Abstract

AbstrakThis research is entitled Communication of Uncertainty Reduction of Scout Leaders in Scouting Education at Pasundan 8 Bandung High School. The purpose of this study is to describe the communication carried out by scout coaches towards the implementation of scouting education in order to know the character and character of students in the perspective of uncertainty reduction at Pasundan 8 Bandung High School.  This type of research is descriptive qualitative with a research approach to the study of uncertainty reduction in interpersonal communication. The data source of this research is divided into two types of data sources, primary data obtained from informants namely scout coaches, instructors, and scout members of class X to class XII. Furthermore, the data collection techniques used are direct observation, interviews and documentation, participation. Then, the data analysis technique uses three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing.  The results of this study indicate the application of coach communication in scouting education. Primary communication flow is the main one applied in conducting interactions and secondary seeks to be minimized even in sudden situations. Uncertainty reduction methods tend to be passive and interactive strategies. The implication of this research, encourages especially the coach as the person in charge to pay attention to the implementation of the scouting education system can run as expected so that it is still possible to be developed and completed by analyzing other parts of Scouting to become a better and more effective Scouting Education. Keywords: Scouting Education, Communication, Uncertainty Reduction

Abstract

Ritual Tiga Tungku Satu Periuk merupakan salah satu kegiatan yang mana di dalamnya memiliki tiga komponen yaitu adat, agama dan pemerintah. Di dalam ritual ketiga komponen itu juga memiliki ritual nya masing-masing. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana peristiwa komunikasi, komponen apa saja yang ada di dalam peristiwa komunikasi dan bagaimana hubungan antara komponen ritual Tiga Tungku Satu Periuk pada masyarakat Desa Ternate Umapura, Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah etnografi komunikasi dengan teori Dell Hymess. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa Peristiwa komunikasi mengacu pada seluruh perangkat dan komponen yang berinteraksi secara utuh dalam sebuah proses komunikasi. Dalam konteks ritual Tiga Tungku Satu Periuk ini memiliki peran khusus dalam peristiwa komunikasi. Setiap tungku/ batu melambangkan aspek-aspek tertentu seperti adat, agama, dan pemerintah. Komponen komunikasi dapat diidentifikasi peristiwa komunikasi. Komponen etnografi komunikasi adalah sebagai berikut Setting, Participant, End, Act Sequence, Key, Instrumentalities, Norms of direction, dan Genre. Berdasarkan analisis komponen etnografi komunikasi, kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah bahwa komunikasi dalam ritual tiga tungku dan satu periuk dapat dipahami melalui isi doa adat, agama dan pemerintahan, meskipun pada dasarnya setiap ritual terkandung dalam tiga komponen ingin itu adat, agama dan pemerintah selalu terkait dengan doa-doa keagamaan

Abstract

Selling bouquets using Instagram uses the 4P Marketing Mix concept, namely Promotion, Product, Price, & Place, to be interesting. For this reason, the research aims to find out the promotion strategy of Sbucket.id stores in marketing products to attract consumers' interest in buying via Instagram, and how sellers communicate selling prices to consumers, as well as strategic location which is a determining factor in consumer purchases. This research was located at the Sbucket.id Store in Lubuklinggau City, South Sumatra. The research method used is a qualitative research method. The informants in the research consisted of six people, namely the owner or owner of the Sbucket.id shop, the admin of Sbucket.id and also four consumers or buyers who had bought a bouquet at the Sbucket.id shop using data collection techniques through semi-structured interviews, observation non-participants and also documentation. From the research results, it can be seen that in order to attract consumers' interest in buying a bouquet at the Sbucket.id shop, they promote the product via Instagram social media, initially they use Endorsement services, then they always promote the product via Instagram Stories, and also upload photos of the bouquet on the Instagram feed. by adding a caption. Consumers can request a bouquet according to their wishes, so before purchasing it needs to be communicated first to the sbucket.id admin. The location of the Sbucket.id shop is very strategic, located on the side of the road and close to various schools so that consumers can easily find and reach the Sbucket.id shop location..Keywords: Marketing Communication, Instagram, Bouquets

