Abstract

TB is one of the 10 causes of death and the primary cause of infectious agents in the world. Some of the influencing factors are behavioral factors, namely knowledge, attitude and behavior in the implementation of routine medication compliance. The method used was observational descriptive with 25 participants who were patients at Imelda Workers' Hospital in Medan. The PkM team provided the material in question: 1) Definition of tuberculosis disease, 2) health education about dietary fulfillment 3) how to regulate the diet of tuberculosis sufferers, 4) increasing knowledge and skills. After the implementation of the activity: 1) Definition of tuberculosis (TB) for the majority of good as many as 25 people, 2) health education about the fulfillment of the good majority diet for 20 people, 3) how to manage the diet of the majority of people with tuberculosis as many as 16 people, 4) improvement of knowledge of tuberculosis treatment for the majority of good as many as 21 people. The increase in knowledge and skills of participants is because the community has a great desire to treat and prevent dengue fever in family members at home.

Abstract

Mental and spiritual development plays a vital role in the rehabilitation process of inmates, as it contributes to character formation, emotional stability, and behavioral change during incarceration. A healthy spiritual condition strengthens faith, fosters self-awareness, and encourages positive attitudes that support successful social reintegration after release. This study aims to examine the importance of mental and spiritual development for inmates at Banyuwangi Prison and to describe the urgency of implementing such programs within correctional institutions. The study employed a qualitative approach using literature review, supported by observations and verbal guidance activities conducted in the prison environment. Relevant literature and previous studies were analyzed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the implementation and significance of mental and spiritual development programs for inmates. The findings indicate that mental and spiritual guidance positively influences inmates by strengthening faith, improving emotional well-being, encouraging self-reflection, and promoting discipline and responsible behavior. These programs also help inmates develop positive values that support harmonious interactions with fellow inmates, correctional officers, and society after completing their sentences. The study concludes that mental and spiritual development constitutes an essential component of the correctional system and should be implemented consistently through structured and sustainable programs to foster inmates’ personal transformation and prepare them for successful reintegration into society.

Abstract

The Entrepreneurship Development Program (PPK) is a program aimed at strengthening the entrepreneurial capacity of university students and alumni through training, mentoring, and business development activities to create independent and sustainable entrepreneurs. The program provides opportunities for students and alumni of Politeknik Negeri Bengkalis to transform their knowledge, skills, and competencies into valuable business opportunities. The implementation of PPK also contributes to the development of an entrepreneurial ecosystem within higher education institutions by strengthening creativity, innovation, and business management capabilities. Program participants receive guidance in identifying business opportunities, developing products and services, improving marketing strategies, and managing business operations and finances. The results indicate that PPK has successfully encouraged the emergence and development of new entrepreneurs in various business sectors, including information technology, surveying services, film production, transportation, livestock, culinary businesses, beverages, and garment production. Several businesses developed through the program include D’Aerial Survey Indonesia, OO Films, OO Transport, Catfish Farming, Es Teh Nusantara, Famous Coffee and Tea, Takoyaki Bengkalis, and LT Konveksi. Therefore, PPK serves as a platform for entrepreneurial development and a catalyst for creating young entrepreneurs who are independent, innovative, and capable of contributing to local economic growth in Bengkalis Regency.

Abstract

The teaching of the Bible about sin and repentance to Sunday School children at GKSI Filadelfia Rengas Kapuas is a ministry program aimed at introducing Christian faith values from an early age. Children need to be guided to understand the meaning of sin as a violation of God's will and the importance of repentance in their lives. This ministry program is carried out through systematic Bible teaching using several learning methods, such as material presentation, interactive discussions, and various creative activities adjusted to the children's level of understanding. Through these methods, children are encouraged to understand the concepts of sin and repentance in a simple and meaningful way. The expected outcome of this ministry is that the Sunday School children at GKSI Filadelfia Rengas Kapuas will gain a better understanding of the meaning of sin and repentance, so that they are able to recognize actions, words, and attitudes that are not in accordance with God’s will, and learn to live a life of repentance in their daily lives.

