Abstract

This article or writing aims to develop tourism in the Nias Islands, especially Hoya Beach. The Nias Islands offer interesting nature and culture, but the number of visits on weekdays is lower than weekends and holidays. Therefore, it is necessary to build supporting facilities, such as hotels and resorts, to increase tourist attraction. Hotels and resorts at Hoya Beach will adopt a Neo-Vernacular Architecture approach to showcase the unique culture of Nias. The aim is to support the development of Hoya Beach as a major tourist destination that contributes to the economic growth of the Nias Islands. By designing comfortable and attractive accommodation facilities, Hoya Beach has the potential to become one of the most popular tourist destinations in Indonesia and provide economic benefits for the local community.

Abstract

This study aims to review the performance parameters and user satisfaction of the implementation of Trans Metro Deli buses, especially the Tembung – Merdeka Field route. This research began by observing and collecting data in the field such as the number of passengers, intermediate time, and travel time and distributing a questionnaire to 100 respondents to find out the perception of passengers and passenger satisfaction with the performance of Trans Metro bus services. The methods used in this study are the Importance Performance Analysis and Customer Satisfaction Index methods. Based on the results of the performance parameter review research, an average load factor of 40.57% was obtained, the average travel time was 56.63 minutes, and the intermediate time was 8.99 minutes. So, the load factor parameters and travel time need to be improved because the values are not in accordance with the standards that have been set. Based on the results of the research from passengers' perception of the performance of Trans Mebidang bus services, what needs to be improved are indicators 11, 21 and 22. And based on the results, the level of passenger satisfaction was obtained by 87.036%, including in the category of very satisfied.

Abstract

Silalahi Village, located in Dairi Regency, North Sumatra, has become a popular tourist destination as part of the Toba Caldera Geopark area, which has been designated as a UNESCO Geopark. The area has great potential to attract both local and foreign visitors, and since the COVID-19 pandemic, there has been an increase in tourism. To support this growth, more resort hotels are being built in the Toba Caldera tourist area, including in Silalahi. A resort hotel in Silalahi will help further to develop the area as a potential tourist destination. The resort hotel in Silalahi was designed using architectural methods incorporating a neo-vernacular approach to preserve the surrounding cultural and natural environment. This approach drew inspiration from the traditional houses of the Pakpak ethnic group, the majority population in Dairi Regency. The resort hotel incorporates elements of Pakpak traditional house architecture into its design, such as the roof shape, building on stilts, and decorative ornaments on the building façade

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the structure of the building of Madrasah Aliyah Negeri I Tanjung Pura Dormitory, Langkat Regency using SAP 2000 software to obtain fast and accurate calculations, and compare the results of the calculation of column reinforcement, beams, slabs, and foundations with planning consultants. The calculation results show the dimensions and reinforcement as follows: Column K1 (40x40 cm) uses 8D22mm, K2 (30x30 cm) uses 8D16mm, beam B1 (25x50 cm) T8D16mm, L9D16mm, beam B2 (25x60 cm) T8D16mm, L7D16mm, beam B3 (20x40 cm) T6D16mm, L7D16mm, and beam BA (20x30 cm) T5D16mm, L5D16mm. Roof slabs (10 cm thick) and floor slabs (12 cm thick) use ø10-200mm and ø10-150mm reinforcement. The pilecap foundation uses D16-200mm reinforcement for X and Y directions. The results of SAP 2000 analysis show that the reinforcement is up to 50% larger than that of consultants, due to differences in assumptions related to economics and ease of implementation in the field.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the application of Neo Vernacular Simalungun in shopping centers in PematangSiantar. The problem is focused on the need for a shopping center that is complete with modern facilities and typical of the region. In order to approach this problem, the theoretical reference of Neo Vernacular architecture is used as the basis for design. The data were collected through literature study and qualitative analysis of the Neo Vernacular design principles of Simalungun. This study concludes that shopping centers in Pematangsiantar are designed as modern facilities with the application of the Neo Vernacular Simalungun theme. The building mass is in the middle of the site with circulation surrounding it, equipped with vegetation for aesthetics, air insulation, and noise. Key amenities include elevators, escalators, supermarkets, cinemas, restaurants, and an outdoor park with a sports area and children's playground. The zoning of buildings is divided into public, semi-public, private, and service, with the orientation facing northeast. The application of Simalungun ornaments such as Pinar Gatip-Gatip and the shape of the roof of the Bolon Traditional House strengthens the cultural identity.

Abstract

Pavement is a system consisting of several layers of material that is placed on the subgrade. The main purpose of pavement construction is to provide a flat surface with a certain toughness, with a sufficiently long service life, and minimum maintenance. The population growth in Indonesia is very fast, which can result in an increase in population mobility in Indonesia. So that many heavy vehicles appeared on the highway. Therefore, the government continues to spur infrastructure development in Indonesia. One of the basic ingredients for road infrastructure development is filler. Pavement above ground is usually formed from several layers that are relatively weak at the bottom, and gradually stronger at the top. With this research, it is hoped that it can provide understanding and add insight into the effect of using mountain rock as coarse aggregate and volcanic ash as a filler in hot asphalt mixture, especially AC-BC as a flexible pavement binder layer in terms of marshall properties (stability, flow, void in mineral aggregate (VMA), void in the mix (VIM), void filled with asphalt (VFA) and Marshall Quotient). From the data from the Marshall test test results for the AC BC asphalt mixture with different bitumen variations, the optimum asphalt content was 5.57%.  Meanwhile, from the different aggregate variations using the optimum bitumen content, the asphalt mixture using natural stone aggregates has a stability value of 1190.8 kg, so it can be used in the planning of a local pavement with low traffic volume.
