Abstract

Korupsi merupakan permasalahan kompleks yang tidak hanya berdampak pada kerugian ekonomi negara, tetapi juga merusak moralitas, kepercayaan publik, serta kualitas tata kelola pemerintahan di Indonesia. Oleh karena itu, upaya pemberantasan korupsi tidak cukup hanya mengandalkan pendekatan represif melalui penegakan hukum, melainkan juga membutuhkan langkah preventif yang sistematis dan berkelanjutan. Salah satu strategi yang dapat dilakukan adalah melalui pendidikan karakter, khususnya di lingkungan perguruan tinggi sebagai lembaga yang berperan dalam mencetak generasi penerus bangsa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bagaimana pendidikan karakter dapat berkontribusi dalam membangun generasi anti korupsi di perguruan tinggi. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian studi literatur, yang mengkaji berbagai sumber seperti jurnal ilmiah, buku, serta dokumen kebijakan yang relevan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan karakter memiliki peran yang sangat strategis dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai integritas, kejujuran, tanggung jawab, disiplin, serta kepedulian sosial kepada mahasiswa. Nilai-nilai tersebut menjadi fondasi utama dalam membentuk sikap dan perilaku anti korupsi. Implementasi pendidikan karakter di perguruan tinggi dapat dilakukan melalui integrasi dalam kurikulum pembelajaran, penguatan budaya akademik yang berintegritas, kegiatan kokurikuler dan ekstrakurikuler, serta keteladanan dari dosen dan pimpinan institusi. Selain itu, lingkungan kampus yang kondusif dan berlandaskan nilai-nilai etika juga menjadi faktor penting dalam mendukung internalisasi karakter mahasiswa. Dengan pendekatan yang holistik dan berkelanjutan, perguruan tinggi diharapkan mampu mencetak lulusan yang tidak hanya cerdas secara intelektual, tetapi juga memiliki integritas tinggi dan komitmen kuat dalam mencegah serta melawan praktik korupsi di berbagai sektor kehidupan.

Abstract

This study analyzes the denotative and connotative meanings found in the song lyric “You’ll Be in My Heart” by Phil Collins, featured in the Disney movie Tarzan. Using a qualitative descriptive method with a semantic approach based on the theory of Geoffrey Leech, the data were collected through documentation of words, phrases, and sentences in the lyric. The findings show 20 selected data, with 14 indicating denotative meaning and 19 indicating connotative meaning, revealing that many expressions contain both simultaneously. Literal expressions such as “take my hand” and “stop your crying” represent observable actions, while symbolic expressions such as “you’ll be in my heart” and “bond between us” convey emotional attachment, protection, and unconditional love. The study concludes that song lyrics function as literary texts rich in semantic layers, where simple language conveys deep emotional and social messages through the interaction of denotative and connotative meanings.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the denotative and connotative meanings found in the song lyrics of Mirrors by Justin Timberlake. The study applied a descriptive qualitative research design because the data were analyzed in the form of words, phrases, clauses, and sentences taken from the song lyrics. The data source of this study was the official lyrics of Mirrors, released in 2013. The researcher used documentation as the technique of data collection and semantic analysis as the technique of data analysis. The findings showed that both denotative and connotative meanings were found in the lyrics. The researcher identified a total of 55 data, consisting of 22 denotative meanings and 33 connotative meanings. Denotative meanings appeared in words with literal meanings such as mirror, eyes, light, and heart. Meanwhile, connotative meanings were more dominant and appeared in symbolic expressions such as you are my mirror, my other half, and you make me complete, which represent love, identity, unity, and emotional connection. The findings indicate that connotative meaning is more dominant than denotative meaning in the song because the songwriter employs figurative and symbolic language to convey deeper emotional messages. Therefore, song lyrics can be considered an important object of semantic study because they contain rich linguistic meanings and artistic expressions.

Abstract

This study examines lexical ambiguity in English news headlines published in online media, focusing on how ambiguous word choices may lead to different interpretations among readers. Lexical ambiguity occurs when a single word has more than one meaning, especially in context-limited texts such as headlines. The data for this study consist of eight selected headlines taken from The Jakarta Post and BBC News. This study employs a qualitative descriptive method to identify ambiguous words and analyze their possible meanings based on semantic theory. The findings reveal that all selected headlines contain lexical ambiguity, particularly in words such as following, race, summons, post, looms, hears, spike, and alarm. These ambiguities mainly arise due to polysemy and the limited context in headlines. While lexical ambiguity can make headlines more engaging and attention-grabbing, it may also lead to misinterpretation. Therefore, this study emphasizes the importance of understanding lexical ambiguity in order to interpret news headlines more accurately.

