Abstract

ABSTRACT This study was conducted to examine the effect of interaction between Kascing and Herbafarm fertilizers on cabbage growth and yield. This study used a Factorial Completely Randomized Design consisting of 2 factors. The first factor was the application of kascing fertilizer (K) which consisted of 4 levels. The second factor was fertilization of Herbafarm (H) which consisted of 4 levels, so that this experiment had 16 treatment combinations. The parameters observed were the age of crop formation (days), crop diameter (cm), fresh weight of the crop (grams), and the number of leaves that not formed a crop (strands). The results showed that interaction of kascing fertilizer and Herbafarm was significantly affected on the crop diameter and fresh weight of cabbage crop heads. The best treatment was 1.8 kg of kascing fertilizer per plot and 75 ml of Herbafarm concentration per plant (K3H3). The main significant effect of kascing was found on the age of crop formation, crop diameter, fresh crop weight and number of leaves that not formed crop. The main significant effect of Herbafarm was found on the age of crop formation, crop diameter, fresh crop weight and number of leaves that not formed crop. The best treatment was 75 ml herbafarm per plant. Keywords: Kascing and Herbafarm fertilizers, Growth, Yield, Cabbage

Abstract

ABSTRACT The United States is the main market for Indonesia's frozen shrimp exports, after Japan and the European Union. This study aims to analyze: (1) the export performance; (2) the export competitiveness; and (3) the factors affecting export of Indonesian frozen shrimp in the US market. This study uses library research methods, data analysis used in this study are: growth rate, concentration ratio (CR4) & Herfindahl Index (HI); Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA) & Constant Market Share Analysis (CMSA); and linear regression with OLS estimation method. The results of the analysis show: (1) The growth of the export value of Indonesian frozen shrimp is 15.54%, while the value of CR4 & HI is 63,69% & 1.471, which are indicate that concentration and competition of the market is at moderate level, where Indonesia's market share is 15,21% (third highest after India and Thailand), (2) Indonesia's average RCA index is 20,11, the CMSA analysis show that the change in actual market share (0,77 x 10-4) is largely influenced by the competitiveness effect (98,74%), and the rest is influenced by the commodity composition effect (2,56%) and market distribution effect (-1,30%), (3) Factors that affect the export of Indonesian frozen shrimp in the US market significantly are domestic production, frozen shrimp export prices, processed shrimp export prices, and real exchange rates. Abstract

ABSTRACT Indonesian people still make rice as the main food-producing crop. Rice production shows a significant increase in almost all regions. Thus, many farmers depend on rice farming for their livelihoods, and still run their businesses on a small scale. With a relatively small business scale, causing income derived from rice farming is also relatively lower. The purpose of this study was to analyze the characteristics of farmers and the profile of rice farming, analyze cultivation technology, use of production factors, production, production costs, and rice farming income. Data analysis methods used are descriptive qualitative and quantitative descriptive. The results showed that rice farming was the main occupation of most farmers. The average age of rice farmers is 39.7 years (productive age group). The majority of farmers' education is graduated from junior high school. The average number of dependents is 3-4 families, and farming experience is around 6 to 10 years. Partial land ownership is own land with an average land area of 0,37 Ha. The condition of rice farming is quite good, it's just that there are problems with irrigation that cause farmers to only depend on rainwater. The rice farming revenue is IDR 10.219.500 / growing season which is obtained from the production of 2.271 kg/planting season, with a production cost of IDR 7.037.582 The benefit gained is as much as Rp 3.181.918 / planting season. The efficiency of rice farming is 1,45, which means that rice farming is already profitable. Keywords: Rice, On farm, Production, Revenue.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the effect of the optimal dose of cherry leaf extract solution on incubation time, hatchability, and survival of larvae of catfish (Clarias gariepinus). The research used an experimental method using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 3 replications, namely: (P1) 2,0 gr/l, (P2) 2,5 gr/l, (P3) 3,0 gr/l , (P4) 3,5 gr/l and (P5) 4,0 gr/l. The test eggs used came from artificial spawning at the Fish Seed Center (BBI), Riau Islamic University. The container used is a jar with a capacity of 10 liters of 15 pieces. This research was conducted for 21 days on October 2019 at the Laboratory of Fish Seed Center (BBI), Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Pekanbaru. The results showed that the best adhesion was found on (P5) 4,0 gr/l of 98,89%. The incubation time and hatchability of the best treatment at (P3) 3,0 gr / l, the incubation time is 17 hours 27 minutes with a hatchability of 83,33%. Furthermore, the best treatment life was on (P2) 2,5 gr/l was 42,08%. The results of measurements of water quality parameters in this study had temperatures ranging from 290 C - 340 C, pH 6,0-6,5, ammonia between 0,28-0,97 and DO range between 3,14-3,81. Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to determine the development of Indonesia's natural rubber exports. The data used are Time Series data from 1996-2016 obtained from various sources such as International Trade Statistics, FAO, United Nation Commodity Trade Statistics and BPS. The research data were analyzed using descriptive analysis. The results showed that the development of Indonesia's natural rubber export volume was increasing, although it fluctuated but still grew positively by 3.34 percent. This increase has an impact on increasing the value of its exports, even the increase is greater than the increase in volume. Over the past 21 years the value of Indonesia's natural rubber exports grew by 9.95 percent. Keywords: Development, Natural Rubber, Exports.

Abstract

ABSTRACT In Indragiri Hilir Regency, coconut grows on peat land and mineral land. The difference in land conditions will affect the amount of production and income that farmers will receive. The objectives of this study are: (1) To determine the characteristics of Deep Coconut farmers on peat land and mineral land in Indragiri Hilir Regency. (2) Analyzing the production and income of Deep Coconut farmers on peat land and mineral land in Indragiri Hilir Regency. (3) Analyzing what factors influence the production of Deep Coconut on peat land and mineral land in Indragiri Hilir Regency. This study uses a survey method. The research location was determined in Kempas District for peat land and Concong District for mineral land. The sample is determined by purposive sampling, which is based on the age of coconut plants with a range of 10-15 years. Data were analyzed descriptively qualitatively and quantitatively, using the Cobb-Douglas production function. The results of the study show that (1) peat land and mineral land farmers have relatively the same characteristics farmers, the age of productive farmers, average education level graduating from elementary school, number of family dependents 3-4 people and having experience in farming for 20-29 years. (2) Coconut production on peat land is greater than mineral land, as well as income. (3) Factors that significantly affect coconut production on peat land are land and the number of productive plants, while for mineral land, they are processed. Keywords: Coconut, Peat Land, Mineral land, Cobb-Douglas
