Abstract

This research aims to explore the implementation of the Synchronous Learning Model (SLM) using a Saudi Electronic University (SEU)-based Learning Management System (LMS), the users’ perceptions, as well as its advantages and disadvantages. A mixed method with a Convergent Parallel model was chosen as the research method, using observation, interviews, and questionnaires distributed to 36 students. Afterward, through the interactive analysis of Miles and Huberman's triangulation, it was discovered that the implementation of SLM with SEU-based LMS in Jambi University was successful, though some challenges, including system weaknesses during evaluation and constraints on internet connectivity, were identified. Therefore, it is recommended that SEU provides improvements to the LMS and the internet access could be improved throughout all regions in Indonesia to facilitate effective and efficient technology utilization in the learning process.

Abstract

In the modern era, bilingual competencies not only enhance job opportunities and international collaboration but are also critical for effective environmental management in educational programs. Thus, environmental management of bilingual programs must be thoroughly examined and well-implemented. This article analyzes the policies and implementation of environmental management, along with influencing factors, at SD Alam Al Fath in Jambi City. The research employs a qualitative approach with a case study method developed from an interpretive paradigm. Through interviews, observations, documentation, and interactive analysis using Miles Huberman's approach, it is concluded that the environmental management of the bilingual program at SD Alam Al Fath in Jambi City is implemented through a well-structured series of daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly activities. There are five main supporting factors for these activities and three hindering factors: time constraints in the school environment, the lack of some supporting facilities, and various levels of language proficiency. This study suggests that student categorization can improve the effectiveness of bilingual programs in schools and similar programs elsewhere. However, if there is no possibility, inductive and expository strategies with direct and cooperative learning approaches could be preferred to improve the Arabic and English language proficiency of heterogeneous learners.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the education management of the Gontor 10 Islamic Boarding School in Saba' as a consideration for the proposal to establish the Student Islamic Boarding School of the Center for Islamic Studies, Jambi University. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive approach with a field research approach and literature study. Primary data were obtained through observation and interviews, while secondary data was in the form of a SWOT analysis to evaluate the advantages, weaknesses, opportunities, and challenges in the education management of Gontor 10 Islamic Boarding School. The population of this study was Pondok Pesantren Gontor 10 Saba', with a research sample consisting of the head of the Islamic boarding school caregivers, teachers (ustadz), administrators, and students. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis to describe questionnaire and interview data findings. The results showed that the education management of Gontor 10 Islamic Boarding School has advantages in maintaining the values of modern boarding schools and improving the quality of education and teaching. However, there are weaknesses, especially in the availability of facilities and infrastructure and funding independence. Therefore, it is recommended that investment in the construction of facilities and infrastructure be increased, as well as diversification of funding sources to ensure the sustainability of superior programs.

Abstract

The existence of films is often not only limited to providing spectacle or entertainment but also aims to provide values demands, especially for children's films. One of them is the film “Hafiz dan Hafizah”. This study aims to explore the values of Islamic religious education contained in the series "Hafiz dan Hafizah" in episodes 1-4. This type of research is a literature study with a pragmatic approach. The research data used in this research study is descriptive qualitative. The research data is obtained through primary and secondary sources with documentation techniques from various literature on the Hafiz and Hafizah films. The data that has been obtained is then analyzed using content analysis techniques. In this study, it can be concluded that the “Hafiz dan Hafizah series is able to present the value of worship, morals, and cooperation in every scene. Movie media has a great influence, especially on children in the formation of religious values, attitudes, and ethics. Parents need to pay attention to what their children watch, especially educational movies for character building and Islamic values.

Abstract

Reading the Holy Qur’an is still challenging, even for adults. Many students need help when they intend to start reading the Qur'an despite having previously learned Iqra. Therefore, this training aims to improve students’ motivation to read the Qur’an using an effective and efficient method. The chosen solution to address this phenomenon is the Tsaqifa method introduced by Umar Taqwim with five meetings. Partners in this action are students from the Universitas Jambi who serve as Islamic Education tutors for their peers. The training was conducted at the Universitas Jambi in August 2023 utilizing the Participatory Action Research method developed with the Kemmis & McTaggart approach. The post-training results indicate an improvement in motivation to learn how to read the Qur’an, and the partners are capable of understanding and applying the Tsaqifa method to their colleagues and friends.

