Abstract

nstilling religious values within the family environment is a crucial aspect in shaping a child's character and personality from an early age. This study aims to determine the role of parents in instilling religious values in the Alpha generation in Dasan Baru Hamlet, Suralaga District, and identify various challenges faced in its implementation. This study uses a qualitative approach with field research. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews, observations, and observations. Data analysis techniques used the Miles and Huberman interactive data analysis model. The results of the study indicate that parents play an important role in the formation of children's religious character through role models, habituation to practicing religious teachings, the use of digital technology as a medium for religious education, supervision of digital activities, and providing motivation and support in worship. On the other hand, the process of instilling religious values still faces several challenges, including low parental digital literacy, exposure to negative content, the influence of games and social media, and the rapid flow of information and digital culture that influence children's behavior. Therefore, synergy between families and the wise use of technology are needed so that the instillation of religious values in the Alpha generation can take place optimally amidst the development of the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to develop "Contextual Hijaiyah Cards"—a learning medium that is valid, practical, and effective—to enhance early childhood Quranic literacy at RA Bait Qur’any. Early childhood Quranic literacy encompasses the ability to recognize Hijaiyah letters, name the letters, articulate their sounds simply, distinguish between letters with similar shapes, and recall previously learned letters. Preliminary observations indicated that students' Quranic literacy skills were low because instruction tended to rely on conventional methods with limited media, resulting in a lack of engagement and an inability to optimally foster children's learning involvement. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the Four-D (4D) model, comprising the define, design, develop, and disseminate stages. The research subjects were 20 children from Group B at RA Bait Qur’any. Data were collected through observations, interviews, questionnaires, and Quranic literacy tests, then analyzed using descriptive and quantitative methods, specifically N-Gain analysis and paired t-tests. The results demonstrated that the developed medium achieved a practicality rating of 98% and led to a significant, high-level improvement in the children's Quranic literacy skills within the context of this study. This improvement was evidenced by the significant difference between pretest and posttest scores. Thus, Contextual Hijaiyah Cards are suitable for use as an innovative learning medium to support the development of Quranic literacy in early childhood education.

Abstract

In recent decades, research on meaningful work has gained increasing attention within the fields of organizational psychology and human resource management. Employees today seek not only financial compensation but also meaning, purpose, and value alignment in their work. One factor considered to foster meaningful work is workplace spirituality—an individual's experience of finding meaning in work, building connections with colleagues, and aligning personal values with organizational values. This study conducted a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) of research examining workplace spirituality as an antecedent to meaningful work between 2016 and 2026, adhering to PRISMA guidelines for the identification, screening, and analysis of articles. The review results indicate that workplace spirituality contributes to the formation of meaningful work through several key dimensions: sense of community, inner life, value alignment, self-transcendence, compassion, and mindfulness. Among these dimensions, sense of community and value alignment were the most consistently associated with the development of meaningful work. These findings underscore the importance of organizations creating work environments that support the development of workplace spirituality to enhance employees' perceptions of the meaningfulness of their work. Keywords: workplace spirituality, meaningful work, meaning of work, work spirituality, systematic literature review

Abstract

This article specifically examines the concept of multiculturalism from an Islamic perspective by relating it to the social realities of communities in Papua. Based on a conceptual and normative study, Islam views plurality as sunnatullah, meaning that diversity is part of God’s natural order; therefore, universal values such as justice, brotherhood (ukhuwah insaniyyah), and tolerance constitute important foundations for peaceful social life amid differences. Through an integrative approach that connects the teachings of the Qur’an with the social phenomena of Papuan communities, this study explores the relevance of Islamic multicultural values in addressing diversity. This research employs a qualitative approach using the library research method. Data were collected through the identification and analysis of various relevant literature sources, including scholarly books, national and international journal articles, educational policy documents, and previous studies addressing multicultural education and the socio-cultural context of Papuan communities. Data analysis was conducted descriptively and analytically by examining concepts, theories, and empirical findings to identify the relevance of multicultural education to the social life of Papuan communities. The article further emphasizes that Islam regards diversity not as a source of conflict, but as a means of enriching humanity and strengthening unity amid differences. Therefore, the values of multiculturalism embedded in Islamic teachings can serve as an ethical and spiritual foundation for managing diversity and fostering peaceful, inclusive, and harmonious social relations in Papua.

Abstract

The development of the digital ecosystem has changed the way Generation Z acquires knowledge, communicates, builds identity, and understands religious values. This study aims to analyze the strategy of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in the digital ecosystem and formulate a conceptual framework that integrates the roles of madrasahs, Islamic boarding schools, teachers, families, and digital spaces in the formation of the religious character of Generation Z. The study used a qualitative approach with library research methods through literature synthesis of relevant scientific articles, books, and academic documents. Data were analyzed using content analysis and thematic synthesis to identify patterns, themes, gaps, and relationships between research findings. The results of the study indicate that the formation of the religious character of Generation Z requires the integration of religious values and culture, the role model of teachers/kyai, habituation, interactive and contextual PAI learning, digital-religious literacy, religious digital citizenship, and the involvement of families and digital communities. Madrasahs and Islamic boarding schools serve as the foundation for internalizing values, while technology becomes a supporting space and actualization of character. The study resulted in a PAI-Madrasah-Pesantren-Digital framework that places Islamic values as the foundation, teachers/kyai as role models and mentors, PAI as a space for internalization, and digital literacy as an instrument for strengthening character. Conclusion: Religious character education for Generation Z cannot be achieved solely through Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning in the classroom, but requires an integrated educational ecosystem between madrasas, Islamic boarding schools, families, and digital spaces so that Islamic values can be applied critically, ethically, adaptively, and sustainably.
