Abstract

Currently, there is an increasing need for a transparent and efficient reporting system in the management of village funds (Dana Gampong), as many fund management processes still rely on manual methods or systems that are not well-integrated. Therefore, this research focuses on the development of a multi-user web-based application for reporting the use of village funds, integrated with the CodeIgniter framework. This application aims to provide a transparent and efficient system for managing and reporting village budget allocations, expenditures, and activities at various levels, including categories, fields, villages, and subdistricts. The system is designed to allow both administrators and village operators to input and manage data, ensuring accurate and up-to-date financial reporting. The admin interface enables users to update account credentials, manage categories, fields, villages, and subdistricts, while the operator interface facilitates detailed activity reporting. Additionally, the application ensures accessibility across various devices, including personal computers, laptops, tablets, and smartphones, making it flexible and user-friendly for all stakeholders. This research also explores the importance of an integrated system in improving transparency in village governance, providing a comprehensive view of fund usage across different categories and time periods.

Abstract

The city of Palembang has a territorial character consisting of urban, suburban and rural areas. The population in Palembang City continues to grow and spread to all corners of Palembang City. Therefore, the planning of a 4G LTE network requires a complex plan based on the area characteristics and also paying attention to frequency efficiency. This research aims to design a heterogeneous 4G LTE network in the city of Palembang, focusing on the use of inter-band frequency spectrum to increase the network coverage area. The research methodology includes area mapping and analysis of eNodeB requirements in each sub-district. The propagation model used in 4G LTE network planning is the Cost-Hatta model. In this research, we implemented the use of a frequency of 900 MHz for the macro site, a frequency of 1800 MHz for the micro site, a frequency of 2100 MHz for the nano site and a frequency of 2300 MHz for the pico site. The research results show that at the lowest frequency, i.e. using a frequency of 900 MHz, the number of eNodeBs required is 18 eNodeBs on the uplink side and 60 eNodeBs on the downlink side. At the highest frequency of 2300 MHz, the number of eNodeBs required on the uplink side is 24 eNodeBs and on the downlink side is 329 eNodeBs.

Abstract

This study aims to calculate the quantity of used wudhu wastewater at the Nurul Ilmi Mosque, Universitas Andalas, test the effectiveness of filtration in removing TSS and COD, and evaluate its potential use as non-potable water. Quantity measurements were carried out on Monday, Friday, and Sunday with triplicate tests. Filtration used a continuous PVC reactor (capacity 2.54 L) with an influent discharge of 2 gpm and 4 gpm. The filtration media consisted of activated carbon, zeolite sand, and silica sand. The results showed that the highest volume of used ablution water was on Friday at 35.865 ± 9.67 L/sec. TSS and COD removal at a discharge of 2 gpm and 4 gpm were 74.03% ± 2.98 and 76.19% ± 3.37, and 70.01% ± 2.98 and 70.01% ± 0.00, respectively. The 2 gpm discharge showed the best removal results, although the COD value did not meet the Quality Standards of PP No. 22 of 2021 (class 2). The t-test showed that the variation in discharge did not have a significant effect on the removal of TSS and COD (p>0.05). With its potential for utilization, it is recommended to extend the residence time at a discharge of 2 gpm so that COD meets the quality standards, so that used ablution water can be used as non-potable water.

Abstract

The development of lightweight yet mechanically strong materials is crucial for automotive components. This study investigates the effects of carbon fibre (CF) and aluminium oxide (Al₂O₃) as fillers in polypropylene (PP) composites to improve their mechanical properties and thermal stability. Four variations of carbon fibre addition (0%, 10%, 20% and 30% by weight) were tested. The composites were prepared using a manual moulding machine (MFM) and evaluated for tensile strength, impact strength, crystallinity and thermal stability using a universal testing machine (UTM), impact tester, differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). The results showed that the addition of carbon fibre reduced tensile strength but significantly improved impact strength, crystallinity and thermal stability. The optimum carbon fibre content was found to be 30% by weight for maximum impact strength and 20% for maximum crystallinity. This research provides insight into the application of carbon fibre and aluminium oxide reinforced polypropylene composites in the automotive industry.

