Abstract

This study aims to analyze the novel Satu Per Tiga by Ryandi Rachman using an expressive approach. This approach views literary works as reflections of the author's inner expression, experiences, and life perspectives. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with descriptive analysis techniques. The research data consists of text excerpts from the novel that contain elements of the author's expression, such as themes, characters, language style, and symbols. The results of the analysis show that the novel Satu Per Tiga represents themes of self-fragmentation, the search for life's meaning, as well as strong values of friendship and independence. The characters in the novel are depicted with psychological complexity that reflects human emotional struggles. The simple, casual, and reflective language style reinforces the impression that this novel is an outpouring of the author's personal expression. Thus, the expressive approach helps readers understand the close relationship between the literary work

Abstract

Cultural acculturation refers to a dynamic process of interaction between Islamic values and local cultural traditions without eliminating the fundamental characteristics of each. In the context of Islamic Religious Education (IRE), cultural acculturation serves as a contextual learning approach that connects religious teachings with students’ social and cultural experiences. This article aims to examine the concept of cultural acculturation and its implementation in IRE learning as an effort to strengthen moderate and inclusive Islamic values. The research employs a library research method by analyzing relevant academic sources, including scholarly books, journal articles, and related documents. The findings indicate that integrating local cultural elements into IRE learning enhances religious understanding, fosters tolerance, and facilitates the internalization of Islamic values in students’ daily lives. Furthermore, cultural acculturation in IRE contributes to the development of students’ religious character, cultural awareness, and adaptability within a multicultural society. Therefore, cultural acculturation can be considered an effective learning strategy in Islamic Religious Education that aligns with contemporary socio-cultural developments.

Abstract

Sastra memiliki peran penting sebagai sarana edukasi yang mampu memberikan wawasan dan pengetahuan kepada pembacanya. Novel Dompet Ayah Sepatu Ibu karya J.S. Khairen merupakan karya sastra yang menyajikan realitas kehidupan keluarga melalui kisah sederhana yang sarat makna. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis novel tersebut menggunakan pendekatan ekspresif guna mengungkap ekspresi emosional dan pengalaman pengarang yang tercermin dalam karya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pembacaan mendalam terhadap teks novel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa novel ini merepresentasikan pandangan pengarang mengenai pengorbanan orang tua, nilai keluarga, dan makna kehidupan yang disampaikan melalui tokoh, alur, dan peristiwa dalam cerita.

Abstract

Judicial review of regulations below statutes by the Supreme Court of Indonesia plays a crucial role in safeguarding the hierarchy of laws and controlling executive regulations that have broad public impact. However, the procedural design of such judicial review has long been characterized by closed, document-based mechanisms with limited participation and transparency, raising concerns regarding the fulfillment of open justice and due process of law as minimum requirements for the legitimacy of erga omnes decisions. This study aims to examine whether the procedural design and practice of judicial review at the Supreme Court have met these principles and to formulate rational and constitutional procedural reforms without altering the Court’s authority. This research employs normative legal research methods using statutory, conceptual, and case-based approaches, supported by content analysis of selected judicial review decisions. The findings reveal that although procedural requirements are formally satisfied, judicial review at the Supreme Court remains procedurally minimalistic, non-deliberative, and insufficiently transparent, resulting in limited procedural justice and weakened normative legitimacy. To address this deficit, the study proposes procedural reforms consisting of limited open hearings, mandatory written and selective oral hearings, and minimum standards of legal reasoning, which can be implemented through amendments to Supreme Court Regulations and internal institutional policies. This study contributes to constitutional law scholarship by shifting the focus of judicial review discourse from authority-based debates to procedural legitimacy and demonstrates that strengthening due process and procedural openness is essential to enhancing the accountability and rationality of judicial review without expanding judicial power. Future research is encouraged to integrate empirical approaches to assess the effectiveness of procedural reforms and their impact on public trust in the judiciary.

