Abstract

Under Act No. 44 of 2009, hospitals have a responsibility to actively engage in disaster situations, provide services to victims as they can, and have an accident prevention and disaster management system. This research aims to find out how prepared some hospitals are in disaster management based on some library studies. The preparation of this article uses a method of systematic literature review using 10 articles from 2019 to 2024 from search databases, namely Google Scholar, Garuda, Sage Journals, and ScienceDirect. Although hospitals have policies and standard operational procedures to cope with disasters, the findings suggest that their implementation by health personnel is not optimal. Although disaster response teams, K3RS teams, and abuse teams have been formed, education and training efforts are still not at their maximum. Hospitals are important in disaster management, but many still need improvements such as special guidelines, infrastructure, and intensive training. Preparedness includes planning, organization, movement, control, and recovery. Ready hospitals have emergency response teams, training programs, and early warning systems.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze fire emergency preparedness in Indonesian hospitals through a systematic review of previous studies. Using a systematic literature review method, this study identified and synthesized key findings from related studies. The results showed that fire emergency preparedness in hospitals in Indonesia still needs improvement, especially in terms of emergency response systems, human resource capacity, availability of facilities and infrastructure, and coordination with related parties. Efforts to improve preparedness need to be carried out comprehensively, involving collaboration between hospitals, government, fire department and the community.

Abstract

As the industrial era develops around the world, the government is rapidly developing infrastructure including toll roads. The construction industry, which provides construction services, plays an important role in this development. Toll roads are dangerous workplaces and the risk of occupational injuries is high. Workplace accidents can result in property loss, death, and delays in the production process. The management of occupational safety and health (OHS) on toll roads is a major concern to prevent industrial accidents and increase productivity. The management of occupational safety and health (OHS) on toll roads is a major concern to prevent industrial accidents and increase productivity. However, in the face of OHS emergencies on toll roads,. However, in dealing with OHS emergencies on toll roads, there is a gap between expectations and the actual situation.  This research maps the latest methods and trends in Occupational Safety and Health (OHS) emergency response on toll roads through a literature review. The results show that the application of real-time monitoring technology and predictive analytics significantly improves the effectiveness of OHS emergency response. These technologies enable early detection and rapid response to incidents and help identify potential hazards and assess risks more accurately, allowing for more targeted preventive measures.

Abstract

Hospital preparedness for fire response is essential for several critical reasons relating to safety, health and operations. The purpose of the literature review is to find what readiness is needed for hospitals to respond to fire emergencies. In this study, researchers conducted a literature review by examiningvarious journal articles relevant to the research objectives. The results of the literature that have been carried out regarding hospital readiness for fire emergency response are the preparation of fire emergency plans, training and simulations, maintenance of safety equipment, preparation of evacuation routes, budgets, and availability of emergency response teams. Hospital preparedness for fire is very important for the safety of patients, staff and visitors. Things to consider include having a clear emergency plan, regular training for staff, periodic inspection and maintenance of fire-fighting equipment, and efficient evacuation arrangements,Keywords: Fire, Readiness, Hospital, Emergency Response.

Abstract

Community health centers, as providers of public health services at the local level, have a crucial role in saving lives and minimizing the impact of fires on health services. This study aims to assess the readiness of community health centers in Indonesia for emergency response to fires. This study uses a literature study approach. This article uses a narrative synthesis method and follows the PRISMA guidelines. Data were collected through a systematic search in ScienceDirect and Google Scholar with a limit of the last five years. The results of the literature study indicate that, when viewed in terms of human resources, most community health centers have formed a special team for emergency response to fires. In terms of budget, the funds used come from the allocation of community health center funds; for infrastructure, it is adequate with the presence of APAR, detectors, hydrants, and fire alarms. As for fire preparedness, it has followed the provisions of the Ministry of Health. This study concludes that overall, the readiness of community health centers in Indonesia for emergency response to fires is good, but several things need to be improved, especially in terms of human resources.

Abstract

The problem that is often faced in the use of pesticides in the field is the incorrect amount, time, and type of application as a result of the user's lack of knowledge and awareness regarding the correct application of pesticides. From the initial service carried out by researchers, it was seen that several farmers were still not implementing appropriate pesticide applications, such as not wearing personal protective equipment in the form of masks, gloves, and so on. This research aims to describe the behavior of vegetable farmers in pesticide application. This type of research is descriptive and quantitative with a population of 2,361 people and a sample of 48 people. Data was collected from January – March 2024. Data was collected by conducting an initial survey and questionnaire measuring tools. Based on the research conducted, it was discovered that as many as 26 people with a percentage of 54.17% of the sampled chili farmers had low knowledge of pesticide application. As many as 21 people with a percentage of 43.75% of chili farmers had a negative attitude towards pesticide application and as many as 19 people with a percentage of 39.58% had unfavorable attitudes towards pesticide application. It is recommended that the Head of Nagari Wali coordinate with PPL (Field Agricultural Officers) to socialize appropriate and correct pesticide application, so that vegetable farmers maintain their attitude during this time, such as getting used to showering after spraying pesticides and using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during pesticide application.

Abstract

Hospitals have many potential occupational safety and health (K3) hazards for their nurses. One example is nosocomial infections caused by puncture and/or incision wounds (CTS). Needle Stick Injury (NSI) occurs when hypodermic needles, such as hypodermic syringes, blood draw needles, intravenous syringes, and connecting needles from intravenous administration systems, accidentally puncture the skin. The research method used is a systematic literature review of previous research results. The research results show that the incidence of needle stick injury (NSI) is influenced by several factors. Associated factors include age, minimal experience, participation in training, and acceptance of HB vaccination. Controlling the incidence of needle stick injuries can be done by providing regular training so that nurses can continue to improve their competency and reduce the risk of accidents.

Abstract

Based on an preliminary survey conducted at PT Besmindo Materi Sewatama, it was found that more than half of the incidents of work accidents were caused by unsafe actions of workers in the maintenance section. The purpose of the study was to determine the factors associated with unsafe acts in maintenance workers of PT Besmindo Materi Sewatama in 2024. This research was conducted at PT Besmindo Materi Sewatama in the maintenance department from April to July 2024. This research is a quantitative study with a cross-sectional design. The research sample amounted to 30 people. The sampling technique used was total sampling. The results showed that there was a relationship between knowledge and unsafe acts (P = 0.000) and there was no relationship between work supervision and unsafe acts (p = 0.123). It is recommended for supervisors to make standard operating procedures to work safely for maintenance workers.
