Abstract

This research examines the gap between legal norms and the reality of protecting the rights of Indonesian Migrant Workers (TKI) and their impact on families in the perspective of Islamic family law. Although Indonesia has comprehensive regulations such as Law No. 18/2017 on the Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers, its implementation is still far from expectations. Structural problems cause violations of migrant workers' rights that have an impact on family disintegration, neglect of maintenance obligations, and marital conflict. This research uses a juridical-normative method with statutory, conceptual, and shar'i approaches. Data were collected through a literature study of primary and secondary legal materials, then analyzed descriptively-qualitatively and comparatively. The results show that there is a significant gap between legal guarantees and actual protection of migrant workers, which results in the neglect of family rights as regulated in Islamic law. The perspective of Islamic family law offers solutions through the principles of justice (al-'is), benefit (maslahah), and protection (hifzh). The research recommends the integration of Islamic law values in migrant worker protection policies, strengthening the role of the family as a protection unit, and harmonizing positive law with sharia principles to realize family-based holistic protection.

Abstract

The pain sensation in Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) leads to decreased self-efficacy, namely an individual's belief in their ability to perform activities. One of the non- pharmacological methods to address this pain problem is through education on warm compress therapy. This therapy provides a warming sensation that can enhance comfort and reduce pain. The objective of this study is to describe the implementation of warm compress education on self-efficacy in elderly patients with RA. This research employed a descriptive design with a nursing care approach, encompassing the stages of assessment, diagnosis, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. The study involved two elderly respondents experiencing moderate pain intensity and self-efficacy scores below 30 in RA. Warm compress therapy was administered for 20 minutes, twice a week. To assess self-efficacy, the Patient Self-Efficacy Questionnaire (PSEQ) was used. The findings indicated an increase in self-efficacy from below 30 to above 60, as well as improvement in respondents' ability to perform daily activities. In addition, joint pain intensity decreased from a moderate level to a mild level. This study is expected to serve as a reference for patients to implement the therapy and as a source for developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for pain management in RA patients at elderly care facilities.

Abstract

Open Reduction Internal Fixation (ORIF) procedures in patients with fractures often result in pain, which leads to limited mobility and decreased muscle strength. These issues can prolong the bone healing process. Early implementation of Range of Motion (ROM) exercises can improve muscle strength, maintain joint flexibility, enhance blood circulation, and accelerate wound healing. This study aims to describe the implementation of early ROM exercises in post-ORIF patients with cruris fractures and their effect on muscle strength. The research method used was a case study design with a nursing care approach, starting from assessment, diagnosis, intervention, implementation, and evaluation, involving two post-ORIF cruris fracture patients. The instrument used was a Manual Muscle Testing (MMT) observation sheet, with data collected through interviews, observation, physical examination, and nursing documentation. The study was conducted in February 2025 over three days, and data were analyzed narratively. The results showed improvements in muscle strength, reduction of pain, and increased joint flexibility through ROM exercises. The study concludes that early ROM exercises demonstrate an increase in muscle strength and a reduction in pain level.

Abstract

The increasing incidence of fraud crimes employing illegal investment schemes has developed alongside changes in social, economic, and technological structures in modern society. These crimes demonstrate patterns of abuse of trust and manipulation of social relations carried out systematically and repeatedly. This research focuses on examining fraud crimes involving illegal investment schemes from a criminological perspective and on analyzing law enforcement responses to such offenses.  The analysis is conducted using criminological theories and theories of law enforcement. This research employs normative legal research aimed at obtaining relevant data related to the research problems. The data used consist of secondary data in the form of primary, secondary, and tertiary legal materials, supported by primary data as a complement to the secondary legal materials. Data analysis is conducted using qualitative juridical analysis.  The findings indicate that illegal investment fraud constitutes a form of modern economic crime carried out in a planned manner through the abuse of trust and manipulation of social relations. Law enforcement in this context remains predominantly legalistic and formalistic and has not fully positioned law as an instrument to serve human interests and protect victims of crime. This study suggests that law enforcement authorities should view illegal investment fraud as a systemic and organized economic crime, thereby necessitating stronger criminological analysis to dismantle criminal networks. Furthermore, law enforcement efforts should be directed not only toward the punishment of perpetrators but also toward the protection of victims and the recovery of their losses through strengthened regulation of digital investment activities and the adoption of more progressive, preventive, and adaptive approaches.

Abstract

Meningioma is an intracranial tumor of unknown etiology; however, progesterone is considered a hormonal factor associated with its incidence. Clinical manifestations include psychosis depending on the tumor location, with distinct symptoms such as the emergence of Charles Bonnet Syndrome (CBS). Additionally, Increased Intracranial Pressure (IICP) is a recurrent complication of craniotomy procedures. IICP poses a risk of cerebellar herniation, which can lead to decreased consciousness and respiratory arrest; therefore, intracranial management is crucial. One management strategy is 30° head elevation. This study aims to describe the application of a 30° head elevation intervention for decreased adaptive intracranial capacity in patient post-craniotomy for Space Occupying Lesion (SOL) Meningioma. This study utilized a case report design conducted in May 2023 at RSUD Sumedang. The results indicate that elevating the head above heart level facilitates venous return from the brain to the heart and helps activate the parasympathetic nervous system, which regulates bodily functions during rest. This maximizes patient relaxation, resulting in improved cerebral tissue perfusion, adequate oxygenation status, reduced headache, resolution of nausea and vomiting, and stable blood pressure. The 30° head elevation intervention is recommended as a non-pharmacological approach to address decreased adaptive     1     intracranial capacity, ensuring adequate cerebral blood circulation.

Abstract

The regional government has the right to establish regional regulations and other regulations to implement regional autonomy and assistance tasks, this right is regulated in article 18 paragraph 6 of the 1945 Constitution, second amendment. The making of regional regulations in principle must be made based on nad guided by applicable laws and regulations. Regional regulationsare declared to have validity if the process of making them is based on 3 (three ) aspects, namely: authority, procedure and substance. Regional regulatios as an instrument of government are expected to provide benefits to achieve the goals of the state as stated in the 1945 Constitution. Although the making of regional regulations has good intentions and objectives, in practice there are citizens, communities, private legal entities and public legal entities who feel that their interest are harmed by the existence of these regional regulations. The provisions of article 24 paragraph 1 of the 1945 Constitution as amended in the third edition, stipulated that the Supreme Court has the authority to tes laws and regulatios under the law against the law. That according to the provisions of article 7 paragraph 1 of Law number 12 of 2011 concerning the formatios of law and regulations, the hierarchy of regional regulation is below the law. That thus the testing of the validity of regional regulations becomes the autorithy of the Supreme Court to tes it. The procedural law applicable to the examinations of the testing of laws and regulations under the law against the law is Supreme Court Regulations Number 1 of 2011 concerning the right to material review. That because there is a discrepancy between the material law and the proceduaral law governing the right to material review, it raises theproblem of hiw is the mechanism for testing the validity of regional regulations carried out by the Supreme Court ? The research in this thesis is in principle a normative research, so the approach chosen is legislative approach and cases approach; whilw the method used to analyze legal material or research data uses the deductive syllogism method. Testing the validity of regional regulations is in principle based on 3 ( Three ) aspects, namely: authority, procedure and substance. Thus testing these three aspects will begin with research on the basic regulations that regulate. Futhermore, to find out the applications of these regulatios in the practice of examining the to material review in the Supreme Court, it will be carried out on a sample of Supreme Court decisions that test the validity of regional regulations
