Abstract

Warodoyong District is the district with the most puddles in Sukabumi City, with 9 puddles. The 9 puddles need to be prioritised. The purpose of this study is to calculate the priority value for handling puddles that occur in Warodoyong District. It is hoped that this study can be used by the Sukabumi City Regional Government and related agencies in handling puddles that occur. The determination of puddle management priorities is based on the Minister of Public Works Regulation No. 12 of 2014 on the Implementation of Urban Drainage Systems. Based on the results of the weighting carried out, puddle G1 has the highest value of 336, so it becomes the main priority in handling puddles that occur. Efforts to deal with puddles immediately are necessary because puddles occur in areas used by the community in their daily activities.

Abstract

Cathodic protection is used to prevent corrosion in gas pipeline networks, so it is necessary to conduct regular inspections to ensure its effectiveness. This research uses the Fuzzy Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (Fuzzy FMEA) method to analyse the results of cathodic protection inspections on the PT PGAS Solution Area Bekasi gas pipeline network, identify the causes of failures, and determine the control actions that can be taken based on the cause of the failure. Data obtained from cathodic protection inspection activities and expert interviews show that the most common failures are those with low potential values. FRPN calculations using the Fuzzy FMEA method show that environmental factors are critical causes of low potential failures. The main cause is an environment with a soil barrier that is too high, so control measures can be taken by adding additional anodes, lowering the soil barrier or replacing the anode with a larger one. It is hoped that the results will become a recommendation for companies to solve the problem of low potential value disturbances in cathodic protection.

Abstract

Electronic cigarettes have become a popular alternative for smokers, but research on the pollutants contained in these products remains limited, especially in Indonesia. This study aims to characterise the metal content and radioactive potential of e-liquid from electronic cigarettes marketed in Indonesia. Five e-liquid samples from popular brands were selected based on user surveys and analysed to detect potential hazards. The samples consisted of mango-flavoured saline nicotine e-liquid with a nicotine concentration of 30 mg, which was analysed using neutron activation analysis (NAA) and total alpha and beta radiation measurements. The results showed the presence of heavy metals such as aluminium (Al), titanium (Ti), copper (Cu), nickel (Ni), arsenic (As) and manganese (Mn) with varying concentrations between samples. Aluminium was the dominant metal with the highest concentration reaching 66.256 ± 6.131 µg/g. Although alpha and beta radiation activity was below the detection limit, the presence of certain heavy metals, such as nickel and arsenic, indicates potential health and environmental risks. This study provides valuable insights into the contaminants in e-liquid products in Indonesia, which can be used as a basis for developing regulations to improve product safety.

Abstract

The shipbuilding project is highly complex, involving multiple phases and interdependent activities with extended durations. One of the main challenges in this project is how to design an effective schedule to minimise the completion time without compromising the quality of work. The objective of this study is to analyse the project acceleration of the Machinery Outfitting of Block ASA 2A S of the A Ship at PT. XYZ using Microsoft Project software and the Precedence Diagram Method (PDM). The research process began with the collection of data on job sequences, activity durations and dependencies between activities. This data was processed using PDM to identify the critical path, which consisted of eight main activities: A, B, D, E, G, H, K and M. Through critical path analysis, rescheduling was carried out to accelerate project completion. The results show that the project duration was successfully reduced from the original plan of 61 days to 54 days, enabling PT. XYZ to complete the machinery outfitting of Block ASA 2A S on the A Ship project by 1 September 2020. This improvement increased time and cost efficiency without compromising project quality. This study demonstrates the effectiveness of using Microsoft Project with PDM to manage complex project schedules.

Abstract

PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. faces challenges in assessing the spare parts requirements of different units. The inability to prioritise procurement has led to overstocking of non-critical parts and shortages of essential parts. In addition, there are problems in fulfilling spare parts requests in a timely manner due to unpredictable demand patterns for certain items. Therefore, a systematic approach is needed to analyse spare parts demand characteristics using a combination of ABC, SDE and ADI-CV classifications and to evaluate the effectiveness of the Double Exponential Smoothing (DES) forecasting method. The classification results show that 47 spare parts items fall into the AS and AD categories, which are characterised by high investment values and long procurement lead times, making them top priorities. Demand pattern analysis revealed 42 items with lumpy patterns and irregular intervals, requiring further analysis to accurately estimate spare parts demand. The Double Exponential Smoothing (DES) forecasting method produced forecasts that closely matched actual demand. This combination of classification and forecasting methods effectively prioritises spare parts and optimises strategic decision making in spare parts procurement.
