Abstract

Registration of new students is a process that is usually carried out every year in educational institutions such as schools. New student registration is useful in screening prospective students who are selected to become students. In this research, the registration process for new students at SMA Hikmah Yapis Papua was carried out using a website. The problem of this research is how to implement the Android-based REST API application to register new students at SMA Hikmah Yapis Papua. The research methods used are interviews, observation and bibliometric research. This Android-based new student registration application was built using the Kotlin programming language and uses the Laravel framework as the API and the MySQL database as the database server. The result of this research is an Android-based REST API application for registering new students at SMA Hikmah Yapis Papua which is able to facilitate student registration and obtain information about the school.

Abstract

University Technology of Yogyakarta (UTY) has released the UTY Student Portal Application since 2020 which is an improvement in services to support student academic activities. The UTY Student Portal application was developed by Puskom from Yogyakarta Technology University. The UTY Student Portal application is a system designed and built to manage data related to academic information which includes student data, lecturer data, lecture results records, lecture schedules and so on. The presence of this Student Portal Application has given rise to various comments from its users, namely UTY students. Seeing this problem, the researchers conducted research on student opinions regarding the UTY Student Portal Application using the Naïve Bayes Classifier. This research uses the Python programming language. Based on the results of the discussion, it was found that the accuracy level was 93% in the training process and the testing accuracy was around 65.2% with a distribution of training and test data of 70%:30% from 150 opinion text data. This model creation experienced overfitting, because the resulting testing accuracy was much smaller than the training accuracy.

Abstract

Losing an item is a condition where a person part with an item that previously existed to become non-existent. Yogyakarta Technology University students still often experience lost items around campus area 1. Students who experience loss usually use social media to spread information to each other, but this is still less effective because the information uploaded by students can be covered by the content or status uploaded. by other students. The impact that occurs when there is no information system is that the dissemination of information related to lost and found items is not on target so that it is more difficult for students to find their lost items again. The aim of this research is to design a system as a medium for information regarding the loss and discovery of goods in the Yogyakarta University of Technology campus 1 area. The method in this research uses the waterfall model. The results of this research are to produce an Android-based application that can make it easier for students to exchange information regarding lost and found items around the Yogyakarta University of Technology campus 1 area so that it is easier for students to find and return items to students who have lost items.

Abstract

Human resources management is a vital component within any organization, serving as a valuable asset and a driving force. However, many companies face challenges when it comes to managing employee data, processing leave requests, and generating accurate salary reports, often relying on cumbersome manual processes. This research aims to address these challenges by implementing a REST API (Representational State Transfer Application Programming Interface) in a web-based human resources application. The REST API is carefully built using the Laravel framework, adhering to REST architecture principles to ensure security during internet-based information exchange. The development methodology employed for this application is the waterfall method, a sequential and structured approach to software development. Through these enhancements, this application is expected to significantly assist HR departments in efficiently managing employee data, expediting leave request processing, and simplifying the generation of comprehensive reports. The anticipated outcomes of this research are expected to equip HR professionals with the necessary tools to efficiently navigate these intricate tasks, ultimately enhancing organizational efficiency and effectiveness.

Abstract

The phenomenon of mental health and suicide is still a sensitive issue that occurs throughout the world, therefore if no prevention is done, then sensitive cases like this will continue to take place. The rise of suicide cases that continue to increase every year makes this social phenomenon much raised in the world of art, such as songs. One of the songs that describes the phenomenon of mental health and suicide is the song with the title 1-800-273- 8255. This research aims to find out what motivational meaning is contained in the lyrics of the song 1-800-273-8255. This research uses interpretative qualitative research with Ferdinand de Saussure's semiotic method which divides the meaning of understanding into signifiers and signs through analysis in each stanza of the lyrics. The results of this study after dividing several stanzas in the song lyrics then divide the analysis into signifiers and signs to find the meaning of motivation contained in the song lyrics. The author found that the song "1-800-273-8255" has a motivational meaning and is also part of a suicide prevention campaign that is in accordance with the message of the song "1-800-273-8255". The song contains two factors to understand the message, namely informative messages and persuasive messages. The informative message in this song is a campaign that campaigns for the hotline number 1-800-273-8255. Then the persuasive message in this song is awareness about mental health issues and suicide, the importance of seeking help, providing messages and hope, overcoming hopelessness, and empathy and understanding. Then with the motivation that has been obtained can help these people to solve their problems.

