Abstract

This study aims to find out: (1) whether there is a genetic diversity on M.tuberculosis isolat clinic that is sensitif to INH dan rifampisin with RAPD method, and (2) the description of its polimorfism diferentiation. The research samples include 5 Mycobacteriun tuberculosis isolate that is sensitive to INH and rifampisin. The study includes DNA extraction using Wizard Genom DNA purification method, amplification using 5 primer: A-2 (5 TGCCGAGTCG 3 , 70% G+C ), OPN-09 ( 5TGCCGGCTTG 3, 70% G+C), N-9 (5 TGCCGGCTTG 3, 70% G+C), BG-66 (5CGACGCTGCG 3, 80% G+C) , 80% G+C), U-19 ( 5 GTCAGTGCGG 3, 70% G+C), and electroforesis. The isolat genetic diversity was analysed by using Dendro Unweighted Pair Group Method of Aritmethic (UPGMA) : A Dendogram Construction Utility method from Dr. Santi GarciaValive/2009. The results show that there is a genetic diversity on the 5 isolate Mycobacterium tuberculosis that are sensitive to INH and rifampisin, amplified with 5 primer. The size of amplified DNA bands is between 200-1100bp. The genetic variation can be seen in the number of fragments, the size of fragments and the number of polimorfik bands. The polimorfik percentage of the isolate is between 66.67% - 100%, or 80.28 in average. The UPGMA analysis results in a dendogram with a group cooficient of 0 40% or a diversity of 60 100%. Abstract

Isolation and Characterization of Alkaloid Compounds from Plant Sirsak (Annona muricata Linn.) Seeds. Have done the isolation and characterization of the alkaloid content in seeds of Sirsak (A muricata Linn) plant. Isolation was performed with the maceration extraction by using methanol solvent. Condensed methanol extracts fractionated successively with n-hexane and ethyl acetate. Further separation process that is focused on condensed methanol extract using column chromatography, as used silica gel stationary phase and mobile phase was a mixture of n-hexane: ethyl acetate, and ethyl acetate: methanol with gradient have. Purity of the isolates obtained was tested using Thin Layer Chromatography. Isolates were further characterized using UV-Vis and Infrared. The results of spectroscopic analysis of UV-Vis and Infrared (IR) suggested that isolates is a class of alkaloid compound with Alkaloids-Indole type that have characteristics of functional groups N-H, aliphatic C-H, C-N, C=C aliphatic, C=O, =C-H aromatic and provide wavelength spectra max 282.5 nm and 237.5 nm.

Abstract

Metalorganic frameworks (MOFs) which are constructed from metal ions or metal ion clusters and bridging organic linkers, have recently emerged as an important family of porous materials due to their unique structural and functional properties. This review provides the recent progress in synthesizing MOF structures. In this review, we present some methods of the inorganic synthesis chemistry for obtaining good crystal of MOF. We emphasize on the use of Microwave Assisted Solvothermal Synthesis due to some benefits it has, some of which are the efficiency of energy and time saving which are crucial for large scale application. Crystal Engineering as novel discipline in inorganic chemistry is also pertained by defining some basic terms generally used and its way in predicting MOF structures. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know factors influencing the performance of midwives in Bone Bolango Regency in 2010. The type of this research is quantitative with cross sectional approach. The samples of this research were all midwives both goverment employees and temporary employees in Bone Bolango Regency using 58 samples. The date were analyzed by using SPSS with chi square test and logistic regression. The result show that there are influences between age, motivation, family, organization, superviision and career development on midwives performance. Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian hubungan pengetahuan dan sikap suami tentang KB Pria di provinsi Gorontalo. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi hubungan pengetahuan dan sikap suami tentang kontrasepsi pria di Provinsi Gorontalo. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif analitik dengan besar sampel 120 orang dengan metode pengambilan sampel purposifl sampling. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini berupa kuesioner yag meliputi data demografi, kuesioner pengetahuan dan sikap. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebanyak 64,2% responden pria dengan umur ? 31 tahun, 78,3% responden dengan jumlah anak kurang dari atau sama dengan 3 orang. Pendidikan responden diperoleh sebanyak 54,2% dengan jenjang pendidikan lanjutan, dan sebanyak 73,3% pendapatan responden di atas Rp. 400000,-. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa sebanyak 74,2% suami memiliki pengetahuan tinggi, sebanyak 55% suami memiliki sikap positif terhadap kontrasepsi pria. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara pengetahuan dengan sikap suami terhadap kontrasepsi pria. Oleh karena itu, kepada petugas kesehatan setempat dapat meningkatkan pemberian informasi kepada para suami tentang kontrasepsi pria melalui penyuluhan-penyuluhan sehingga meningkatkan pengetahuan mereka.

