Abstract

The ability to read the Qur’an accurately and correctly is a crucial competency for students in madrasah ibtidaiyah. This study aims to describe the application of the Tahsin method in improving the ability to read the Qur’an. The research method employed is a descriptive qualitative approach, utilising data collection techniques that include observation, interviews, and documentation. The study’s results showed that the Tahsin method was implemented through teacher-led example Reading, student imitation, correction of Reading errors, and repeated exercises. This method is practical for enhancing the accuracy of makhraj, applying tajweed rules, and improving students’ fluency in reading the Qur’an. These findings demonstrate that the Tahsin method is effective in fostering optimal Qur’an Reading skills from an early age.

Abstract

This study develops Fun Teaching–based Spin Game media to enhance students’ interest in learning moral beliefs at MTs Yaminas Noling, Luwu Regency. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) design using the ASSURE model and involved 28 eighth-grade students. Media feasibility was assessed through validation questionnaires completed by media, material, and linguistics experts, as well as student interest questionnaires. Data were collected through observations, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation, and analysed using descriptive qualitative and quantitative techniques. Validation results showed that the media received a score of 85.4% (very valid), material validation reached 81.2% (very valid), and language validation obtained 75% (valid). Students’ learning-interest scores increased from 66.22% (good) before using the media to 95.61% (excellent) after its implementation. These findings indicate that the Fun Teaching–based Spin Game media is feasible and effective in increasing students’ learning interest.

Abstract

This study discusses the development of Islamic Religious Education learning media in the form of animated videos to help students memorize Surah Al-A’la. The purpose of this study is to describe the procedure for developing animation-based video learning media and to determine their validity and practicality. The research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model, which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The results of the study show that the animated video media developed falls into the very valid category, as assessed by media experts (0.84) and material experts (0.92). The practicality test involving 27 grade VI students yielded a score of 85.02%. In contrast, Islamic Religious Education teachers scored 93.5%, indicating that this media is interesting, easy to use, and effective in supporting the learning process. Thus, this animated media is valid and practical for learning to memorize Surah Al-A’la in grade VI of elementary school.

Abstract

This research aims to improve student learning outcomes in Islamic Religious Education and Ethics at Satap To’Bakkun State Junior High School by applying the Student Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD) cooperative learning model. This study uses the Classroom Action Research method, consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages across three cycles. The research subjects were grade VII A students, and data were collected through observation and learning outcome tests. The study found a significant increase in learning outcomes and student activities. The average value of learning outcomes increased from 61.91% in cycle I to 82.26% in cycle II and 87.43% in cycle III. Learning activities also increased from 58.10% in the pre-cycle to 87.92% in the third cycle. These findings suggest that the STAD model is efficacious in improving student learning outcomes and engagement.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of social media on the learning outcomes of Islamic Religious Education for grade XI students at SMA Negeri 4 Palopo. The research aims to identify how social media influences the learning process and how its use affects students’ academic achievement. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach using primary and secondary data obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that social media provides both positive and negative impacts. Positive impacts include broader access to religious information, increased motivation to learn, and more varied learning experiences aligned with the digital generation. Negative impacts include decreased concentration, the tendency to use social media solely for entertainment, and technical barriers during learning. Overall, social media exerts a dual influence, underscoring the need for digital literacy and appropriate guidance to ensure learning objectives are achieved effectively.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the development of Augmented Reality (AR)-based learning media to increase students’ motivation to learn using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. The study was conducted by selecting articles from various databases using inclusion criteria related to the form of AR implementation, the effectiveness of AR in learning, and supporting factors and barriers to its use. The results of the review show that AR media is developed in various forms, such as marker-based, markerless, interactive modules, and 3D books. Consistently, AR has been shown to increase student motivation, attention, and engagement in learning through 3D visualisation and real-time interaction. However, device limitations, the need for stable internet connections, and teachers’ ability to operate technology are the main challenges to its implementation. These findings confirm that AR has the potential to be an effective, innovative learning medium, noting the need for facility adjustments, teacher training, and more systematic curriculum integration.

Abstract

The integration of course guidelines with learning materials hinders students’ comprehension and fosters dependence on tutors. Needs analysis, as the initial step in e-module development, is essential to identify students’ limitations and requirements. Employing Borg and Gall’s needs analysis model, this study gathered data through observation, questionnaires, and interviews with 30 students, and analysed the data both quantitatively and qualitatively. Results reveal the current guidebook excels in user-friendliness (98.23%), adaptability (94.70%), and self-containment (77.17%), but is merely adequate in stand-alone (68.47%) and self-instruction (61.43%) aspects. Therefore, an e-module equipped with examples, editable templates, self-quizzes with feedback, and tutorial videos is required.