Abstract

In Indonesia, coffee has become a necessity for some people because the effects can increase stamina and mood so that it can make a person's activities more productive, therefore quality coffee beans are needed so that coffee drinks can produce maximum effects and can be enjoyed by the public This is the basis for researchers to conduct research on the classification of superior quality coffee beans with accurate accuracy. Researchers use the naïve Bayes classifier method because this algorithm is considered more effective in cases of object classification compared to classification carried out manually. Researchers used 220 primary data with parameter configurations, namely, test size 0.2, random state 15, and Gausian model. The accuracy results obtained after testing were 0.91 for training data and 0.86 for testing data. It was concluded that the Naive Bayes method proved to be quite effective for classifying the coffee beans studied

Abstract

This research aims to develop a mobile-based motorbike rental application using the programming language PHP, Kotlin, and REST API with the problems identified in this research being the process of ordering and managing rental motorbike data which is still manual and less efficient, as well as knowing the selection of motorbikes and When renting you have to come directly to the place. The impact of this problem is increased operational costs and lack of customer satisfaction. The method used in this research is system development design, with a focus on analysis, design, implementation and application testing. The result of this research is a motorbike rental application that can be used by users to order motorbikes online and make payments for rented motorbikes. The back-end of this application was created using the PHP programming language, Kotlin for mobile application development, and uses the REST API as a bridge between the back-end and front-end. In conclusion, the mobile-based motorbike rental application developed in this research can help as a solution to increase efficiency and security in the ordering process and managing motorbike rental data.

Abstract

The K-Wave phenomenon that swept the world is certainly still being felt today. Assisted by the development of social media that is getting bigger and bigger in demand because of its features that make distance more meaningless. So this research will examine the parasocial relationship between fans and K-Pop idol TREASURE on the Weverse application which is popular among K-Pop fans. The application is supported by various features that allow fans to exchange information and messages with idols and even other TREASURE fans. TREASURE often replies to its fans through Weverse randomly or for lucky fans. Fans finally feel an interaction when using the application even though only fan representatives are replied to by TREASURE members. Other fans also feel the interpersonal communication between themselves and their idols. This can be called a parasocial relationship, which is a one-way relationship felt by fans. Where this research aims to see, describe, and analyse how the phenomenon of parasocial relationships between TREASURE MAKERS in Samarinda and TREASURE in using the Weverse application. Using the classification of levels of parasocial relationships and Social Information Processing theory as supporting arguments when the research results are found. Then this research has a qualitative descriptive type by showing the research results that the phenomenon of parasocial relationships between TREASURE MAKER and TREASURE fans has passed all three levels, namely Entertainment Social Value, Intense Personal Feeling, and Borderline Pathological so that in theory the SIP informants in this study show an extraordinary feeling of closeness to their idols through the help of the Weverse application.

Abstract

Jepara Regency is known as one of the centres of furniture production in Indonesia thanks to its distinctive wooden crafts. Many furniture industries in this area have adopted the strategy of marketing through catalogues as a promotional medium, but with the rapid popularity of smartphone use, the use of social media as a marketing tool for furniture products has also increased. This has resulted in marketing through catalogues of furniture products via social media becoming commonplace and less effective. The ineffectiveness of catalogue media is because it has limitations that can only convey information in the form of images, while the selection of furniture products requires design considerations according to customer preferences. With problems arising related to the effectiveness of furniture marketing strategies, innovation is needed in product visualisation. The proposed solution is to use Augmented Reality (AR) technology on promotional media. Augmented Reality (AR) is a technology that combines digital information with the user's environment in real-time. In this research, an Android-based furniture promotion application is developed with the Extreme Programming method that utilizes AR technology to visualise furniture product designs in 3D and is designed using the Unified Modelling Language (UML). It is expected that this application can increase interest and facilitate customers in finding furniture products, as well as support the furniture industry in promoting its products.

Abstract

Currently, the process of ordering tourist tickets is still done manually, especially in the Donorojo area, namely by visiting a travel agent or contacting the relevant party by telephone to order tickets. This process tends to take a long time, especially if users must queue to place an order. In addition, information regarding ticket prices and available schedules is not always easily accessible to users. The impact of this problem is confusion and errors in ordering tickets, as well as the buildup of queues at counters which causes congestion. To overcome this problem, we developed a tourist ticket booking application in Donorojo sub-district by implementing payment gateway methods including Flutter as a mobile application development framework and Firebase as a database management system that allows users to order tickets online, find out available tourist destination information and prices. and the schedule of tickets offered. The solution step taken is to collect and analyze data regarding popular tourist destinations, as well as implementing an online payment feature in the application. The interim results we have obtained are applications that are able to provide information about available tourist destinations, as well as provide convenience in the payment process and increase transaction security by using this payment gateway. Users can choose the desired destination, select the date and number of tickets needed, and make payment via the application. After payment is complete, the application will issue an electronic ticket which can be shown upon arrival at the tourist destination.
