude of attention and concern for patient needs.

Abstract

Purpose – This research explores the innovation strategy to achieve cost leadership through polymers raw material cost breakdown analysis at The OTO Company, a multinational manufacturing company. The goal is to identify, elaborate, implement, and evaluation the effectiveness of strategy to reach cost leadership in context of competitive advantage. Methodology/approach – Using qualitative methods, data were collected by interviews with the employees, direct observation and other secondary sources. Findings – The findings reveal that by implementing cost breakdown analysis and several supporting activities such as employee’s competencies upgrading and A-B-S monomers components brainstorming give the positive impact and support the purchasing function to strengthen their bargaining power and negotiation strategy, also impact to cost reduction or company budget saving. Novelty/value – The research suggests to do periodical checking of cost structure regarding environment or situation changing, also possibility for the conversion into automation to accelerate the cycle time of calculation.