Abstract

Perubahan jaman yang serba menggunaan teknologi menuntut dunia pendidikan menyampaikan materi pembelajaran dengan media pembelajaran yang mudah diakses dan menarik. Mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Kimia sebagai calon guru dituntut untuk memiliki keterampilan dalam mengembangkan media pembelajaran yang interaktif untuk menciptakan suasana pembelajaran yang bermakna. Tujuan dari kegiatan pelatihan ini adalah melatih mahasiswa dalam mengembangkan multimedia interaktif berbasis aplikasi construct untuk meningkatkan keterampilan penggunaan teknologi. Kegiatan pelatihan dilaksanakan di ruang L-102 FKIP Universitas Jambi yang diikuti oleh 28 mahasiswa. Pelatihan pengembangan multimedia interaktif berbasis aplikasi construct ini terdiri dari tahap persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Tahap perencanaan meliputi analisis permasalahan, penentuan metode pelatihan dan persiapan materi pelatihan. Tahap pelaksanaan meliputi penyampaian materi pelatihan, pengembangan multimedia interaktif, pengumpulan karya. Tahap evaluasi untuk mengukur tingkat ketercapaian pelaksanaan dan memberikan masukan untuk pelaksanaan kegiatan yang lebih baik. Ketercapaian pelatihan pengembangan multimedia interaktif berbasis aplikasi construct berdasarkan respon dari 28 mahasiswa memiliki kriteria sangat baik dengan nilai sebesar 4,54.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memahami dan menganalisis implementasi pembelajaran membaca Al-Qur'an dengan metode Tilawati pada anak usia dini di TPQ Baity Jannaty, Desa Tuo Sumay, Kabupaten Tebo. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif untuk memahami implementasi pembelajaran membaca Al-Qur'an dengan metode Tilawati pada anak usia dini di TPQ Baity Jannaty, Desa Tuo Sumay, Kabupaten Tebo. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dengan guru, pengelola, orang tua, dan anak-anak; observasi partisipatif di kelas; serta dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan dengan teknik analisis tematik, termasuk pengorganisasian, pengkodean, dan interpretasi data. Validitas data dijamin melalui triangulasi. Hasil penelitian memberikan gambaran mengenai efektivitas metode Tilawati dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhinya, serta rekomendasi perbaikan. Hasil penelitian dapat diambil kesimpulan sebagai berikut: Kondisi membaca Al-Qur’an di TPQ Baity Jannaty Desa Tuo Sumay Kabupaten Tebo Tahun Ajaran 2019/2020 adalah: (a) anak-anak sudah bisa membaca huruf hijaiyah; (b) terdapat kekeliruan dalam makharijul huruf atau sifatul huruf; dan (c) kekeliruan pada huruf tertentu. Implementasi Metode Tilawati dalam mengatasi buta huruf Al-Qur’an pada Anak Usia Dini adalah: (a) Metode Tilawati sangat membantu; (b) Metode Tilawati sangat populer; (c) meningkatkan minat anak-anak; (d) memberikan ilmu tambahan; dan (e) dilakukan evaluasi. Faktor-faktor pendukung terhadap implementasi Metode Tilawati dalam mengatasi buta huruf Al-Qur’an pada Anak Usia Dini adalah: (a) dedikasi tinggi para pengajar; (b) pengetahuan mendalam pengajar; (c) akhlak baik pengajar; (d) dukungan dari berbagai pihak; (e) ruangan yang bersih dan nyaman; dan (f) lokasi pembelajaran yang strategis. Faktor-faktor penghambat terhadap implementasi Metode Tilawati dalam mengatasi buta huruf Al-Qur’an adalah: (a) metode yang kaku dan monoton; (b) waktu terbatas; (c) kurangnya inovasi; (d) kesibukan para pengajar; (e) kurangnya antusiasme anak-anak; (f) minat yang berkurang; dan (g) kurangnya sarana dan prasarana. Solusi terhadap faktor-faktor penghambat implementasi Metode Tilawati dalam mengatasi buta huruf Al-Qur’an adalah: (a) mengadakan seminar; (b) menyediakan waktu yang cukup; (c) meningkatkan pengetahuan pengajar; (d) menyusun jadwal yang terstruktur; (e) memberikan arahan yang jelas; (f) meningkatkan pemahaman anak-anak; dan (g) memperbaiki sarana dan prasarana.