Abstract

The role of the pastor is crucial in fostering faith growth within the church, particularly as the faith of Christians has begun to wane in modern times. Many Christians today—both adults and children—display indifference toward their faith in Jesus Christ. This study aims to describe the role of the pastor in nurturing the faith of the congregation at the Dayak Borneo Antajam (GDB) Church. To ensure accurate results, a qualitative research method was employed, utilizing a literature review alongside data collection through observation and documentation. The findings indicate that the more actively the pastor plays a role in nurturing the congregation's faith, the more that faith becomes rooted, grows, and bears fruit in Jesus Christ. The study concludes that the pastor at GDB Antajam has played a vital role in fostering the congregation's faith and continues to provide ongoing faith development for the members of the church.

Abstract

The Dayak Borneo Church is a church founded by Dayak people located in Tebing Tinggi Hamlet, Hilir Kantor Village, Ngabang District, Landak Regency, West Kalimantan Province, where the founder of the Dayak Borneo Zebaoth Ngabang Church is named Rev. Markus Amid, he is a person who loves service so much that he founded many churches throughout West Kalimantan, this church was founded to serve the congregation and children who do not yet understand about Christ. The Dayak Borneo Church strives to build the faith of the congregation and provide a sense of responsibility as Christians to serve God. The Dayak Borneo Church also uses an approach that is close to the life of the Dayak people, namely by combining Christian teachings and cultural values and Dayak customs. This makes the church's teachings easier to understand and accept by the congregation. The Dayak Borneo church service also has an impact on the congregation and even Sunday school children to build their character and even their faith to serve, and make them believe in themselves, because the purpose of the research is to explain the role of Sunday school teachers in building their character and faith so that they have good character and are useful for many people, even themselves and the surrounding community.

Abstract

Early childhood is in the golden age phase, which serves as the foundation for character development throughout life. Therefore, the role of early childhood education (ECE) teachers is strategic and irreplaceable by any media or technology. This article aims to conceptually examine the role of teachers in character building among young children at Holy Kids Kabile Early Childhood Education Center, while also identifying the challenges they face and the efforts that can be made to overcome them. This study employs a library research method with a descriptive qualitative approach, using books, scientific journals, and relevant educational regulations as its primary sources. The findings indicate that teachers play significant roles as role models, facilitators, designers of habituation activities, and mediators between children and parents in instilling character values such as honesty, discipline, responsibility, tolerance, and empathy. The challenges include limited time and teacher competencies, low parental involvement, the influence of gadgets and digital media, inadequate learning facilities, and uneven understanding of character education methods appropriate to children's developmental stages. Efforts to address these challenges include strengthening teachers' competencies, enhancing school-family partnerships, consistently implementing habituation and role-modeling methods, utilizing varied learning media, and creating a conducive school environment. This study recommends that Holy Kids Kabile Early Childhood Education Center develop a structured character education program involving all educational stakeholders.

Abstract

Ministry practice provides theology students with an opportunity to apply theological knowledge in church ministry. This study aims to describe the role of Sunday School teachers in introducing salvation in Christ to children at GKSI Ebenhaezer Tabai, Beringkai Raya Village, Sekadau Hilir District, Sekadau Regency. The ministry takes place in a community where most residents work as farmers, with limitations in providing children's spiritual nurture. This study employed a descriptive qualitative method with a theological approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and the author's involvement in Sunday School ministry. The subjects were seven children participating in spiritual nurture activities at GKSI Ebenhaezer Tabai. The findings show that Sunday School teachers play an important role in introducing salvation in Christ through teaching God's Word, Bible stories, prayer, worship, scripture memorization, and Christian character building. These activities help children understand God's love, the saving work of Jesus Christ, and Christian values. However, challenges include limited learning resources, low participation, and insufficient parental support. Therefore, cooperation among the church, families, and Sunday School teachers is essential to strengthen children's faith and support optimal, Christ-centered spiritual growth.
