Abstract

In the globalization era, civil servant (ASN) performance is a critical determinant of public sector success. This study investigates the impact of transformational leadership and work-life balance on employee performance, with job satisfaction serving as a mediating variable. Using a quantitative design, data were collected via a five-point Likert scale questionnaire from 73 civil servants at the Department of Public Works and Spatial Planning (PUPR) in Cilegon City. The analysis employed Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with SmartPLS software. Results indicate that both work-life balance and job satisfaction significantly enhance employee performance. Transformational leadership positively influences job satisfaction but shows no direct effect on performance. Moreover, job satisfaction mediates the relationship between work-life balance and performance, but not between transformational leadership and performance. These findings emphasize the importance of implementing effective work-life balance policies and fostering job satisfaction to improve performance outcomes. Public sector organizations should prioritize supportive leadership practices, balanced workloads, and employee well-being initiatives to sustain high performance levels

Abstract

Competition among higher education institutions in Indonesia is increasing, requiring educational institutions to not only maintain academic quality but also optimise non-academic strategies such as pricing, promotion, and brand image. This is important because changes in student consumer behaviour increasingly emphasise affordability, promotional effectiveness, and positive perceptions of institutions. This study aims to analyse the influence of price and promotion on students' decisions in choosing a higher education institution, with brand image as a mediating variable. This study employs a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design. The study population consists of active students who are at least in their second semester and prospective new students at a private higher education institution. The sampling technique employed is purposive sampling, involving a total of 200 respondents. Data were collected through a Likert scale-based questionnaire and supplemented with secondary data, including institutional documents and relevant literature. Data analysis used the Structural Equation Modelling–Partial Least Squares (SEM–PLS) method. The results showed that price and promotion had a positive effect on brand image and student decisions. In contrast, brand image played an important role both directly and as a partial mediator. These findings confirm that students' decisions in choosing a university are influenced not only by cost and promotion, but also by the positive image that the institution projects. The implication of this study is the need for universities to design transparent pricing strategies, create and implement creative and relevant promotions, and strengthen their image through academic quality and sustainable services.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pelaku Usaha Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) di Lubuk Pakam-Deli Serdang dalam memilih pembiayaan syariah atau konvensional. UMKM sering dihadapkan pada kendala permodalan, dan pilihan pembiayaan yang tepat menjadi kunci dalam mempertahankan kelangsungan usaha. Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi faktor-faktor seperti pemahaman terhadap sistem pembiayaan, persepsi risiko, literasi keuangan, serta aspek religiusitas yang memengaruhi preferensi pembiayaan. Data dikumpulkan melalui survei terhadap 200 pelaku UMKM menggunakan metode purposive sampling, dan dianalisis menggunakan teknik statistik deskriptif serta uji beda (t-test). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi UMKM (Pemahaman Tentang Pengetahuan, Persepsi Manfaat, Kemudahan Akses dan Pembiayaan dan Risiko dan Stabilitas) berpengaruh signifikan secara simultan terhadap Pemilihan Pembiayaan syariah dan konvensional pada pelaku usaha yang ada di UMKM Mikro Deli Serdang. Hipotesis tersebut menunjukkan bahwa dengan adanya faktor pemahaman tentang pengetahuan yang menjadi dasar keputusan, adanya persepsi manfaat dari setiap jenis pembiayaan, adanya kemudahan untuk akses pada proses dan pembiayaa dan risiko dan stabilitas dari masing-masing jenis pembiayaan, baik itu syariah maupun konvensional memiliki pengaruh yang baik terhadap pelaku usaha untuk melakukan pemilihan pembiayaan syariah dan konvensional yang ada di UMKM Mikro Deli Serdang.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of production factors, including seeds, fertilizer, land area, labor, pesticides, and capital, on corn productivity in Pulubala District, Gorontalo Regency. The research employs a quantitative approach, with primary data collected through questionnaires, interviews, and observations of 100 respondents. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression with SPSS, complemented by classical assumption tests, including normality, multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity tests. The results indicate that, simultaneously, all independent variables significantly affect corn productivity. Partially, seeds, fertilizer, labor, and capital have a positive and significant effect, whereas land area and pesticides have a negative and significant effect. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.705 indicates that 70.5% of the variation in corn productivity can be explained by the independent variables in the model, while the remaining 29.5% is influenced by other factors outside the study. Descriptive analysis also shows that the average corn productivity in Pulubala District reaches 5.085 tons per hectare

