Journal Of Community Sustainability (JOCS) is published by the Department of Research and Publication, EL-EMIR Institute in helping academics, researchers, and practitioners to disseminate their research results. <![CDATA[This community service activity was carried out for the Ikatan Keluarga XIII Koto Kampar Sadayoung Community in Bangkinang, Riau Province, where the purpose of this community service was to provide a provision of understanding regarding the application of sharia family financial management to manage expenses and increase family savings in the Ikatan Keluarga XIII Kota Kampar Community in Bangkinang. The methods used in this community service activity are through counseling and presentations, discussions and exercises for participants. The counseling method is used to explain the importance of knowing the application of sharia family financial management to manage expenditure levels and increase savings. The presentation method is used to show a work process, namely the stages of how to become a person who has a prosperous economy according to sharia principles. Meanwhile, the question and answer method is used to provide opportunities for community bond participants to consult in understanding further the material that has been explained. The exercise method is used to see the level of understanding of the service participants before and after the material is delivered. The availability of adequate experts in delivering this material, the enthusiasm of the participants, the support of the head of the community bond for the implementation of the activity are supporters of the implementation of this PkM activity. The obstacles faced were that the community service participants did not yet have initial knowledge about the material on Islamic family financial management and time constraints in delivering the material. The results of this community service show that: The community service program can be organized well and run smoothly according to the activity plan that has been prepared, the results of this community service concluded that: First, Most community service participants do not yet understand Islamic family financial management well, Second, The achievement of the objectives of the community service program for community service participants, the entire program that has been carried out with collaboration between the community and the community service has been carried out all and in accordance with the event rounddown and the time that has been determined previously.]]>

<![CDATA[This community service activity was carried out for students of SMA IT Al-Utsaimin Bangkinang, Riau Province, where the purpose of this community service is to provide provisions in increasing understanding of the concept of Sharia Economics to the community, especially generation Z of students of SMA IT Al-Utsaimin Bangkinang. The methods used in this community service activity are through counseling and presentation, discussion and practice (pretset and post test) for participants. The counseling method is used to explain the importance of knowing the concept of Sharia economics for students in order to become prosperous generations using sharia principles. The presentation method is used to show a work process, namely the stages of how we can become individuals who have a prosperous economy. While the question and answer method is used to give participants the opportunity to consult in understanding further the material that has been given. The practice method is used to see how far the participants understand the service before and after the material is delivered. The availability of adequate experts in delivering this material, the enthusiasm of the participants, and the support of the principal for the implementation of the activity are supporters of the implementation of this PPM activity. The obstacles faced are that the students do not yet have initial knowledge about the material of the concept of Islamic economics and limited time in delivering the material. The results of this service indicate that: The community service program can be organized well and run smoothly according to the activity plan that has been prepared, the results of this service concluded that: First, Most students of SMA IT Al-Utsaimin do not understand the concept of Islamic economics well, Second, The achievement of the objectives of the community service program for students of SMA IT Al-Utsaimin Bangkinang, the entire program that has been carried out with collaboration between the school and the community service have been carried out all and in accordance with the event rounddown and the time that has been determined previously.]]>

<![CDATA[This community service activity aims to improve public understanding of sharia economics through education conducted at Dhuafa Mart, Air Tiris. Dhuafa Mart is a sharia-based economic business that not only functions as a trading center, but also as a means of empowering the poor community. Through this education program, the community is given an understanding of the concept of halal transactions, Islamic financial management, and sharia-based business strategies that can be applied in micro and small businesses. The methods used in this activity are stages of socialization, training, and mentoring for managers and local business actors. Data and evaluation of the success of the program are carried out through observation, interviews, and questionnaires to education participants. The results of the activity show that the education provided has a positive impact on increasing public understanding of the principles of sharia economics and its application in daily businesses. In addition, this program also encourages active community participation in developing sustainable sharia-based businesses. As a recommendation, there needs to be strengthening of synergy between Dhuafa Mart and sharia financial institutions and local governments to provide further support in developing sharia-based businesses.]]>

