Abstract

This study aims to understand the perceptions and experiences of students of SMPIT Sahabat Alam regarding Green Education and the Eco-School program. The background emphasizes the importance of environmental education in addressing global issues, encouraging educational institutions to shape an environmentally conscious generation. This study explores how students perceive ecological education in their schools. The method used is a qualitative approach with a case study design, through in-depth interviews with fifteen students and participant observation of Eco-School activities. The results show that students have a favorable view of Green Education and Eco-School, considering them relevant and providing meaningful learning experiences. Students reported increased awareness, motivation, and positive behavior towards the environment. This paper provides a comprehensive overview of the effectiveness of environmental education programs in secondary schools and factors that influence student participation. Recommendations include developing more interactive programs and collaboration between schools and communities to strengthen the impact of environmental education on shaping students' sustainable attitudes.

Abstract

This study examines the pedagogical and professional competencies of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in the digital learning era. Although artificial intelligence (AI) can support the learning process, many teachers have not utilized it optimally due to limited digital literacy and a lack of training. This study aimed to evaluate the impact of AI use on the competencies of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers. The method used was quantitative with a descriptive correlational approach, involving 50 Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in Yogyakarta selected by purposive sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov normality test, Pearson correlation, and simple linear regression using SPSS. The results showed that the use of AI significantly affected the competencies of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers, with a p-value of 0.014 and r-value of 0.347, and a contribution of 12%. This finding highlights the importance of training and policies supporting AI integration in education. Continuous support in training and proactive education policies are essential to maximize the use of AI.

Abstract

This article discusses the nature of learning and instruction as the foundation of education. Research shows that learning is a complex process involving behavior, knowledge, attitudes, skills, and values ​​that change through experience and social interaction. This article aims to understand the differences between learning and instruction and their educational interrelationships. Instruction is a systematic process designed to support learning activities, in which the teacher acts as a facilitator and motivator. The method used is a literature review that analyzes various learning theories, such as behaviorist, cognitive, constructivist, and humanistic, which assist in the design of effective instruction. The research findings emphasize the importance of basic principles in learning, such as individuality, motivation, material relevance, student engagement, and formative evaluation. This article also highlights the importance of a supportive learning environment, effective communication between teachers and students, and innovative learning strategies. Recommendations include training for educators to create an optimal environment for students.

Abstract

This study analyzes the stages of human maturity, focusing on adolescent and adult development from a psychological perspective. The maturational process is a complex journey involving physical, cognitive, emotional, and social changes. Adolescence is characterized by the search for identity and emotional instability, while adulthood reflects personality stability and social responsibility. This study explores the differences between psychological and biological maturity and the factors influencing them. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach through a literature review that analyzes theories and empirical findings in human development. The results indicate that psychological maturity does not always align with biological maturity; environmental factors, culture, and individual experiences significantly influence personality characteristics. These findings provide deeper insights into the dynamics of human development that can be applied in education, counseling, and psychological interventions. Recommendations include developing educational programs that address individual differences in psychological maturity to support optimal development.

Abstract

A thorough understanding of individual learner characteristics is crucial in contemporary education, given their impact on learning effectiveness. The increasingly complex diversity of learners, driven by socio-cultural and technological factors, demands a comprehensive identification and analysis of the factors shaping individual characteristics and their implications for teaching practices. Research gaps in integrating empirical findings for holistic intervention models remain apparent. This study aims to analyze the determinants of individual learner characteristics, drawing on the genetic-environmental interactionism framework and the theory of multiple intelligences, and evaluate their implications for the development of differentiated teaching strategies to optimize learning outcomes. This study employed a comprehensive literature review design, drawing on primary and secondary sources from leading academic databases. Data were analyzed thematically using qualitative content analysis to identify patterns and relationships between variables. Key findings indicate that individual characteristics are dynamic products of genetic and environmental interactions, contributing significantly to learning styles and intelligence profiles. This diversity is positively correlated with the need for differentiated teaching approaches, which require adaptation of materials, methods, and evaluation. The integration of adaptive learning technologies has also been identified as enhancing the engagement and achievement of diverse learners. Individual characteristics are multifaceted constructs that require serious attention in pedagogy. It is recommended to develop an evidence-based framework for curriculum planning that is responsive to individual diversity, and to enhance teacher professionalism in learning differentiation strategies and the use of adaptive technology.