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis pengaruh harga dan kualitas layanan terhadap kepuasan serta keputusan pembelian ulang layanan Grab Bike di STIE Ciputra Makassar. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan 115 responden dan data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner dan dianalisis menggunakan PLS-SEM. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa harga berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kepuasan dan keputusan pembelian ulang, sedangkan kualitas layanan hanya berpengaruh pada kepuasan. Kepuasan konsumen tidak memediasi hubungan antara harga dan keputusan pembelian ulang maupun antara kualitas layanan dan keputusan pembelian ulang. Temuan ini memberikan wawasan baru mengenai faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi keputusan pembelian ulang dalam layanan transportasi online di Indonesia.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya keberlanjutan bisnis pada usaha mikro, kecil, dan menengah yang menghadapi dinamika persaingan, perubahan teknologi, serta tuntutan inovasi. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk menganalisis peran transformasi digital dan kinerja inovasi dalam meningkatkan keberlanjutan bisnis dengan menempatkan digital marketing sebagai variabel mediasi yang strategis. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan paradigma positivisme dan metode survei cross-sectional. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner kepada dua ratus pelaku usaha mikro, kecil, dan menengah di kawasan Syekh Yusuf Discovery Kabupaten Gowa. Analisis dilakukan dengan menggunakan Structural Equation Modelling berbasis Partial Least Squares untuk menguji validitas, reliabilitas, hubungan kausal, serta efek mediasi antarvariabel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa transformasi digital dan kinerja inovasi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap keberlanjutan bisnis baik secara langsung maupun tidak langsung. Digital marketing terbukti menjadi variabel mediasi yang memperkuat pengaruh keduanya, dengan kontribusi terbesar berasal dari kinerja inovasi terhadap strategi pemasaran digital. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa keberlanjutan bisnis tidak hanya bergantung pada kemampuan berinovasi atau mengadopsi teknologi, tetapi juga pada kemampuan mengkomunikasikan nilai tersebut melalui pemasaran digital yang efektif. Digital marketing memungkinkan usaha mikro, kecil, dan menengah memperluas jangkauan pasar, meningkatkan interaksi konsumen, serta memaksimalkan hasil inovasi dan transformasi digital dalam praktik bisnis berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This study was conducted to analyze the economic potential of sugar palm cultivation in supporting the palm sugar industry in Jambu Malea Village, Tapango Sub-district. The background of this research lies in the considerable potential of sugar palm trees as a source of raw material for palm sugar, which has a high market value. However, its development still faces challenges such as limited cultivation technology, restricted market access, and farmers’ lack of knowledge. The objectives of this study are to examine the income of palm sugar businesses, identify the economic potential of sugar palm cultivation, and assess its prospects for improving community welfare. The research employed a quantitative approach using a survey technique. The sample was determined through a saturated sampling method, in which the entire population of palm sugar entrepreneurs, consisting of 10 individuals, was included as respondents. The data collected comprised production costs, revenue, and income, which were then analyzed descriptively by calculating the total cost, revenue, and business profit. The results revealed that the average palm sugar production reached 429 kg per month with a selling price of IDR 18,000/kg, generating a total revenue of IDR 7,722,000. After deducting the total cost of IDR 1,986,733, the average net income obtained was IDR 5,735,267 per month. These findings indicate that sugar palm cultivation has significant economic potential and is feasible to be developed. Moreover, palm sugar enterprises contribute to increasing community income and hold the potential to support sustainable village development.

Abstract

The esports tournament industry is growing rapidly with an ever-increasing number of spectators and investors. This popularity opens up opportunities for brands to reach consumers through sponsorship. This study aims to identify the factors that affect the purchase intention of esports tournament fans toward sponsorship. This study uses a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. Data was collected through a questionnaire from 270 individuals who participated in or supported esports event tournaments. The results of the study show that esports fan identity, brand fan identity, Community and Sponsorship, satisfaction with the event, esports event attachment, and Attitude towards sponsorship affect Brand Purchase Intention.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how business type and capital influence the income of traders in the Central Market of Mamuju Regency. The research method used is quantitative, with primary data collected using a questionnaire. The respondent population was all traders in the Central Market of Mamuju Regency, and a sample of 30 traders was taken. This research method used multiple linear regression, validity tests, reliability tests, partial tests (t-tests), and f-tests. The results show that the variable Business Type has a partial significant effect on Trader Income in Mamuju Regency, with a significance value of 0.007, less than 0.05. The variable Capital has a partial significant effect on Trader Income in Mamuju Regency, with a significance value of 0.003, less than 0.05. The variables Business Type and Capital simultaneously have a significant effect on Trader Income in Mamuju Regency, with a significance value of 0.000, less than 0.05.

Abstract

Bank Muamalat Indonesia Tbk. Mamuju Branch is one of the banking companies located in Mamuju Regency, West Sulawesi, on Jalan Urip Sumoharjo, Karema, Mamuju District, Mamuju Regency, which has grown rapidly to date. Since its establishment in 2009 in Mamuju, it has been led by Mr. Ansar. This is because the division of South Sulawesi into West Sulawesi has increased the demand for Islamic banking in the Mamuju area. In addition, the majority of the population or community in Mamuju Regency is Muslim. This study was conducted with the aim of determining the effect of the reward and punishment systems on employee compliance at PT Bank Muamalat KCU Mamuju. The respondents in this study were all employees at PT Bank Muamalat Indonesia KCU Mamuju, with a population of 33. The sample size was determined using total sampling technique with 33 respondents. The formulas used in this study were multiple linear regression, validity test, reliability test, t-test, F-test, and coefficient of determination test. The results showed that the reward system had a significant partial effect on employee compliance. The punishment system also had a significant partial effect on employee compliance. Simultaneously, the Reward System and Punishment System have a significant effect on Service User Satisfaction, with a contribution of 49.2%. These findings indicate that although the Reward System and Punishment System have been proven to contribute to employee compliance, there are still other factors that also play an important role but have not been revealed in this study