Abstract

MSMEs play a major role in Indonesia's economy, both as job providers and as key drivers of economic growth. However, MSME players often face challenges in maintaining competitiveness in an increasingly competitive market. This study aims to analyze the influence of design, quality, and price on the level of satisfaction of MSME players at the Humbang Hasundutan Packaging House. This Packaging House was established to improve the quality of local product packaging to make it more attractive and competitive. The research method uses a multiple linear regression analysis approach with primary data obtained from questionnaires filled out by local MSME players. The results showed that design and price have a significant influence on the level of satisfaction of small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), with design being the most dominant. An attractive design can increase product attractiveness and strengthen brand identity. Prices that match product quality are also proven to be able to provide more value for customers. However, product quality partially does not have a significant effect on satisfaction levels, which may be due to differences in customer perceptions or expectations. The coefficient of determination of 59.4% indicates that the design, quality and price variables are good enough to explain variations in the level of satisfaction of MSMEs, while the rest is influenced by other factors that have not been studied. Based on these results, it is recommended that future research explore other variables, such as service or innovation, which may contribute to MSME satisfaction more comprehensively.

Abstract

Madiun River is the largest and main river in Madiun City, which is part of the Bengawan Solo River with a river length of 141 km. Sampling was carried out at seven points along the Madiun River to determine the quality and status of the river. Parameters tested included physical (pH, TSS, DO), chemical (BOD, COD, nitrate, phosphate) and biological (faecal coliform). The Pollution Index (IP) method is used to determine the water quality status of the river, based on the Decree of the Minister of the Environment No. 115 of 2003 on the determination of water quality status. The results showed that the average IP value of the Madiun River was 2.353, which is classified as slightly polluted. The parameters BOD, phosphate and faecal coliform are the main indicators of pollution as they do not meet the requirements of Class II quality standards based on PP RI Number 22 of 2021. Reducing pollution requires routine monitoring, good management of domestic waste and socialisation of the community and farmers on the importance of maintaining river water quality. The research is expected to provide a basis for the government and stakeholders to formulate comprehensive water quality management policies and programmes.

Abstract

This study aims to optimise the delivery routes of Cripang Bu Fitri, a Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) in Semarang City, using the Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) metaheuristic method. The main problem is the high demand from partners and the use of intuitive routes by salesmen, resulting in inefficient travel distances and operational costs. This study applies PSO to solve the Traveling Salesman Problem (TSP), focusing on reducing delivery distance and time. The data obtained was processed using the Visual Basic 6.0 application. The results of the PSO calculations show that the newly generated route is more efficient than the original route. The total distance for the new route is 100550 metres compared to 115950 metres for the original route, resulting in a 13% improvement in efficiency. This result highlights the effectiveness of PSO in reducing operational costs and delivery times, thereby improving the competitiveness of SMEs. The use of this method is recommended for logistics optimisation in other SME sectors.

Abstract

The increase in waste generation and the lack of waste management efforts in landfills (TPA) continuously causes the capacity of the landfill to be full. Determination of the location of a new landfill designation is one solution to avoid environmental pollution problems. The purpose of this study is to determine the location of the waste landfill feasible zone based on regional criteria and determine the location of alternative waste landfill designations based on the exclusion criteria in Bathin Solapan District. This research uses primary data and secondary data. The research method used is descriptive research with a quantitative approach. In this research, the location of waste landfill is determined by adjusting SNI 19-3241-1994 and analyzed by overlay analysis and scoring. The samples in this study were several locations determined from the results of overlaying several land unit maps. Sampling was done by purposive sampling. The results showed that there was a waste landfill feasibility zone in Bathin Solapan District covering an area of 21,831.1 Ha spread across 13 villages. The alternative location of the waste landfill designation based on the elimination criteria is located in Petani Village, Jalan Rangau km 17 with a land area of 9.16 Ha and a suitability value of 664. Based on the opt-out stage analysis, the selected alternative site has a more positive socio-economic impact compared to the other sites.