Abstract

Cognitive development is a fundamental aspect of early childhood education, laying the foundation for future mastery of thinking, reasoning, and problem-solving skills. However, observations indicate that children's numeracy skills in early childhood education institutions remain relatively low due to the dominance of conventional, passive learning. This study aims to improve children's cognitive development, particularly numeracy skills, through the application of loose parts play media such as bottle caps, small stones, used cardboard, and small pieces of wood. The research method used was the Kemmis and McTaggart Classroom Action Research (CAR) model, conducted in two cycles in Kober Cempaka Putih, Pamarican District, Ciamis Regency, from August to September 2025, with 20 children (12 girls and 8 boys) as subjects. Data collection techniques included structured observation, documentation, and field notes, while data analysis used descriptive qualitative and quantitative methods, with percentages of developmental achievements. The results showed significant improvement in each cycle. In the pre-cycle, 35% of children were in the Beginning to Develop (MB) category, and only 20% achieved Very Good Development (BSB). After the first cycle, the MB category decreased to 25%, and the BSB category increased to 25%. In the second cycle, there were no more children in the MB category, with 75% of children achieving BSB and 25% in the Developing According to Expectations (BSH) category. These findings confirm that loose parts media effectively improve early childhood numeracy skills while fostering motivation, creativity, and enthusiasm in the learning process.

Abstract

Early Childhood Education (PAUD) plays a fundamental role in shaping an individual's holistic development, encompassing cognitive, physical-motor, socio-emotional, language, and character and moral values. The success of PAUD relies heavily on the synergy between two key ecosystems: the family and the educational institution. However, in practice, collaboration between these two parties often faces challenges, such as role perception gaps and suboptimal communication, which can hinder a child's development. The Independent Curriculum policy increasingly emphasizes the active role of families, but its implementation remains hampered by parents' limited time and a vague understanding of the partnership's scope. This study aims to explore and analyze in depth the dynamics of the teacher-parent partnership at RA Al-Manshuriyah. Using a qualitative case study design, the research involved in-depth interviews with teachers, parents, and the principal, as well as participant observation and documentation. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing, and verification. The research findings are expected to map the forms of collaboration implemented, identify stakeholders' perceptions of their effectiveness and benefits, and uncover the driving factors and obstacles encountered. The results of this study are expected to provide concrete recommendations to strengthen synergistic, sustainable partnerships that support optimal early childhood development at RA Al-Manshuriyah and similar institutions.

Abstract

This research is set against the backdrop of the complexity of modern challenges, including pluralism, social fragmentation, environmental degradation, and the crisis of spiritual meaning, which demand a holistic framework. Ibn Arabi's Sufi thought, particularly the concept of Wahdat al-Wujud, is considered to have great potential to offer transformative solutions. The purpose of this research is to reconstruct Ibn Arabi's contemporary Sufi thought, analyze its relevance to addressing these challenges, and examine its implications for education. The methodology is a qualitative approach that includes in-depth textual analysis of Ibn Arabi's main works (Futuhat al-Makkiyah, Fusus al-Hikam), literature reviews, interviews with contemporary Sufi experts, contextual analysis of modern challenges, and case studies of the application of Sufi thought. The results show that the concept of Wahdat al-Wujud provides a philosophical, ethical, and spiritual foundation for appreciating diversity (pluralism), overcoming spiritual alienation and identity crises, and fostering ecological awareness for environmental sustainability. The concept of the Perfect Man offers an ideal model of a human being capable of balancing spiritual and material dimensions and internalizing universal values. Mystical experiences are also considered relevant in providing a deeper meaning to life. Overall, Ibn Arabi's thought offers an inclusive, transformative, and sustainable spiritual framework that can be integrated into modern spiritual discourse, including in the educational realm. The main recommendation of this research is to integrate Ibn Arabi's Sufi principles into educational curricula to develop individuals with holistic, tolerant, environmentally conscious characters and spiritual depth to face the complexities of the times.

Abstract

This study examines the comparative philosophy of multicultural education in the context of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in Indonesia and Singapore. Amidst increasingly complex societal diversity, understanding and implementing multicultural education are crucial, particularly in shaping students' character as tolerant and inclusive. The background to this research problem is the need to examine how the two countries, with different social and cultural contexts, integrate the principles of multicultural education into Islamic Religious Education. The main objective of this study is to analyze and compare the philosophical foundations of multicultural education underlying Islamic Religious Education in Indonesia and Singapore, and to identify similarities and differences. The research method is a qualitative comparative study using content analysis of educational policy documents, Islamic Religious Education curricula, and relevant academic literature from both countries. The results show that Indonesia, with its Pancasila philosophy, tends to prioritize inclusivity and tolerance in Islamic Religious Education, reflecting internal diversity. Meanwhile, Singapore emphasizes social cohesion and national identity through multicultural education integrated into general religious subjects. While they differ in philosophical emphases, both share the common goal of creating a harmonious society. This research recommends strengthening intercultural philosophical dialogue in the development of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) curricula in both countries to promote a deeper understanding of universal human values.