Abstract

Cyst disease does not only affect patients physically, but also triggers psychological and spiritual problems such as anxiety, fear of medical procedures, emotional stress, and a crisis of life meaning during treatment. This condition indicates that cyst management should not focus solely on medical aspects, but also requires comprehensive support that addresses patients inner well-being. This study aims to analyze the role of holistic counseling as spiritual support for cyst patients at RSUD Banyumas, including its implementation and its impact on patients inner peace and spiritual resilience. This research employed a descriptive qualitative method using a case study approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and a review of relevant literature related to holistic counseling services and spiritual support in hospital settings. The findings show that holistic counseling provides positive effects on patients, particularly in helping them achieve emotional calmness, reduce anxiety, increase acceptance of illness, and strengthen hope and motivation to undergo treatment. Holistic counseling also supports patients in finding meaning in their suffering, which contributes to improved psychological and spiritual quality of life. However, the implementation of holistic counseling still faces several challenges, including limited time of health workers, suboptimal integration of spiritual services within the hospital system, and unequal competency among staff in providing spiritual-based counseling.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the poem “Hujan Bulan Juni” by Sapardi Djoko Damono using an objective literary criticism approach. This approach views literary works as autonomous structures whose meanings can be understood through intrinsic elements without considering the author’s background or readers’ responses. The research employs a qualitative descriptive method, with data collected through library research and close reading of the poem. Data analysis focuses on intrinsic elements, including theme, diction, imagery, figurative language, and poetic structure. The findings reveal that “Hujan Bulan Juni” constructs its meaning through the coherence of its intrinsic elements. The theme of sincerity and patience is implicitly conveyed through symbolic diction, personification, and consistent natural imagery. Therefore, this study demonstrates that the poem’s meaning can be objectively interpreted through textual analysis, confirming the relevance of objective literary criticism in the study of Indonesian poetry.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas penggunaan sinonim sebagai alat estetika pada puisi "Hujan Bulan Juni" oleh Sapardi Djoko Damono dengan pendekatan semantik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menggambarkan bagaimana hubungan sinonim, baik secara leksikal maupun kontekstual, digunakan untuk menciptakan keindahan bahasa dan kedalaman makna dalam puisi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif-analitis untuk memahami data yang berkaitan dengan penggunaan sinonim dalam puisi tersebut. Data yang dikumpulkan melalui analisis padan semantik untuk mengungkap kesamaan dan perbedaan nuansa makna antara kata-kata yang bersinonim. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sinonim dalam puisi ini tidak selalu muncul secara eksplisit, melainkan bekerja secara implisit melalui konteks, simbol, dan gambaran. Kata-kata seperti tabah, bijak, dan arif membentuk jaringan makna yang saling berkaitan dengan nilai-nilai seperti sabar, ikhlas, dewasa, dan penuh pengertian. Penggunaan sinonim secara kontekstual tersebut memperkuat suasana yang lirih, reflektif, dan emosional tanpa kehilangan kesederhanaan bahasa. Dengan demikian, sinonim berperan penting sebagai strategi estetika yang memperkaya makna serta menjadi salah satu kekuatan puitis utama dalam puisi "Hujan Bulan Juni".

Abstract

This study aims to explore the use of synonyms in the lyrics of the song "Bertaut" written by Nadin Amizah, and how words with similar meanings are chosen to strengthen meaning and emotional expression. Synonyms are defined as words that have similar meanings, but still differ in nuance, intensity, and context of use. This study applies a qualitative descriptive approach by collecting data through the method of listening and recording synonymous words contained in the lyrics. Analysis is carried out using semantic and cognitive approaches to understand the role of these words in expressing inner experiences, emotional relationships, and poetic messages intended by the songwriter. The findings of this study indicate that the use of synonyms in the lyrics of "Bertaut" is contextual and emotional, not absolute synonyms. Synonymous words not only function as lexical variations, but also as stylistic elements to strengthen emotional nuances, maintain continuity of feelings, and build the depth of the relationship between the narrator and the mother figure, the main focus of the song. The choice of words with similar meanings but different nuances highlights intimacy, warmth, and the power of expression. This research provides insight into how synonyms in song lyrics not only enrich the language but also play a crucial role in the formation of meaning and the enhancement of emotional experiences for listeners.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas idiom mardomu roha dalam bahasa Batak Toba sebagai representasi nilai budaya yang tercermin dalam karya sastra Batak Toba. Idiom mardomu roha secara leksikal bermakna “pikiran bertemu”, namun secara idiomatik mengandung makna keselarasan batin, kesatuan perasaan, dan keharmonisan hubungan sosial. Kajian ini menggunakan pendekatan semantik budaya dengan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Data penelitian bersumber dari karya sastra Batak Toba serta data sekunder berupa buku linguistik, kamus bahasa Batak Toba, dan artikel jurnal ilmiah yang relevan. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui studi kepustakaan, sedangkan analisis data difokuskan pada penafsiran makna idiomatik dan konteks budaya penggunaan idiom mardomu roha. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa idiom mardomu roha digunakan secara idiomatik untuk mengekspresikan nilai kesabaran, pengendalian diri, keikhlasan, tanggung jawab, penerimaan batin, serta keharmonisan sosial dalam berbagai konteks kehidupan, seperti hubungan kekeluargaan, kepemimpinan, dan peristiwa duka, khususnya kematian. Idiom ini merepresentasikan nilai budaya Batak Toba yang berlandaskan filosofi Dalihan Na Tolu, terutama prinsip somba marhula-hula dan manat mardongan tubu. Dengan demikian, idiom mardomu roha berfungsi tidak hanya sebagai unsur kebahasaan, tetapi juga sebagai simbol nilai budaya dan identitas masyarakat Batak Toba dalam karya sastra.

Abstract

The development of globalization actually has a positive and negative impact on moral education. Overcoming the progress of globalization requires limitations so that it is not excessive in following the progress of globalization, especially technology. Therefore, Cynicism is a school of Greek philosophy aimed at obtaining true happiness by rejecting all conventional values. This often happens due to the premise that the morality of today's decline is due to conventional values and also the influence of technological advances and globalization. This caused a significant decline in morale. The purpose of this research is to reveal the relationship between the value of cynicism in the Qur'an in revitalizing morals due to the impact of globalization. This study uses qualitative research with the type of literature review research (library search) using a thematic method (maudhu'i) by collecting verses in the Qur'an related to the concepts of happiness and luck. The results of this study show that the relationship between cynicism and the Qur'an resulting from the terms falaha and fariha is happiness by fulfilling significant primary needs. The value of faith, the value of worship, the value of morals, and the value of social education. As for pursuing morality in the development of globalization, the value that can control human beings is reviewed. If the incoming value is positive, it can produce true happiness. On the other hand, if the incoming value is negative, it cannot produce happiness as the final goal.
