Abstract

Globalization as a gate opens boundaries that allow the world to transact values, culture, knowledge, economy, and others. Globalization creates a world without barriers so that it has positive and negative impacts, including for Islamic educational institutions. Globalization provides openness for the wide spread of knowledge but also opens global currents that allow students to be affected by bad behavior such as juvenile delinquency. Globalization brings technological developments that can help improve the quality of education but can also be a threat if educational institutions are unable to develop the required skills. Therefore, Islamic educational institutions must use strategic management to face global challenges. The aim of this research is to reveal strategic management that can be applied in Islamic educational institutions in facing the era of globalization. The type of research used is a qualitative research method with a literature study research model. The results of this study found that the strategic management of Islamic educational institutions that can be carried out to face global challenges is to create technology-based educational institutions and strengthen character education.

Abstract

The duties and obligations of the school principal include ensuring that religious activities in schools are carried out effectively. Religious activities are an important part of education because they can help students develop a thorough understanding of religious beliefs and strengthen their religious identity. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects were school principals, vice principals for curriculum and student affairs, and teaching staff. Data is analysed by condensing it (data condensation), presenting it (data display), and drawing conclusions or verifying them (conclusion drawing and verification). The results of the study show that the principal's strategy in implementing Perbup No. 37 of 2022 concerning religious activities includes: 1) cooperating with partnerships from around educational institutions; 2) providing socialisation to committees and student guardians about the importance of religious activities; and 3) publishing or giving awards to students who have graduated tahfidz.

Abstract

Various educational problems exist caused by the need to strengthen students' character, one of which is the weakening of religious morality. To instil these religious character values, a character-strengthening strategy is needed, as in Madrasah Aliyah Darul Ulum; character strengthening is carried out through the development of muhadharah programs. Based on this, the research aims to determine the strategy and impact of developing the muhadharah program at MA Darul Ulum Wanayasa to strengthen students' religious character. This research uses a mixed method with ADDIE analysis techniques and religious character theory from Charles Y. Glock dan Rodney W. Stark. Based on the study, the muhadharah development program strategy already has a pattern of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Second, the impact of the muhadharah program development strategy can influence strengthening students' religious character aspects of student obedience, increasing student tolerance, and students' harmonious character.

Abstract

The qurban worship performed by Muslims on a regular basis should be able to improve their quality as a Muslim, thus the qurban worship that is carried out is not only value-free rituals but is able to provide positive value to life as a Muslim. This study aims to take part of the educational values contained in the qurban worship, precisely from the Al-Qur'an letter Ash-Shafat verse 102. The method used in this research is descriptive analysis, namely by observing in detail and in depth the description berqurban from the Qur'an in terms of linguistic and interpretive approaches. The results of this study showed that the educational values of the verse in terms of interaction between a teacher and a student must be able to build a dialogical, open, and calming atmosphere.

Abstract

Education is the key to the progress of a nation. Developed countries are usually followed by advanced education. To realize competitive education, it must be supported by quality educational institutions. Quality here means having adequate facilities and infrastructure, supporting human resources, a curriculum that is in accordance with the needs or changing times and so on. The government, in this case, must not remain silent in supporting the national education system so that Indonesia is able to compete with other countries with advanced education systems.

Abstract

Mahad Aisyah is a special campus for Muslimah which has one study program namely women's/family Sharia Law. It has several community service activities such as training, literacy strengthening, community economic empowerment and workshops. The purpose of this research is to determine the performance of community service, the role of the surrounding community, especially in improving the quality of human resources, and strategies for developing sustainable education . This research uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The research data was obtained from interviews with achievement indicators obtained from the guidelines of the Director General of Research and Technology and Higher Education and selected articles. The results of the research show that community service performance still needs to be developed. Mahad Aisyah is included in the category of Satisfactory Predicate. Community service activities are more on the religious and humanitarian side, as well as sustainable development as an international campus.

Abstract

Al-Fatah is a traditional Islamic education (Islamic boarding school) based on a Salafi approach. In the research process, this article focuses on the problems that have been formulated related to social marketing and marketing strategies implemented by Al-Fatah Islamic Boarding School. This study aims to 1) identify educational marketing strategies at Al-Fatah Islamic Boarding School and 2) analyze social marketing to improve educational strategies in a competitive era. This research method uses qualitative research developed by descriptive analysis. This study found that educational marketing carried out by Al-Fatah consisted of ten (10) types: Kyai, publications (Mass Media, Banners, Brochures, Calendars), social media (Facebook, Website, WhatsApp), community participation, and alumni. Seeing the development of education in a competitive era, pesantren leaders have responded to these conditions. For example, he established a well-established formal education (RA, MTs, and MA) and several support activities for students, including Student Organizations, Scouts, Student Health Organizations, Sports, Music, Marawis, Computer Courses, Muhadharah, and Qira'ah Al-Qur'an.

Abstract

Motivation is a crucial element that drives enthusiasm for a teacher's work. However, a decrease in motivation can result in a lack of enthusiasm for learning innovation, with the impact mainly felt by students through monotonous and less varied learning. As a leader, the principal is expected to play a vital role in building and maintaining teacher motivation. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach focusing on the organizational climate and the role of the madrasa head in increasing teacher work motivation at MIN 1 Ponorogo. This research aims to determine the madrasa head’s role in increasing teacher motivation. The research results show that an excellent organizational climate, mainly through democratic leadership, positively impacts teacher performance. The madrasa head at MIN 1 Ponorogo is influential in providing motivation, involving teachers in decision-making, and creating a collaborative work environment.

Abstract

Risk management is a critical approach in recognizing, evaluating and managing potential risks that may occur, especially in various sectors, including the education sector. The risk management approach requires careful planning, implementation of appropriate policies, and active involvement of all stakeholders with open communication. The primary strategy for facing challenges in the digital era involves training teaching staff in technology, developing a curriculum integrated with digital content, and administrative risk management. As a complex environment involving various parties, schools have risks that must be managed carefully to ensure the safety and welfare of students. This research uses qualitative methods by obtaining information through interviews with one public relations staff at Al Hadi Vocational School and referring to various literature. This research aims to understand risk management and the challenges Al Hadi Vocational School faced in Bandung in the digital era. The study results show that Al-Hadi Vocational School has implemented digitalization in schools by involving all educators expected to master technology. This digitalization is carried out to support effective teaching and minimize risks in ensuring student safety and welfare.
