Abstract

The narration letters were multiplied in the free verse (free poetry) of its first pioneer in Egypt, the poet Salah Abdel Sabbour, violating the rules of rhyme established by al-Khalil. In the opinion of his followers, this may spoil the unity of the poem's meaning and lead to the corruption of the entire poem. The researchers tried to respond to these old critical opinions by discovering the hidden secrets behind these various rhymes by using stylistic and structural methodologies in addition to literature statistics, to justify the sincerity of the emotion of this new poetry and the extent of its interaction with the conditions of time and place in which the poetry is said. The researchers will apply it in his poetry collection "The Trees of the Night". The stylistic characteristics of these contemporary poems are going to be the proven evidence on the phonetic level in front of the reader. We found that the diversity of the last letter within the poem has enriched the meaning, making the poetry richer in meaning, and at the same time did not diminish the poetic energies.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the religious and cultural views of Rajaa al-Sanea in her novel Banāt Riyad from the perspective of Islamic literature. The novel has garnered both support and rejection from readers since its publication in 2005. The author portrays the characters with a lifestyle like American girls. Not only is the figure's name Westernized, but even the way of dressing and appearance is also very different from the habits of Saudi girls. However, the novelist claims that religious superiority exists in her novel. This research is qualitative. The data collection technique in this study is a documentation technique. This study uses the method of literary criticism from the perspective of Islamic Literature، which paralleles the mission of literary works and Islamic teachings. The criteria for judging and criticizing Islamic literature for works of fiction prioritize noble values and propriety, not freedom of expression. Based on this perspective، the researcher identifies deviations from Islamic teachings contained in the novel. The behavior of the novelists does not reflect the image of Islam. Harassment of religious symbols appears in the dialogue of characters who often use vulgar language. Gentle, beautiful, and polite language is not found in this novel.

Abstract

This study aims to capture an Arabic language immersion program (Mukhayyam al-Lughah al-Arabiyyah) by exploring the significance and meaning it holds for the students in-depth. The research focus extends beyond the impact of this activity on Arabic language proficiency alone, considering various related aspects as well. Utilizing a qualitative approach, this research gathered data through deep interviews with several students, participant observations, and documentation. Findings revealed: 1) Mukhayyam serves as a vital annual program, aiming to introduce Arabic language and culture to new students through immersive learning experiences. Through careful planning, involving student committees and departments, the program ensures the quality of activities and materials. 2) The implementation of Bī’ah Lughawiyah in Mukhayyam emphasizes the importance of creating a language-immersive environment where participants are required to communicate solely in Arabic throughout the program. The strict adherence to language rules, consistent supervision, and involvement of proficient Arabic speakers contribute to its successful establishment, promoting effective language acquisition and communication skills among participants. 3) There is a multifaceted significance of Mukhayyam for students. Uncovering its role in fostering camaraderie, forming and strengthening familial bonds, facilitating self-expression for students, and improving students' soft skills. By providing a platform for meaningful interactions and fostering a familial atmosphere, Mukhayyam contributes significantly to students' holistic academic and non-academic development.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the implementation of the Synchronous Learning Model (SLM) using a Saudi Electronic University (SEU)-based Learning Management System (LMS), the users’ perceptions, as well as its advantages and disadvantages. A mixed method with a Convergent Parallel model was chosen as the research method, using observation, interviews, and questionnaires distributed to 36 students. Afterward, through the interactive analysis of Miles and Huberman's triangulation, it was discovered that the implementation of SLM with SEU-based LMS in Jambi University was successful, though some challenges, including system weaknesses during evaluation and constraints on internet connectivity, were identified. Therefore, it is recommended that SEU provides improvements to the LMS and the internet access could be improved throughout all regions in Indonesia to facilitate effective and efficient technology utilization in the learning process.
