Abstract

This research aims to combine the results of the waistcoat design development and the resulting waistcoat with a combination of plain weave. This research method uses the Double Diamond Model which consists of 4 stages, namely, Discover, Define, Develop, and Deliver. In the initial stage, look for sources of ideas, collect inspiration to make a moodboard. The second stage is to create a moodboard according to the ideas that have been determined. The third stage is developing a waistcoat design with a combination of selected plain weave motifs. The fourth stage is the final stage of data collection by testers and fashion experts. Data collection techniques in the research process use observation sheets. The data analysis technique uses quantitative descriptive analysis techniques using mean or average values. The results of the research show that innovation in waistcoat design with a combination of plain weave can increase the unique and functional value of clothing, providing exploration value in the development of men's clothing with aspect values of 1-4 resulting, namely from the design suitability aspect getting an average value of 4.23, the principle aspect the design received an average value of 4.15, the aspect of suitability of the design with the finished product received an average value of 4.23, and the usability aspect received an average value of 4.15. The results of data collection and analysis show that the design and finished product of the plain weave combination waistcoat was stated to be of interest to the observers and received a good average score.

Abstract

This research introduces a system that tracks full body movements in real-time to interact with virtual objects by combining OpenCV and MediaPipe in the Unity3D game engine. The system aims to overcome the drawbacks of current tracking solutions, which typically need unique hardware and are complicated, thus restricting their usability. The suggested method uses OpenCV for capturing and preparing images, while MediaPipe Pose is chosen for its precise and efficient real-time body landmark detection. The information on the user's body position is sent to Unity3D through a named pipe system, allowing accurate management of a 3D character's actions. Tests on two devices with varying hardware specifications indicated that the system successfully monitors body positions and movements in real-time, enabling interactive interaction with virtual objects in Unity3D. An examination of performance indicated that the processing speed, accuracy of landmark detection, and frame rate are all notably affected by the hardware specifications, especially the processor and GPU. Devices with higher specifications significantly offered a more seamless and speedy user experience. The study suggests that merging OpenCV and MediaPipe provides a precise and effective method for tracking full body movements, suitable for different interactive settings like virtual and augmented reality.

Abstract

Research has been conducted entitled "Application of the Scientific Learning Approach to Improve the Learning Outcomes of Class XI IPA2 Students on Hydrocarbon Material at SMA Negeri 9 Tunas Bangsa Banda Aceh". This research aims to improve student learning outcomes, student activities and determine student responses. The subjects of this research were students of SMA Negeri 9 Banda Aceh in class XI IPA2, totaling 30 students consisting of 17 male students and 13 female students. This type of research is qualitative descriptive research. To determine student learning outcomes on hydrocarbon material, a post-test was carried out at the end of the lesson, observation of student activity through student activity observation sheets and student responses obtained through questionnaires. Based on the research results, the completeness of student learning outcomes through post test questions at the end of learning using a scientific learning approach (scientific approach) on hydrocarbon material was 86.66%, compared to the results before the learning process started, namely 36.6%, so it can be concluded that the application of a scientific learning approach (Scientific Approach) is able to improve learning outcomes. Student activities have also shown an individual level of completion, namely 86.60%. In general, students have followed learning procedures well and provided good overall responses, positive student responses were 95.83% and negative student responses were 4.17%.

Abstract

This research aims to learn more about the impact of gadget use on children's social dynamics in the modern era. This research focuses on students at SD Negeri Bakung II Tangerang, Banten. Descriptive qualitative methods were used in this endeavor to gain a more comprehensive understanding of this phenomenon. Data was collected through in-depth interviews and documentation from a number of people involved, including students from grade 4 to grade 6, teachers, and parents. Individual perceptions and experiences related to device usage were studied through in-depth interviews and documentation, which supplemented the data with relevant information. The results showed that the use of the devices had significant positive impacts, including an increase in students' knowledge through access to additional information However, negative consequences were also found, such as decreased concentration in schoolwork, a tendency to become more introverted, and an increased likelihood of bullying and drug abuse among children. These results were obtained through thematic analysis of the data collected. This research utilized the triangulation method, which involves using multiple sources of data to ensure that the results are consistent. In addition, the study conducted participant testing to obtain feedback and validation on the findings and interpretation of the results. This research emphasizes how important it is for parents and teachers to supervise and teach their children to use electronic devices so that the negative effects can be reduced. It is hoped that this research will provide insights for schools, parents and policy makers in formulating effective strategies to help children's social development in the digital age, as well as encourage the creation of a healthier and more productive environment for future generations.

Abstract

Fuchsia is a flower with a unique shape like "Indian Earrings" and the beauty of contrasting colors and two harmonious color patterns. The research objectives are 1) To describe the process of exploring fuchsia flowers as decoration for party clothing. 2) Find out the results of the exploration of the Fuchsia flower by applying Manipulating Fabric Ruffles and Cording to party clothing. This research method uses the Double Diomond Model which has 4 stages, namely: Discover, the stage of exploring the source of inspiration for the Fuchsia flower, determining the Manipulating Fabric which is made for young women and men with an elegant and classic type. Define, the stage of identifying sources of ideas in presenting Moodboard concepts, and creating illustration designs. Develop, the trial stage through prototyping, creating clothing with detailed clothing, using materials that are not much different in texture from the main material, after that applying Manipulating Fabric Ruffle and Cording techniques. Deliver is the stage of conveying the results of the trial, which shows that making party clothes requires looking at the technique of applying decorative motifs, determining colors and silhouettes to match the inspirational concept that has been created. The results of the research are the results of the suitability of the Manipulating Fabric Ruffle and Cording silhouette shapes in women's and men's party wear, inspired by the Fuchsia flower and displayed in the work event.

