Abstract

This research was conducted based on the results of initial observations through interviews with Biology subject teachers for class X at Trana Christian High School, it was found that the implementation of the 2013 curriculum in schools had not been going well, because teachers often used lecture methods, and discussions in the learning process . This affects the analytical thinking ability of students. The purpose of this study was to determine the analytical thinking ability of students of class X MIA Christian High School Trana through Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning (POGIL) and Discovery Learning on the Classification of Living Things. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research, with the research subjects are all students of class X MIA Christian High School Trana, totaling 23 people. Data collection techniques used in this study were observation sheets, tests, questionnaires, and documentation.The results showed that the analytical thinking skills of 23 students of class X MIA Christian High School Trana through the integration of POGIL learning and Discovery Learning obtained an average total score presentation of 80% of students in the good category, and 20% in the fairly good category. Abstrak. Penelitian ini dilakukan berdasarkan hasil observasi awal melalui wawancara dengan guru mata pelajaran Biologi kelas X di SMA Kristen Trana diketahui bahwa, penerapan kurikulum 2013 di sekolah belum berjalan dengan baik, dikarenakan guru sering menggunakan metode ceramah, dan diskusi dalam proses pembelajaran. Hal ini berpengaruh pada kemampuan berpikir analisis  peserta didik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kemampuan berpikir analisis peserta didik kelas X MIA SMA Kristen Trana melalui pembelajaran Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning (POGIL) dan Discovery Learning pada materi Klasifikasi Makhluk Hidup. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualititatif, dengan subjek penelitian adalah seluruh  peserta didik kelas X MIA SMA Kristen Trana yang berjumlah 23 orang. Teknik pengumpulan  data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar observasi, tes, penyebaran angket, dan dokumentasi. Hasil Penelitian menunjukan bahwa kemampuan berpikir analisis dari 23 peserta didik kelas X MIA SMA Kristen Trana melalui integrasi pembelajaran POGIL dan Discovery Learning memperoleh rata-rata presentasi  skor total peserta didik 80% dengan kategori baik,  dan 20% berada pada kategori cukup baik.

Abstract

From the search of several research articles on science process skills of junior high school students, it is seen that the average results of the pretest scores. The average science process skills value of students from 2015 to 2020 is still low, which is around 41.07%. This research was conducted to see the effectiveness of the application of the guided inquiry learning model on students' science process skills in science subjects in junior high school. The method used for the study of literature is the analysis of several sources in the form of national research journals relating to the application of the guided inquiry learning model for science learning in junior high schools. Data analysis using the Miles & Huberman model, through the following stages; Record all the findings of the guided inquiry aspect and the results of the science process skills, Review the records of the documentation results, describe the classified data and make a final analysis in the form of a research report. Based on the analysis that has been carried out, it can be concluded that: 1) The guided inquiry learning model is effective in increasing the science process skills in science subjects in junior high schools in the medium category; 2) Materials about vibrations and waves are more effectively used with guided inquiry learning models than other materials to improve science process skills for junior high school students; 3) The guided inquiry learning model is effective, especially if it is used to improve the science process skills of junior high school students in the aspect of observing/ observing. Abstrak. Dari penelusuran beberapa artikel penelitian tentang Keterampilan Proses Sains (KPS) siswa SMP, terlihat hasil rata-rata nilai pretest. Nilai rata-rata KPS siswa Tahun 2015 sampai dengan Tahun 2020 masih rendah yaitu sekitar  41,07%. Penelitian ini dilakukan ntuk melihat efektivitas penerapan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing  terhadap KPS siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA SMP. Metode yang digunakan untuk studi literatur yaitu analisis beberapa sumber berupa jurnal-jurnal penelitian nasional yang berkenaan dengan penerapan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing untuk pembelajaran IPA di SMP. Analisis data menggunakan model Miles & Huberman, melalui tahapan-tahapan sebagai berikut; Mencatat semua temuan aspek inkuiri terbimbing dan hasil KPS, Menelaah kembali catatan hasil dokumentasi, Mendeskripsikan data yang telah diklasifikasikan dan Membuat analisis akhir dalam bentuk laporan hasil penelitian. Berdasarkan analisis yang telah dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa: 1) Model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing efektif untuk meningkatkan KPS pada mata pelajaran IPA di SMP dengan kategori sedang; 2) Materi tentang getaran dan gelombang lebih efektif digunakan dengan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing daripada materi lainnya untuk meningkatkan KPS siswa SMP; 3) Model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing efektif terutama jika digunakan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains siswa SMP pada aspek mengamati/ melakukan observasi.