<![CDATA[This community service activity aims to enhance the entrepreneurial skills of coconut farmers in Kedabu Rapat Village to promote increased income and economic independence. Coconut farmers in the village have long faced challenges such as price fluctuations, limited knowledge of business management, and restricted market access, which have impacted unstable incomes. Through entrepreneurship training, farmers are provided with knowledge on managing coconut businesses, producing processed products, and effective marketing strategies. The service method employs an interactive workshop approach including counseling, hands-on practice, group discussions, and post-training mentoring. The results show an improvement in farmers’ understanding of entrepreneurship concepts and better business management. Farmers have also begun developing processed products such as coconut oil and nata de coco, as well as designing marketing strategies to expand their market reach. Thus, this training successfully increases farmers' motivation and independence in sustainably managing coconut businesses, while opening opportunities for more stable and optimal income growth.]]>

<![CDATA[Fostering an entrepreneurial spirit from an early age is essential in shaping a generation that is independent, creative, and innovative. Junior high school students, particularly those at SMPN 8 Pelalawan District, require entrepreneurial training to help them recognize their potential and identify business opportunities in their surroundings. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of training in cultivating an entrepreneurial spirit among students. The method used is a participatory approach involving training sessions, discussions, simple business practices, and evaluations. The results show an increase in students’ interest and understanding of entrepreneurship concepts, as evidenced by the emergence of creative business ideas and entrepreneurial enthusiasm among most participants. The training also demonstrated that hands-on practical approaches are more effective than lecture-based sessions alone. The study recommends that schools continuously provide entrepreneurship training and incorporate it into extracurricular activities to support students' character development and independence]]>

<![CDATA[The urgency of entrepreneurship training for women in the Ikatan Keluarga XIII Koto Kampar Sadayoung community arises from the need to enhance the role of women in family economics and local community empowerment. This training aims to improve the entrepreneurial skills of women so that they can effectively manage independent businesses and achieve economic self-reliance. The training method used is a participatory approach, combining material presentations, group discussions, and hands-on practice to sharpen participants' technical and managerial abilities. The results of the training show an increase in entrepreneurial knowledge, product creativity development, and improved self-confidence in running a business. Participants were able to apply effective marketing and financial management techniques, which led to an increase in family income. Based on these results, it is recommended that the training be conducted continuously and its scope expanded to reach more women in the surrounding communities. Furthermore, support from the government and related institutions in the form of capital facilitation and business mentoring is crucial to ensure the success and sustainability of the women's entrepreneurial initiatives. ]]>

<![CDATA[Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) mentored by Aisyiyah Pekanbaru face challenges in product innovation and marketing strategies due to limited human resources, lack of optimal digital technology utilization, and insufficient understanding of consumer behavior. These issues weaken the competitiveness of MSMEs amid an accelerating digital transformation. This community engagement program aims to enhance the innovation capacity of MSME actors through training in persona prompting powered by Generative AI (GenAI), enabling participants to generate creative ideas and market-relevant content. The program implementation consisted of: (1) initial needs assessment and participant potential mapping; (2) an interactive workshop on persona development, prompt creation, and GenAI applications; (3) hands-on practice in crafting persona-based prompts for product and content development; and (4) a two-week post-training mentoring phase. A total of 25 MSME actors actively participated. Evaluation using pre-and post-tests showed a significant improvement in participants’ ability to create innovative prompts (with the average score rising from 58.1 to 84.3). Moreover, 72% of participants successfully produced at least one marketing content prototype based on GenAI output. These findings demonstrate that persona prompting training using GenAI is an effective and practical approach to fostering MSME innovation in a digital context.]]>

<![CDATA[This research aims to increase student literacy and creativity at SD Negeri 06 Sungai Kayu Ara through the activity of making wall magazines (mading) with the theme "Heroes' Day". This activity was carried out by the UNRI 2024 Service Team by involving students in the process of creating poetry, short stories and pictures related to the theme of heroism. The research method used is descriptive with a qualitative approach, through data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, documentation. The research results showed that this activity was successful in increasing students' reading interest and writing skills, as well as stimulating their creativity in producing works of art and visual designs. Apart from that, this activity also strengthens students' understanding of heroic values and improves social skills through collaboration in making wall magazines. Overall, making wall magazines has proven to be effective in developing students' literacy and creativity, and can be used as a creative and fun alternative learning method in schools, especially in rural areas.]]>