Abstract

In this research, the aim of the author is to find out the results of developing the Blue Jay idea source patchwork motif on men's shirts, apart from that, to find out the finished product of the shirt by applying the Blue Jay idea source patchwork motif. The research method used in this research is the double diamond model, where this method has 4 research stages including: discover to carry out research through patchwork motifs, define to carry out research through sources of ideas as inspiration for men's shirts, develop to carry out shirt design development, and stage Lastly, namely deliver, the best design will be selected to be realized. The instrument or data collection tool uses a questionnaire containing a number of questions that must be answered or responded to by the respondent. The instrument used in this research is design selection through a questionnaire for Innovation in Patchwork Motifs on Men's Shirts with the Idea Source Blue Jay. Observation of the finished shirt results was also carried out through a questionnaire which was assessed by 50 male respondents aged 18-26 years. The analysis technique used is descriptive with the presentation of average or mean data. The finished result is the development of an innovative design for Patchwork Motifs on Men's Shirts with the Bluejay Idea Source in accordance with the moodboard. The finished result of Patchwork Motif Innovation on Men's Shirts with the Bluejay Idea Source is in the very good category. The patchwork motif development design only uses rectangular and triangular geometric shapes so there is still a lack of design development.

Abstract

This study introduces an advanced system for classifying Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) banknotes using Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs). By harnessing sophisticated image processing techniques, the system analyzes surface patterns on banknotes and categorizes them based on distinct visual features to determine their denominations. The research utilizes a comprehensive dataset containing 1190 images across various IDR denominations, captured at a standardized resolution of 224x224 pixels. Prior to model training, meticulous data preprocessing techniques such as resizing, augmentation, and normalization are employed to optimize dataset quality and enhance model robustness. The CNN architecture is specifically designed with convolutional and pooling layers to automatically extract intricate features from banknote images, culminating in a softmax output layer for precise classification. Training the model through multiple epochs ranging from 50 to 150 showcases notable enhancements in accuracy, achieving up to 100% accuracy with minimal loss, indicative of its reliable performance. This research underscores the effectiveness of CNNs in automating banknote classification tasks, promising improved accuracy and efficiency in real-world applications.

Abstract

This study examines the politeness strategies employed by students when communicating with lecturers via the social media platform WhatsApp. Based on a literature review, it was found that students tend to apply positive politeness strategies by using warm greetings, formal language, and politeness markers such as "please" and "excuse me." Additionally, students adapt to digital technology features, such as emoji use and message timing, as a form of respect towards lecturers. These findings suggest that, despite WhatsApp's informal nature, students maintain politeness in their interactions with lecturers to preserve a positive relationship. The study highlights the importance of understanding digital politeness etiquette within academic communication.

Abstract

Various types of diseases can occur on farms. One of the diseases in livestock is caused by infection with parasites and parasitic worm eggs. This parasite can attack the stomach organ tissue in cattle and can even spread to other organ tissue such as the liver, lungs, and even the brain. The aim of this research was to identify various types of parasites and estimate their occurrence in cow dung in Tuntungan 2 Village, Pancur Batu District, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra Province. Twenty samples of cow dung were used. Sampling was carried out randomly, by collecting 10 grams of feces at each location. Floating, Sedimentation, and Mc Master methods are used in the identification process. apply parasite prevalence models to data analysis calculations. Research findings show that parasitic worms are found in animal feces in Tuntungan 2 Village. There are 3 types of worms found, namely: Trichostrongylus sp. Bunostomum sp and Oesophagostum sp. Meanwhile, 4 types of worm eggs were found, namely Eimeria sp, Oesophagostum sp, Bunostomum sp, and Trichostrongylus sp. T1 sample location is 0.45% which is more dominant. The prevalence of infection is quite high. With the degree of infection of all species in the heavy category, the degree of infection was most often found at the T1 sample location which had a very high number of parasitic worm eggs.

Abstract

The research instrument used in this research was a questionnaire sheet. The research instruments used in this study included the Pittsburg Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) questionnaire to assess sleep quality, the NASA-Tlx questionnaire to assess workload, and stress levels which were measured using a Likert scale questionnaire. The analysis of this research was carried out using quantitative descriptive statistics, namely measurements carried out to determine lifestyle (X1) and task intensity (X2) on the operator's stress level (Y). So multiple regression analysis will be carried out with Multivariate analysis using (Methodatic Regression Analysis). The research results showed that there was no significant relationship between the lifestyle variables (X1) and task intensity (X2) on the stress level variable (Y). The expected suggestion is that further studies be carried out with operator age characteristics of 35-40 years and the middle age classification is considered the peak period of productivity and experience. Considering that in this study the operator's age was still relatively young, namely 26-28 years. This is thought to affect sleep quality and stress levels as we age. By comparing data from different age groups, companies can develop policies that are more effective in safeguarding operator well-being throughout an operator's career. Apart from that, further research is needed by considering various influencing factors such as psychological factors and quantitative stress level testing tools.
