Abstract

Abstract Feed is an element that really support the activities of aquaculture, there for the feed that is available must be adequate and meet the needs of the fish. Efforts to reduce feed costs, some farmers use alternative feed ingredients as a substitute for feed ingredients. Peanut leaves in the form of flour can be used as fish feed in pellet form. Peanut is potential biological resources to be used as feed to the waste produce sufficient forage nutritional value. Peanut leaves nutrition consist of, the dry matter 96,2754%, 29,7397% crude fiber, 17,2475% crude protein (Unit Inspection Services Consulting and Training of Faculty of Veterinary Medical Laboratory Airlangga University, 2014).This research been used Completely Randomized Design (CRD) method with five treatments and four replications. The treatment used were control (P0), the provision of Enterobacter cloacae WPL 111 5% (P1), 10% (P2), 15% (P3) and 20% (P4) with each repeated four times. Parameters observed were content of crude protein and crude fiber after fermentation for seven days in anaerob facultative. Data about the contain of crude protein and crude fiber obtained from this studied were analyzed with analysis of variants to determine the effect of treatment. Different between treatments were tested with Duncan;s multiple range test (DMRT). These results indicate that administration Enterobacter cloacae WPL 111 10% gave significant effect of the increase in crude protein content in the fermented leaves peanut and administration Enterobacter cloacae WPL 111 5% gave significant effect of the decrease in crude fiber content in the fermented leaves peanut. The suggested dosage to reduce the content of crude fiber and increase the crude protein content in the fermented leaves peanut is 10%.

Abstract

Abstract Fishing is one of the economic sectors that have potential and an important role for the Indonesian economy. The fisheries sector also have contributed to the national development can be seen from its function as a provider of raw materials driving agro-industries, increase the supply of foreign exchange through the export of fishery products, providers of employment opportunities, increase the income of fishermen or fish farmers and regional development, as well as increasing the sustainability of fishery resources and the environment. The method used in this research is descriptive method. The process of data collection was conducted by questionnaire survey method with existing guidelines. Survey methods not only to create a description of a situation, but also to explain the relationship between the various variables studied. Data collection can use a questionnaire or survey questionnaires, interviews or observation in accordance with the needs of researchers (Moleong, 2009). This study aims to determine the potential for cultivation of fish rearing milkfish (Chanos C.) were performed on traditional pond polyculture and monoculture systems by farmers in districts Mulyorejo. Potential cultivation can be known through a financial analysis that determines a feasible endeavor or not to do business development. Results from this study indicate that milkfish fish rearing business conducted in the region, including in businesses that are not feasible, because the percentage of farmers who obtained a profit of 20% and the loss of 80% .. The average value of B / C Ratio obtained by farmers ie -0.17, the average value obtained by farmers Payback Period at 0 and the average value obtained Return on Investment farmers amounted to -22%. Abstract

Abstract Red tilapia fish (Oreochromis niloticus) is one of the mainstays of the freshwater fishery which is growing rapidly in Indonesia. The production of red tilapia fish fishery experiences a significant increase from year after year which amounting from 567.078 tons in 2011 to become 695.063 tons in 2012 and 909.016 tons in 2013 ( Directorate General of Aquaculture – Ministry of Marine and Fishery, 2014). The development of red tilapia fish farming were not experiences many issues, but there is one problem that needs to be concern which is about feed problem, the feed that used in aquaculture activities is determine the production costs up to 60-70% of the total production cost incurred (Jusadi et al., 2004). Fish farming business are strongly influenced by the availability of sufficient fodder in numbers and quality to support the growth and life sustainability of fish cultivation. Feed plays an important part for the growth of the fish (Wahyudi, 2010). The feed can increase the quality of fish weight with addition of a feed additive. One of the alternatives that can be take is by adding probiotic (Anggraeni, 2012) and herbal ingredients in feed (Ariyanto et al., 2013). Research results show that the addition of probiotics plus herbs affect the digestibility of protein retention and fat retention red tilapia. Based on the research that has been done, the addition of probiotics plus herbs with a dose of 2 ml / kg of feed can be used as artificial feed supplement and as an alternative to reduce the production cost of cultivation of red tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus).

Abstract

Abstract The main obstacles in successful production is the attack of a disease. Preventive measures in reducing disease one of them is by means an increase in immunity the body of fish use natural compound (Parelberg et al., 2005). One of the natural compound that can be used as obtaining the immune system fish are the vitamin C, iodine, tannin (Bachtiar, dkk., 2012) and polysaccharides and derivatives as fucoidan. (Castro et. al., 2006) which is in Sargassum sp. With the provision of extract Sargassum sp. in feed is expected to optimize the number of erythrocytes and differensial leukocytes (number of neutrophils , monocytes and lymphocytes) at african catfish (Clarias gariepinus) so that it may optimize immunity the body of fish (Brown, 2000). The result of the observation of the blood of fish test is the use of extract Sargassum sp. wich get mixed in feed with doses 5, 10 and 15 g/kilogram feed during 21 days impact on the number of erythrocytes and prosentase lymphocytes blood catfishes. In doses C (15 g extract/ kilogram feed) put a value erythrocytes highest in day 21 namely 16.84 ± 1.56 x 105 cells/mm3, and give prosentase lymphocytes highest in day 21 than those wich others are 86.00 ± 3.81 %. But in a post test, B and C not seen the real difference between treatment. While for statistics the addition of extract not indicates the influence of real to the percentage neutrophils and monocytes of the blood fish. So that it can be said that addition extract Sargassum sp. with doses 15 g extract/kilogram feed give the effectiveness of the optimal response immune system than second doses other.
