Abstract

Seeing the environmental conditions of the Pedeslohor village which is diverse with cultures and religions, it is necessary to prevent radicalism, especially among teenagers. The people of Pedeslohor village are still lagging behind in terms of culture and religion. Like the influence of community organizations in Pedeslohor village which is still very minimal, the community can still be mapped based on cultural and religious elements. Against this background, it is necessary to emphasize the deterrence of radicalism in order to maintain the existence of man and Islam in the Pedeslohor village community. Countering this radicalism was carried out with the formation of the Nahdlatul Ulama Student Association (IPNU) and the Nahdlatul Ulama Girls Student Association (IPPNU) movements under the autonomous body of the Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) community organization. The existence of the IPNU and IPPNU movements was also carried out with education for love of the motherland.

Abstract

Plastic waste is a pressing global issue that demands solution-oriented actions from various levels of society. Desa Kajen, Talang District, Tegal Regency, is no exception in facing the challenge of plastic waste. This article aims to explore the utilization of plastic waste through the Ecobrick method as an effort to reduce plastic waste in the village. The Ecobrick method involves compacting plastic waste into used plastic bottles, creating environmentally friendly bricks that can be used as an alternative building material. This study was conducted through a community engagement approach, involving active participation from the community of Desa Kajen. A preliminary study was conducted to identify the quantity and types of plastic waste generated and evaluate the level of community awareness regarding the negative impacts of plastic waste. Subsequently, awareness-raising and education were carried out to emphasize the importance of plastic waste management and the benefits of utilizing Ecobricks as a solution that they can independently undertake. In the implementation of this community engagement project, training and technical guidance were provided to ensure that the community could correctly and safely produce Ecobricks. Collaboration with the village government and local environmental organizations strengthened support and understanding of the significance of reducing plastic waste. Regular monitoring and evaluation were conducted to measure the program's impact and enhance its effectiveness. The results of this community engagement initiative showed an increase in community awareness about plastic waste and the benefits of using Ecobricks as an alternative solution. The community of Desa Kajen actively participated in producing Ecobricks and used them for various local development needs. Involvement of the village government and collaboration with relevant institutions opened opportunities for program expansion and the development of sustainable solutions.

Abstract

Ecoenzymes use cheap and easy-to-obtain raw materials, especially in the household environment. The fermentation process, which takes up to three months, is quite a long time. However, the resulting solution has many benefits, especially for health. In the process alone, it can produce gas O3 (Ozone). This gas is needed by the earth for the sustainability of the ecosystem. Ecoenzyme solution when mixed with water, will react and can produce a liquid that can be used for cleaning. Starting from floor cleaners, clothes, bath soap, agricultural medicines and so on. This solution when mixed to water the plants will produce fruit and better yields. In addition, this solution can also be used to repel pests in the fields, such as insects, birds and so on. Another benefit is that if the organic waste is used after fermentation, it can be used for organic fertilizer. The benefits of ecoenzymes apart from being environmentally friendly can also generate economic value for the people of Pencangakan Village, Adiwena District, Tegal Regency. Abstract

The Sedekah Garbage and Used Cooking Oil movement is a campaign effort carried out to instill changes in people's behavior to process waste with a religious approach. This study aims to determine the implementation of the Garbage Alms Movement and used cooking oil as an effort to build cultural awareness of the environment. In this study the method used is qualitative with a case study approach. Data analysis techniques use the Miles and Huberman models. Data collection was carried out by means of observation, interviews and documentation. The theoretical foundation in this study is the environmental theology theory of Seyyed Hossein Nasr. The results of the research are the implementation of the Garbage Alms Movement and used cooking oil including outreach, collection of waste from the community, sorting, weighing and reporting. Through the implementation of the Alms Movement and Waste Used Oil Movement, there are types of environmental awareness, namely mechanical awareness and organic awareness. Movement Implementation. Garbage Alms can build environmental awareness in the form of benefits received by people in need, namely the provision of social assistance, and economic empowerment.