Abstract

Salmiah Rambe, as a member of the Bandung City Regional Representative Council (DPRD Kota Bandung), has held a position in Commission D for two terms beginning in 2014. She has a personal responsibility in maintaining her high level of electability in the previous 2019 elections. Salmiah's vote count in the 2019 elections increased almost threefold compared to the 2014 elections. In 2014, she received 4,219 votes, while in 2019 she received 11,074 votes. This is quite surprising considering her last name suggests a different cultural background than the area she is assigned to represent. The high level of electability needs to be maintained because it represents a trust given by the community and also indicates Salmiah's ambition to participate in the next 2024 elections. This research aims to determine the political communication pattern used by Salmiah Rambe in maintaining her electability towards the 2024 elections, and how this political communication pattern can help her.This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach.  The results of the data from the field show that Salmiah uses a circular political communication pattern, as proposed by Scharm and Osgood, which aligns with the political communication model developed by Dan Nimmo. Salmiah uses this communication pattern in every activity that allows her to meet with the community. It helps her understand the concerns and complaints of the community/constituents, so she can respond to these complaints with appropriate policies and assistance needed by the community/constituents. These policies and assistance bring benefits that are perceived by the community/constituents, which ultimately influence the trust of the community/constituents and affect Salmiah Rambe's level of electability.Keywords: Political Communication, Salmiah Rambe, Electability.

Abstract

Media sosial saat ini menjadi salah satu hiburan masyarakat yang senantiasa memberikan banyak dampak bagi penggunanya, salah satu media sosial yang cukup banyak digemari adalah Twitter. Melalui Twitter, masyarakat dapat dengan mudah mengakses berita/informasi terkait banyaknya kasus di Indonesia, salah satunya kasus Ferdy Sambo yang beberapa bulan ini begitu ramai diperbincangkan. Berdasarkan pada latar belakang tersebut, adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui adakah pengaruh dari penggunaan media sosial Twitter di akun twitter @NarasiNewsRoom terhadap Kasus Ferdy Sambo. Penelitian ini menggunakan tiga teori, yaitu teori jarum hipodermik, teori media baru dan teori komunikasi massa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan purposive sampling dan terdapat 300 responden. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner dalam bentuk google form. Dalam pengolahan maupun teknik analisis datanya menggunakan software IBM SPSS statistic 26. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media sosial Twitter berpengaruh terhadap perkembangan kasus Ferdy Sambo dengan tingkat regresi sebesar 0,973 dan nilai t sebesar 19,172 dengan taraf signifikansi sebesar 95%. Abstract

Media changes occurred in a revolutionary way. Its presence packaged in a new type of media replaces the existence and phases of old media which were categorized as conventional. These changes which have fundamental consequences are changing the scientific landscape, especially the branch of mass communication. As an umbrella scientific discipline that studies mass media, mass communication is also developing. The various consequences of these developments ultimately relate to theory and methods which are also developing but are relevant to current trends and directions in mass media. Even though some have been categorized and formulated in theory, along with trends, new theories are needed in accordance with developments that occur. In this regard, this research aims to determine the direction of media which is experiencing fundamental changes towards a more convergent direction that reaches other scientific disciplines. By using qualitative methods with careful observation, several things were discovered regarding the possibility of theoretical postulations by combining other scientific disciplines in their understanding which could touch directly on the scientific dimension.Keywords: Mass Communication, Mass Media, Communication Science

Abstract

Abstrak. Jika mendengar pelecehan seksual banyak orang akan berfikir bahwa korban menggunakan pakaian yang terbuka, hal ini menarik perhatian penulis karena dalam pameran ‘Pakaian Penyintas Kekerasan Seksual’ ini pakaian yang diperlihatkan /dipamerkan merupakan pakaian yang tertutup tetapi mereka tetap mendapatkan pelecehan seksual. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana denotasi, konotasi, dan mitos yang terkandung dalam pakaian terakhir korban pelecehan seksual dalam pameran ‘Pakaian Penyintas Kekerasan Seksual’. Penulis menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan semiotika Roland Barthes. Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pada pameran ‘Pakaian Penyintas Kekerasan Seksual’ terdapat 10 setelan baju. Dari 10 setelan baju tersebut terdapat 7 setelan baju tertutup, 2 setelah baju terbuka, dan 1 setelan baju anak. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa pertama, tindakan pelecehan seksual bisa terjadi pada orang-orang yang berpakaian tertutup. Kedua, pakaian terbuka bisa menjadi salah satu penyebab tindakan pelecehan seksual. Ketiga, tidak hanya orang dewasa saja yang dapat menjadi korban, anak dibawah umur pun bisa menjadi korban pelecehan seksual.Kata Kunci : Pelecehan seksual, Semiotika, Teori Roland Barthes.

