Abstract

The rise of disinformation in the midst of the development of new media is the impact of the lack of digital literacy of the community, especially active users of users. Ahead of the biggest political contestation in Indonesia, namely the 2024 election (Pemilu 2024), the government and society are again faced with the threat of hoaxes related to social, political and governance issues. The number of novice voters that will dominate is in fact related to the potential for more massive spread of hoaxes in cyberspace. The lack of digital literacy insights from first-time voters familiar with the internet and new media complicates efforts to disinfect and prevent disinformation. Abstract

Listening skills are an essential foundation for students in language learning, particularly in Arabic. These listening skills encompass the ability to comprehend spoken texts as a whole and the ability to focus on specific details, such as understanding information from speakers related to the details of what is conveyed, who is conveying it, when something happened, why something can occur, and how something can happen. Information and communication technology (ICT) is how technology is used to access, manage, and communicate information. This research employs qualitative descriptive methods with a literature review. Additionally, engaged observation has been conducted. In this era, the utilization of ICT is highly crucial, especially in the field of education. Many platforms can be used for online learning, such as zoom meetings, google meet, and learning management systems (LMS). In Arabic language listening instruction, the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is highly effective. This is because students will experience the same level of comfort as they would when learning in a language lab or computer lab. This Arabic language listening instruction greatly aids students in enhancing one of the language skills they need to improve, which is listening skill.

Abstract

This study analyzes the meaning relations in the lyrics of “Cakra Kostrad” and “Hymne Kostrad,” which construct a narrative that reinforces the identity, fighting spirit, and noble values of Kostrad soldiers. The song lyrics are not merely a medium of expression but also serve to build an emotional bond between Kostrad members and their mission to safeguard the sovereignty of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI). This research uses a qualitative approach with content analysis techniques to explore the symbols, themes, and values contained in the lyrics of “Cakra Kostrad” and “Hymne Kostrad.” The analysis is conducted in three stages: data reduction (identifying symbols, phrases, and keywords), categorization of main themes such as patriotism, sacrifice, and identity, and interpretation of meaning by linking them to military values and distinct symbols like "cakra" and the phrase "one soul for the nation." The results show that the lyrics of “Hymne Kostrad” and “Cakra Kostrad” contain both connotative and denotative meanings.

Abstract

The phenomenon of the rise of online loan advertisements in Indonesia shows a close relationship between the use of language and its influence on people's behavior. This study aims to analyze the influence of language used in online loan advertisements on the increasing trend of online loans in Indonesia. In addition, this study also aims to distinguish the characteristics of language used in legal online loan advertisements under the supervision of the Financial Services Authority (OJK) and illegal ones. With a qualitative-descriptive approach, this study explores how digital technology influences the language style in online loan advertisements and its implications for people's decisions. The results show that online loan advertisements use persuasive language strategies, often emphasizing convenience, speed, and flexibility, but differ in terms of legality. The language in legal advertisements tends to be more transparent and informative, while in illegal advertisements it is more manipulative and misleading. This study is expected to contribute to the understanding of the relationship between language, digital technology, and consumer behavior in the context of the philosophy of language.
