Abstract

This Community Service (PkM) activity aimed to enhance students’ awareness of the importance of maintaining campus environmental cleanliness through a collective campus clean-up program. The main issue addressed was the low level of students' concern for campus cleanliness, which negatively affects comfort, health, and the overall quality of the academic environment. The activity employed the Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, involving students actively in the planning, implementation, reflection, and evaluation stages. Through this participatory approach, students acted not only as participants but also as key stakeholders who identified problems and collaboratively formulated appropriate solutions. The activities included campus clean-up actions, waste collection and sorting, and educational sessions on environmental cleanliness and proper waste management. The results indicated increased awareness, responsibility, environmental concern, and teamwork among students in maintaining campus cleanliness, thereby fostering a clean, healthy, comfortable, and sustainable academic culture.

Abstract

This community service program (PKM) aims to strengthen family digital literacy through the introduction of parental mediation strategies based on the 3C's framework (Child, Content, Context) at the Rumah Baca Raden Mas Suryowinoto community in Yogyakarta. The phenomenon of reversed socialization among Generation Alpha places parents in a vulnerable position due to low digital self-efficacy, triggering extreme responses of either over-restriction or complete disengagement. The program employed a participatory education method involving 18 mothers aged 38–55 years. Effectiveness was measured using pre-test and post-test instruments comprising five multiple-choice questions. Results showed an increase in average scores from 47 to 89 (scale of 100), indicating improved participant understanding of dialogue-based mediation and greater parental confidence as digital mediators. The 3C's framework proved effective as a practical guide for family mediation, integrating technical competence, psychological readiness, and the quality of parent-child communication.

Abstract

This community service program aims to enhance the legal understanding and awareness of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Dumbo Raya Subdistrict, Gorontalo City, regarding the importance of trademark protection and intellectual property rights (IPR) under Law No. 20 of 2016 on Trademarks and Geographical Indications. The method employed was a participatory educational approach through legal outreach sessions, seminars, interactive discussions, and evaluations based on pre-test and post-test questionnaires. The results of the activity showed that prior to the outreach, the majority of participants had very low levels of legal literacy, both in terms of conceptual understanding of trademarks and technical understanding of the trademark registration process at the Directorate General of Intellectual Property. After the outreach activities were conducted, there was a significant improvement in all aspects of the participants’ legal understanding and awareness. These findings demonstrate that structured and practical legal outreach is an effective tool for promoting IPR literacy and fostering sustained legal compliance among MSME operators.

Abstract

Socio-economic disparities and soaring living costs make it difficult for low-income communities to meet their basic needs. As a solution, the Student Movement for Sharing Care organised a Community Service (PkM) initiative through the distribution of basic foodstuffs and suitable clothing. This programme aims to alleviate the burden on vulnerable groups whilst fostering empathy and social responsibility among students. The method employed is the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach, which optimises local assets, social capital, and active participation from the planning stage through to evaluation. The results indicate that this programme is effective in helping to meet the basic needs of poor families and informal workers. Students also experienced an increase in solidarity and social awareness. Based on an ABCD-based SWOT analysis, the programme’s main strengths lie in the high level of student participation and strong social capital, whilst its challenges include resource constraints and programme sustainability. Overall, this Community Service Programme (PkM) has successfully strengthened social awareness and affirmed the active role of students in the community.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the Balanga Museum as a learning resource for the local history of Central Kalimantan. The method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques through observation, documentation, and literature review, as well as interactive data analysis. The results show that the Balanga Museum houses ethnographic, archaeological, and numismatic collections, such as mandau (a type of sword), lunju (a type of stilt), traditional clothing, balanga (a type of dagger), whale fossils, and rupiah banknotes, representing the history and culture of the Dayak people. These collections serve as contextual learning media that can enhance students' understanding and interest in learning through direct museum experiences. Furthermore, the museum is also utilized as a non-formal learning facility that is both educational and recreational, although optimization through the integration of learning tools is still needed. Thus, the Balanga Museum has the potential to be an effective and contextual source for learning about history.

Abstract

The implementation of Law No. 6 of 2014 on Villages requires village governments to manage public finances transparently, accountably, and responsibly. However, many villages continue to face challenges in strengthening governance and preventing the misuse of village funds. To address these issues, a Community Service Program integrated with Thematic Community Service (KKN) was conducted in Amoito Village, West Ranomeeto District, South Konawe Regency, by implementing the Village Integrity Zone (ZiDes) approach. The program involved KKN students and field supervisors in a series of activities, including socialization, capacity building for village officials, mentoring, and the promotion of village innovation to improve financial governance. The program results demonstrated an increase in the knowledge and awareness of village officials regarding accountability and transparent financial management. Furthermore, the activities strengthened stakeholders' commitment to establishing an efficient, transparent, and accountable village governance system that supports sustainable village development.