Abstract

Heavy metals are one of dozens of materials that cannot be decomposed in nature and can enter the environment through wastewater or other non-organic waste. Several methods are commonly used to remove heavy metals such as: reverse osmosis, chemical deposition, ion exchange, membrane processes, evaporation and solvent extraction, but most of these methods have disadvantages such as equipment and production costs which are also not cheap. Therefore, through this community service, KKN students and DPL invite the local community to map environmental problems, and together solve problems that the community can realize independently and sustainably, namely by cultivating earthworms. This solution is considered environmentally friendly, easy to implement, not high cost and can be an additional income for the local community. This Community Service uses a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach. Which is oriented towards community empowerment. It is the community that has the main role in realizing the problem of potential soil contamination, and the additional supply of snakehead fish feed. The results of this community service stated that some residents, especially snakehead fish breeders, were happy because they were supported by other additional food for their snakehead fish cultivation. Abstract

One of the problems that cannot be solved in Indonesia is the way waste is processed, for example the problem in Gembong Kulon Village. This is because the final disposal site (TPA) is quite far from residential areas. The aim of holding this waste education is to provide knowledge about how to process and utilize inorganic waste (plastic) into goods of selling value. The research method used is a persuasive lecture or education approach and direct practice on how to collect and sort waste, both organic and inorganic. The output results obtained from this work program regarding environmental education and plastic waste are an increase in students' understanding of waste and how to process it as well as fostering creativity in these students.

Abstract

Garbage is a consequence of human activity. Waste generation will increase along with population growth and community consumption patterns. Processing organic waste requires appropriate technology so that the processed products do not produce waste again. Bioconversion technology using Black Soldier Fly (BSF) maggots can be used to convert organic material so that it has economic potential. Even BSF maggots are able to degrade organic waste faster than other insects. Apart from that, the products produced from processing organic waste by BSF maggots have high economic value. For example, BSF maggots can be a source of protein that can be used as an alternative feed for livestock such as catfish and chickens, and kasgot (maggot former) can be used as an alternative solution to substitute NPK fertilizer from the government. It is hoped that this outreach & training on BSF maggot cultivation will increase the knowledge and skills of training participants to solve environmental problems related to organic waste through bioconversion technology. The implementation method is carried out by lectures/socialization and training. High public enthusiasm and increasing public knowledge, especially mothers, who are the biggest producers of organic waste from their kitchens, achieved 100% in cultivating BSF maggots, which is a measure of success in this training. Thus, the people of Bersole Village have the potential to become a target village for cultivating BSF maggots.

Abstract

Most of the people of Bawah Banjaran Village have businesses in the convection industry. This causes an abundance of patchwork waste. However, this waste cannot be utilized optimally. In the southern part of Batas Banjaran Village there is the Tegal Regency Loka Bina Karya (LBK) office. LBK is an institution under the auspices of the Tegal Regency Social Service. This institution is tasked with protecting, protecting and providing training for people with disabilities in Tegal Regency. People with disabilities are people who need special attention from the government or non-governmental organizations so that they can live a good and decent life. So far, some people have often viewed people with disabilities as people who are unable to live their lives independently, they are often ostracized and even discriminated against. To solve this problem, we KKN Group 7 students held training on making patchwork waste crafts. This training aims to ensure that people with disabilities have skills that are appropriate to their limitations so that they can increase their sense of self-confidence and independence in living their daily lives.

Abstract

The convection industry, which is the economic activity of the majority of Tembok Kidul Village residents, causes an abundance of waste in the form of patchwork that has no use value and is only thrown away for free - it's not uncommon for many to even burn it to reduce the amount of patchwork waste that continues to accumulate day by day. The patchwork itself is waste that belongs to inorganic waste which undergoes a very long decomposition process, with this phenomenon the efforts of students who are carrying out KKN in the area try to make an innovation by making a product with the basic ingredients in the form of patchwork so that the leftover industrial cloth is known as As waste, it can be used to make products that have more use value. It can even become a business opportunity for people who can make good use of it and are able to read a business opportunity. The purpose of this activity is to reduce patchwork waste by making a product that can be useful in everyday life, as well as creating a business opportunity through a product-making training process carried out together with PKK mothers, with the hope that this activity can become lighter the soul of entrepreneurs in the convection sector to be able to make better use of patchwork waste to make it more useful while reducing patchwork waste to then be converted into more useful products. The method we use is community empowerment through training and mentoring by conducting outreach and joint practice of making kesed, heat-resistant mats and briquettes at regular PKK meetings. The conclusion of this activity is the empowerment of the PKK group through training in making doormats, heat-resistant mats, and briquettes from patchwork waste in the Tembok Kidul Village PKK group, Adiwerna District, Tegal Regency, namely increasing knowledge, increasing skills, and improving the attitudes of learning residents.

Abstract

By having a strong Islamic religious style, so that to increase knowledge and attitudes about religious moderation for Muslim teenagers, an interactive and interesting activity is needed, therefore a seminar on religious moderation for teenagers is being held, this activity is part of efforts to prevent the rise of radicalism and intolerance and to find out what kind of scientific paradigm is used to deal with these problems. The existence of religious moderation can provide every individual teenager with the opportunity to determine their right to choose religious practices. During adolescence it is easy for them to make the right choice, which has a positive impact on each teenager. The research method used is a qualitative approach.
