Abstract

This article conceptually examines the application of the CIPP model to the evaluation of religious counseling at the Kupang Women's Prison. Although it is the responsibility of religious counselors, in practice, evaluations are still administrative and unstructured, making it difficult to objectively measure and assess the results. This study employed a qualitative approach with content analysis. As a result, the CIPP conceptual framework offers a more comprehensive and systematic approach that addresses the needs of inmates. Through context evaluation, it can be determined whether the religious counseling program responds to the spiritual and moral needs of inmates. Through input evaluation, the quality of the counselors, counseling materials, methods and approaches, and media used can be measured and assessed. Through process evaluation, it can be determined whether religious counseling takes place through in-depth and personal interactions. Through outcome evaluation, it can be determined whether religious counseling leads to changes in inmates' religious attitudes and behaviors. Therefore, this study recommends the implementation of the CIPP model in the evaluation of religious counseling activities.

Abstract

Practical activities are a fun and effective way to help students understand concepts in science lessons, especially the material on changes in state of matter. This study aims to see how simple practicals can be used as a concrete learning tool in understanding various processes of changes in state of matter such as melting, freezing, sublimation, evaporation, condensation, and crystallization. The practicals were carried out by PGSD students using tools and materials that are easily found in everyday life, such as ice cubes, water, candles, camphor, and small containers. During the activity, students made direct observations of changes in state of matter and recorded the time of the changes systematically. The results of the practicals showed that students found it easier to understand the process of changes in matter when they were directly involved in the experimental activities. The learning process becomes more enjoyable, not only through theory, but also through real-life experiences that they can see and feel for themselves. Students also become more active in discussions, work collaboratively in groups, and are able to relate their observations to events they frequently encounter in their daily lives. Thus, this simple lab exercise is not only beneficial for strengthening understanding of scientific concepts but also fosters curiosity, logical thinking skills, and a scientific attitude in students. This type of lab exercise is highly recommended for science learning because it has been proven to make the learning process more lively, enjoyable, and meaningful.

Abstract

Abstract

Makanan is one of the basic human needs that must be guaranteed in terms of safety and health. However, in reality, many foods on the market still contain hazardous substances such as formalin, borax, and textile dyes. This issue raises concerns about the long-term impacts on public health. This study aims to comprehensively examine the types of harmful substances often found in food, their health effects, and control efforts. The research uses a literature study method by collecting information from scientific journals, BPOM data, and other credible sources. The results show that harmful substances are commonly found in processed foods, school snacks, and products without official distribution permits. In addition to affecting the digestive system, prolonged consumption of these substances can lead to internal organ damage and even cancer. This study recommends the need for massive public education and strengthened government supervision to ensure better food safety in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the differences between natural and artificial vegetative propagation in plants through simple experiments conducted in elementary schools. The research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. Data collection techniques included observation and documentation of students' practical activities. The results revealed fundamental differences between natural and artificial vegetative propagation. Natural vegetative propagation occurs without human intervention, as seen in bulbs, shoots, and rhizomes, while artificial vegetative propagation involves human intervention, such as grafting, cutting, and budding. The experimental activities demonstrated that hands-on learning enhances students' understanding of science concepts in a more contextual and meaningful manner. This study also contributes to the application of differentiated instruction and scientific approaches in primary education.

Abstract

This study aims to provide a comprehensive explanation of the process, types, benefits, and advantages and disadvantages of vegetative reproduction in plants, both naturally occurring and assisted by humans. This study uses a literature review method, in which all data is collected from junior high and high school biology textbooks, scientific education journals, online articles, and teacher teaching modules. The information obtained was then analyzed and systematically organized to make it easily understandable for students and the general public. The results of the study indicate that vegetative reproduction is an effective method for plants to multiply without seeds. Naturally, this reproduction occurs through plant parts such as roots, stems, and leaves, for example in ginger, onions, or bananas. Artificially, humans utilize techniques such as cuttings, grafting, budding, layering, and rooting to accelerate the propagation of superior plants. Vegetative reproduction has advantages such as a faster process, plants that are identical to their parents, independence from seasonal constraints, and suitability for maintaining the quality of superior plants. However, this method also has drawbacks, including the inability to produce new variations, the risk of transmitting diseases from the parent to the offspring, and not all plants can be propagated using this method. This study concludes that knowledge about vegetative propagation is very important to be introduced early on because it is beneficial for agriculture, education, and daily life, especially in planting and gardening activities.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has changed the learning paradigm, including the teaching of wave material in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) in elementary schools. This study aims to identify types of learning media, analyze their characteristics, and analyze their effectiveness in helping students understand the concept of waves. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach with a literature review method. Data were obtained from ten relevant scientific literature sources and analyzed using content and thematic analysis techniques. The results indicate that technology-based media such as interactive animated videos, Phet simulations, Augmented Reality (AR), and interactive Google Slides are highly effective in enhancing student understanding due to their visual, exploratory, and interactive nature. In contrast, conventional media such as posters and student worksheets are considered less effective due to their limitations in facilitating active student participation. This study recommends that teachers continue to develop skills in selecting and creating contextual and innovative learning media. Support from educational institutions is also crucial in providing facilities and training to make IPAS learning more engaging and meaningful.