Abstract

This research investigates the effectiveness of negotiations in the context of the political communication process in general. Involving an in-depth analysis of political negotiation situations, this research aims to identify the key factors that influence the success of negotiations and their impact on the political communication process. Using an interdisciplinary approach that combines political communication theory and negotiation strategy, this research provides insight into how effective negotiation skills can improve results in reaching political agreements. The findings of this research contribute to the practical and theoretical understanding of the importance of negotiation in achieving political goals and provide guidance for improving negotiation skills in complex political communication contexts.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menjelaskan komunikasi persuasif bank sampah binangkit di kota Bandung dalam membangun kesadaran lingkungan, tujuan penelitian yang digunakan dalam mengkaji objek penelitian ini yaitu; 1. Untuk mengetahu komponen atau aspek dalam komunikasi yang dilakukan oleh pengelola Bank Sampah Binangkit Kelurahan Sukapura Kecamatan Kiaracondong Kota Bandung dalam membangun kesadaran lingkungan Masyarakat, 2 untuk mengetahui penanaman nilai-nilai kesadaran terhadap lingkungan yang bersih yang dilakukan oleh pengelola Bank Sampah Binangkit Kelurahan Sukapura Kecamatan Kiaracondong Kota Bandung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan di desain secara kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data wawancara, observasi, studi Pustaka, dokumentasi, untuk mendapatkan data yang valid peniliti menggunakan Teknik analisis data dengan cara; melakukan reduksi data, triangulasi data, verifikasi data, penarikan kesimpulan dan sampai pada tahap penyajian data. Penelitian ini menghasilkan temuan Sebagai sebuah bank sampah yang bergerak dibidang jasa yang berkegiatan dengan masyarakat. Dimana seharusnya pengelola bank sampah binangkit ini memperluas cakupannya untuk memperkenalkan, memberi pemahaman atau memberi informasi terkait sampah untuk membangun kesadaran lingkunan. Tetapi harus sesuai dengan pola komunikasi persuasif. Harus hars lebih semangat dalam mencapai aspek konatif, Setelah nasabah memahami bahayanya samapah maka untuk selanjutnya diaplikasikan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari oleh nasabah bank sampah binangkit. Sehingga dalam Langkah-langkah tersebut mampu mempermudah dalam pelaksanaan penanaman nilai-nilai tehadap lingkungan yang bersih dan sehat. Pada tahap penanam nilai-nilai kesadaran lingkungan yang bersih dan sehat. Nasabah bank sampah binangkit sudah pada tahap komponen konatif atau komponen perilaku. Nasabah bank sampah binangkit bertindak atau berperilaku sesuai dengan sukarela melakukannya karena memahami bahanya sampah bagi lingkungan sekitarnya. Abstract

The simultaneous presidential and legislative elections show a shift in orientation from party-centered politics to candidate-centered politics, where candidates/figures are the main object of the 2024 election compared to the previous two separate elections. Changes in the election format mean that each presidential candidate carries out political communication in various forms of tools, media, and massive campaign activities. As The candidate-centered politics, the coalition of H. Anies Rasyid Baswedan, Ph.D. - Dr. (HC) H.A. Muhaimin Iskandar promotes change, H. Prabowo Subianto - Gibran Rakabuming Raka, Advanced Indonesia, and H. Ganjar Pranowo, S.H., M.I.P - Prof. Dr. H. Moh. Mahfud is a Superior Indonesia is the tagline of the vision of each presidential candidate, namely: Fair, Prosperous Indonesia for All, Together Indonesia Progresses Towards a Golden Indonesia 2045, and Fast Movement Towards a Superior Indonesia. The successful political communication of the presidential candidates had an electoral influence and impact on the presidential election competition, which was won by the pair H. Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka according to the recapitulation of the KPU's preliminary calculations after three days of voting. This public trust is a challenge for the President-elect to resolve society's multidimensional problems in the economic fields regarding poverty and unemployment, education and health, and social welfare. The interpretive analysis of the qualitative descriptive method in this study is an understanding/meaning of people's choices regarding candidate-centered politics from the many phenomena that are constructed into a shared reality.