Abstract

مستخلص البحث للغة العربية أربع المهارات الرئيسية و هي: مهارة الاستماع و مهارة الكلام و مهارة القراءة و مهارة الكتابة. فأما مهارة الكلام هي المهارة الأساسيّة الثانية بعد مهارة الإستماع. و تشتمل مهارة الكلام على المحادثة و التعبير الشفهي. والأغراض من هذا البحث هي الكشف عن مشكلات ترقية مهارة الكلام للطلاب الجدد بمعهد دار السلام كونتور للتربية الإسلامية الحديثة فونوروكو; و الكشف عن محاولات مدبري المسكن الجديدفي حل مشكلات ترقية مهارة الكلام للطلاب الجدد بمعهد دار السلام كونتور للتّربية الإسلاميّة الحديثة فونوروكو. أما النتائج من هذا البحث هي أن مشكلة ترقية مهارة الكلام تتكون من جهتين من المسكن الجديد للكبار ومن المسكن الجديد للصغار منها نقصان شدة الاهتمام من المدبرين نحو مخالفي النظم اللغوية و ترك مخالفو اللغة المحكمة اليومية بعد صلاة المغرب. والنتيجة الثانية هي أن مدبري المسكن الجديد قاموا بمحاولات وعقد نشاطات وذلك لأجل ارتقاء مهارة الكلام للطلاب الجدد بمعهد دار السلام كونتور للتربية الإسلامية، منها ‌المحاولة المستمرة بكون المدبرين قدوة وأسوة فى ترقية النطق باللغة العربية و تحسينها و دعوة مدبري المسكن الآخرين النطق باللغة العربية فى يوميتهم، و. القيام بتشجيع الأعضاء و تفهيمهم عن المزايا و الأهمية عن ترقية مهارة المكلام فى تخاطبهم اليومي.

Abstract

Language is an important tool for the life of civilized man. Through language, people can communicate with each other, and convey their intentions and feelings to others. The modern factor used by Dar Al Salam Institute for teaching Arabic and English is the language lab. The language officials in the language lab have made effective teaching strategies to make teaching Arabic and English effective and good for training listening, writing, speaking and other exercises. Based on the above, the research aims to reveal the effective Arabic language teaching strategy in the language lab for the institute's students, and what problems the language supervisors faced as lab organizers when teaching the language daily, and how to solve those problems completely. From the research results obtained by the researcher, the strategy for teaching Arabic in the language lab for beginners is: 1) Watching films programmed for the Arabic language, 2) Giving vocabulary or styles before watching, 3) Pronouncing new words or styles with the students, 4) Writing sentences or vocabulary with their full meanings. The strategy for teaching Arabic at the intermediate level is: 1) Watching films programmed for the Arabic language, 2) Taking words or styles from watching films, 3) Searching for the meanings of new words, vocabulary or styles in Arabic dictionaries, 4) Having the teacher teach new vocabulary that the students did not find, 5) Taking the short meaning from watching the film programmed for the Arabic language, 6) Writing sentences or vocabulary with their full meanings. As for the problems faced by language officials in teaching Arabic in the language lab, they are that the educational curriculum in the language lab did not contribute to implanting the language in the souls of the students, because the materials are sometimes not suitable for the level of understanding of the students between the first and sixth year students, and the factors of teaching the language in the language lab are the discs that contain incomplete language materials and sometimes do not match the world of the students’ affairs. The solutions to these problems are to teach Arabic in the language lab according to the students’ ability to master the Arabic language. According to the students’ ability to master the Arabic language, before participating, they must first take an exam. From this exam, the students’ proficiency in the Arabic language is known, and then the group is divided into beginners, intermediate, and advanced, not according to the prescribed classes.