Abstract

Al-qardh is a fundamental instrument in Islamic economics grounded in the principle of ta’awun (mutual assistance) and free from riba. This study aims to analyze the concept of Al-qardh based on the normative foundations of the Qur’an and Hadith, as well as its relevance in the modern context. Using a library research method with a content analysis approach to relevant literature, the study finds that Al-qardh is not merely a financial transaction but also a manifestation of moral responsibility and social solidarity. However, a gap exists between its normative ideals and contemporary implementation, particularly in the form of administrative costs and operational constraints. The findings indicate that Al-qardh is based on principles of justice, transparency, and accountability as reflected in Surah Al-Baqarah: 282 and Surah Al-Hadid: 11. Therefore, strengthening institutional frameworks and integrating social Islamic funds are necessary to maintain the social essence of Al-qardh in modern financial systems.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the denotative and connotative meanings in the song lyrics “Anti-Hero” by Taylor Swift. The research applies a qualitative descriptive method, focusing on semantic analysis to interpret the meanings conveyed in the lyrics. The data are collected from the official song lyrics and analyzed based on the theory of meaning proposed by Geoffrey Leech, particularly the distinction between denotative (literal) and connotative (associative) meanings. The findings reveal that the denotative meanings in the song are generally straightforward and reflect the literal interpretation of the words. However, the connotative meanings expose deeper emotional and psychological themes, including self-criticism, insecurity, anxiety, and inner conflict. The lyrics demonstrate how simple expressions can carry complex implied meanings through figurative language and personal reflection. In conclusion, the study shows that connotative meaning plays a dominant role in conveying the overall message of the song. The use of semantic analysis helps uncover the hidden meanings behind the lyrics and provides a deeper understanding of the artist’s expression. This study contributes to the field of Semantics by illustrating how meaning is constructed and interpreted in contemporary song lyrics.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji penerapan Model Meaningful Learning sebagai strategi pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan keterlibatan dan pemahaman siswa secara signifikan. Meaningful Learning merupakan pendekatan pembelajaran yang menekankan keterkaitan antara pengetahuan baru dengan pengetahuan yang telah dimiliki siswa, sehingga proses belajar menjadi lebih bermakna dan mendalam. Pemahaman siswa merupakan indikator penting dalam keberhasilan proses belajar mengajar, namun banyak siswa masih bersikap pasif dalam pembelajaran konvensional. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan strategi pembelajaran inovatif yang mampu meningkatkan kolaborasi dan partisipasi aktif siswa. kerja tim dan evaluasi pembelajaran untuk menciptakan pembelajaran yang bermakna. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru mulai menerapkan langkah-langkah Meaningful Learning, seperti aktivasi pengetahuan awal, pengaitan materi dengan konteks nyata, diskusi kelompok kecil, dan evaluasi reflektif. Model Meaningful Learning memiliki potensi besar untuk diterapkan secara lebih luas guna meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran dan pemahaman siswa secara menyeluruh.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) learning model based on the Love-Based Curriculum (KBC). The main focus of the study is to analyze the role of teachers in integrating KBC values ​​and students' responses to the implementation of this model. The research findings indicate that CIRC is able to increase student engagement cognitively, socially, and emotionally. Although there are variations in implementation in each madrasah, the principles of cooperation, mutual respect, and empathy are successfully internalized in learning activities. The role of teachers as facilitators and social mediators has proven crucial in creating a learning climate that supports the internalization of love values. The main challenges faced are teachers' pedagogical readiness and time constraints that affect the comprehensive implementation of CIRC. This study makes an important contribution to the development of educational practices by emphasizing the importance of cooperative learning that integrates academic and socio-emotional aspects.

Abstract

Artikel ini mengkaji akuntansi teknik sebagai instrumen strategis dalam menutup celah korupsi pada pengelolaan proyek dan sumber daya di sektor publik dan privat. Korupsi tidak hanya disebabkan oleh kelemahan individu, tetapi juga oleh faktor sistemik seperti kurangnya integrasi antara sistem teknis dan keuangan, lemahnya pengendalian internal, serta rendahnya transparansi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif melalui studi literatur, analisis komparatif, dan sintesis praktik terbaik. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa akuntansi teknik yang mengintegrasikan metode rekayasa dan prinsip akuntansi mampu menghasilkan sistem pengendalian yang lebih akurat, berbasis data, dan dapat diverifikasi. Pendekatan seperti cost engineering, value engineering, dan life-cycle costing dapat meminimalkan manipulasi anggaran dan kecurangan, sementara teknologi seperti Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Building Information Modeling (BIM), dan kecerdasan buatan (AI) meningkatkan deteksi dini penyimpangan. Selain itu, kolaborasi lintas fungsi antar pemangku kepentingan memperkuat tata kelola dan pengawasan. Akuntansi teknik juga mendukung transparansi dan akuntabilitas melalui laporan yang memadukan data finansial dan justifikasi teknis. Dengan demikian, akuntansi teknik memiliki potensi besar dalam mencegah korupsi secara sistemik dan berkelanjutan dengan dukungan regulasi, standarisasi, sumber daya manusia yang kompeten, dan pemanfaatan teknologi yang optimal.

Abstract

This study aims to describe, test, and analyze the influence of commitment and the headmaster’s work creativity on teacher performance at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 3 Batang Hari. This study uses a quantitative research method with a survey design that uses questionnaires as a data collection tool. Data analysis uses multiple regression analysis with the help of the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) program. Based on the research results obtained, it can be concluded that commitment has a significant influence on teacher performance, namely t_{count} > t_{table} or 2.571 > 1.724. The headmaster’s work creativity has a significant influence on teacher performance, namely t_{count} > t_{table} or 2.131 > 1.724. The results of the regression coefficient test show that the commitment and work creativity of the headmaster influence teacher performance at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 3 Batang Hari. The percentage contribution of the independent variable X_1 (Commitment) is 54.3% and X_2 (Headmaster’s Work Creativity) is 45.0% toward the dependent variable Y (Teacher Performance), while the remaining 2.1% is influenced or explained by other variables. The conclusion of this study is that Teacher Performance at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 3 Batang Hari is influenced by the variables of Commitment and Headmaster’s Work Creativity.