Abstract

In the present work, the process of chrom(III)-ion adsorption by S. spontaneum biomass have been investigated. This investigation intend to determinate capacity of adsorption the biomass for chrom(III) ion in water. A weight of 1 g biomass was put ionto 10 ppm of the metal-ion solution whose pH varied from 4.0 to 6.0. Then, these solutions were stirred for 120 minutes. After filtering, the metalion concentration in the filtrate was determined by atomic absorption spectrometry. The amount of ion adsorbed by the biomass was taken as the difference between the initial and final concentration of the solution. Further, the same method was carried out to the varied concentration. The result showed, the optimum pH for metal-ion adsorption by the biomass is 5.5, having adsorption value 0.128 mg/g. Capacity of khrom(III)-ion adsorption was obtained by varied concentration, yielded value of 0.318 mg/g. Key word: S. spontaneum, biomass, adsorption, spectrometry

Abstract

It Has been studied the preparation of Titania thin film on glass plate by dip-coating method and their photocatalityc activity test in peat swamp water. This study is performed by using TIP as precursor and DEA as aditive in isopropanol. The addition of DEA affect the stability of titania solution. The titania thin film was made by dip-coating method on glass plate. The glass plate was coated on to titania solution, then dryed at 110 C for 10 minute and at 500 C for 30 minute. The titania coating on the glass plate was made by varying the titania concentration : 0,5 M ; 0,75 M and 1,0 M. Analiyzing of the products by XRD shown that the titania coating on the glass plate are in anatase form. By visual analysis an photo optic, the best film on the glass plate that is coated with titania 0,5 M solution. Based on the glass plate that is coated with titania 1,0 M solution with peat swamp water shown relative good (68,26%) fot the irradiation during 24 hours.

Abstract

Copper based catalysts for steam reforming methanol improve production methanol conversion on low temperature and have low CO selectivity. Commonly synthesis catalysts for steam reforming of methanol were using coprecipitation and impregnation method. In this research were synthesis catalysts Cu/CeO2/Al2O3 with different compo-sition is 20%:5%:75%, this catalysts were synthesis hydrothermal method at pressure and high temperature. Presence species CuO, CeO2 and Al2O3 confirm using X-ray diffraction. Images SEM show that catalyst particles are nanofiber with dimension panjang 21 nm x 127 nm x 1,32 ?m. Catalytic activity test for steam reforming of methanol reaction on a micro reactor shows 92% conversion at 300C and 1 atm. In this catalyst no CO detected on reaction products. Keywords : hydrogen, heterogen catalysts, methanol steam reforming metanol Abstrak: Katalis berbasis tembaga yang digunakan dalam reaksi reformasi kukus metanol dikembangkan untuk menghasilkan konversi metanol yang tinggi dengan suhu suhu operasi rendah serta menghasilkan selektifitas CO yang rendah. Umumnya sintesis katalis untuk reaksi reformasi kukus metanol ini menggunakan metode impregnasi dan metode presipitasi. Pada penelitian ini telah disintesis katalis Cu/CeO2/Al2O3 dengan komposisi 20%:5%:75%, katalis ini disintesis menggunakan metode hidrotermal pada kondisi tekanan dan suhu tinggi. Keberadaan spesi-spesi CuO, CeO2 dan Al2O3 dikonfirmasi menggunakan metode difraksi sinar-X (XRD). SEM menunjukkan bentuk partikel katalis berupa nanofiber dengan ukuran panjang 1,32 ?m, lebar 127 nm dan tebal 21 nm, katalis ini sebaran partikelnya lebih homogen. Pengujian aktivitas kedua katalis melalui reaksi reformasi kukus metanol menggunakan reaktor mikro, diperoleh persen konversi 92% pada suhu reaksi 300C dan tekanan 1 atm. Produk reaksinya pada reaksi reformasi kukus metanol tidak mengandung gas CO. Kata kunci : hidrogen, katalis heterogen, metanol, steam reforming metanol

Abstract

We made the design for the rice husk gasifier stove with the supply air using a blower. Retrieved reactor diameter is 15 cm and height 70 cm. The maximum operating time obtained is 43 minutes with maximum efficiency approaching 15%. Air supply during the operation of the furnace must be set up to fire over. Comparing with the furnace designed to research conducted by Belonio, 2005, the results was close enough, especially for the operating time and efficiency tools. The problem in this design is fan supplied air supply has current greater than the Belonios design.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is one of the health problem in community. The research was aimed to analysis the hypoglycemic effect of extract Mullberry leaves in blood glucose levels diabetic rats. Completely Randomized Design was used in this research. 45 rats Sprague dawley aged 70 days were administered alloxan by intraperitonial (125 mg/kg body weight) to induced diabetes. Treatment randomly assigned to: (MKA) an extract water provided by ripe mulberry dry leaves, (MSA) an extract water provided by green mulberry fresh leaves, (MSL) an extract hexane provided by green mulberry fresh leaves, (TSA) an extract water provided by green mulberry fresh leaves, (TSL) an extract hexane provided by ripe mulberry fresh leaves, (MKL) an extract hexane provided by ripe mulberry dry leaves,(TKL) an extract hexane provided by ripe mulberry dry leaves), (TKA) an extract water provided by ripe mulberry dry leaves, and control without extract. Effect of extracts from nine treatment on blood glucose levels of diabetic rats was determined at various time interval for 1,3,5 hour after oral administration of the extract at 0,01 mg dose /g body weight rat.