Abstract

The Industrial Revolution 4.0 or The Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) is a concept of developing education through the use of technological developments. The quality of education must be continuously improved through the transformation of the educational paradigm which emphasizes learning oriented to higher order thinking skills or often referred to as Higher Order Thinking Skills. One way to improve the quality of education is practicum activities using practicum Student Worksheets (LKS). This study aims to provide an overview of the problems of blood structure practicum worksheets in high school. This research is a qualitative descriptive study and the subject of this research is the worksheets of blood structure practicum. The sampling technique used was total sampling, the sample consisted of 6 LKS. The instruments used include relevance analysis instruments, competency analysis and practical analysis as well as knowledge construction analysis. Based on the results of the analysis and trial of the work steps on one of the DKL regarding the material for plant growth and development, several shortcomings were found. These shortcomings are found in the work steps, tools and materials used and the presentation of observational data for most of the DKL. The reconstruction of DKL produces alternatives to DKL for plant growth and development by considering and completing the shortcomings of the analysis results from DKL that have been analyzed. This DKL reconstruction is expected to be able to construct students' knowledge well through practical activities carried out and be able to get 4C skills or 21st century skills needed today. Abstrak. Revolusi Industri 4.0 atau The Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) merupakan konsep pengembangan pendidikan melalui pemanfaatan perkembangan teknologi. Mutu pendidikan harus terus ditingkatkan melalui transformasi paradigma pendidikan yang menekankan pada pembelajaran berorientasi keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi atau sering disebut dengan Higher Order Thinking Skills. Salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan yaitu dengan kegiatan praktikum menggunakan Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS) praktikum. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran mengenai permasalahan LKS praktikum struktur darah di SMA. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dan subjek penelitian ini adalah LKS praktikum struktur darah. Teknik sampling yang digunakan yaitu total sampling, sampel terdiri dari 6 LKS. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi instrumen analisis relevansi, analisis kompetensi dan analisis praktikal serta analisis konstruksi pengetahuan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dan uji coba Langkah kerja terhadap salah satu DKL. mengenai materi pertumbuhan dan perkembangan tumbuhan ditemukan beberapa kekurangan. Kekurangan tersebut didapatkann pada langkah kerja, alat dan bahan yang digunakan serta penyajian data pengamatan Sebagian besar DKL. Rekontruksi DKL menghasilkan alternatif DKL pertumbuhan dan perkembangan tumbuhan dengan mempertimbangkan dan melengkapi kekurangan hasil analisis dari DKL yang sudah di analisis. Rekontruksi DKL ini diharapkan mampu mengkontruksi pengetahuan peserta didik dengan baik melalui kegiatan praktikum yang dilakukan serta mampu mendapatkan keterampilan 4C atau keterampilan abad 21 yang dibutuhkan saat ini.

Abstract

This study aims to innovate learning through information technology, especially related to the development of learning models through applications or video conferencing. The research method used is a qualitative method with a study of literature (documents) on the results of previous research. The data collection in this study by browsing books and journals in several print and electronic media such as books, journal collections, libraries and the internet. The results showed that the innovation of the 5E learning cycle learning model using gathering towns can be done in learning as a support for student motivation and teacher convenience in improving learning. Abstrak. Abad 21 dicirikan dengan berkembangnya informasi secara digital. Pembelajaran di abad 21 harus dapat mempersiapkan generasi manusia menyongsong kemajuan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan inovasi pembelajaran melalui teknologi informasi, terutama terkait dengan pengembangan model pembelajaran melalui aplikasi platform atau video conference. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode studi literatur (dokumen) atas hasil penelitian sebelumnya. Adapun pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dengan menelusuri buku-buku dan jurnal-jurnal pada beberapa media cetak maupun elektronik seperti buku, koleksi jurnal, perpustakaan dan internet. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa inovasi model pembelajaran learning cycle 5E menggunakan gather town dapat dilakukan dalam pembelajaran sebagai penunjang untuk meningkatkan motivasi siswa dan mempermudah guru dalam mengkoordinasikan pembelajaran.

Abstract

Learning system during a pandemic requires everything to be done online. This is a challenge for teachers to continue applying certain learning methods without eliminating the essence and purpose of the method. The innovation of the field trip method with technology application is expected to be an alternative of learning. Thus, this study aims to analyze the effectiveness of using the PlantNet Application on identifying and classifying of Spermatophyte Plants. This study used a qualitative descriptive method and the subjects of this research are high school students of grade X. The analyzed aspects in this research are learning outcomes, PlantNet use and user responses. The results of this study indicate that 88% of students achieve good result and this can be stated as a successful learning innovation based on individual completeness. Regarding the use of PlantNet, almost all of the indicators received very good ratings by students. For user responses, teachers and students have a good to very good response to the use of the PlantNet application. Abstrak. Pembelajaran di masa pandemi mengharuskan segala sesuatu dilakukan secara daring. Hal ini menjadi tantangan bagi guru untuk tetap menerapkan metode pembelajaran tertentu tanpa harus menghilangkan esensi dan tujuan dari metode tersebut. Inovasi metode field trip dengan bantuan aplikasi diharapkan menjadi sebuah alternatif pembelajaran. Sehingga, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas penggunaan aplikasi PlantNet pada materi identifikasi dan klasifikasi Spermatophyta. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan subjek penelitian Siswa SMA Kelas X. Aspek-aspek yang dianalisis yaitu hasil belajar, fungsi PlantNet dan respon pengguna. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan 88% siswa mencapai ketuntasan belajar atau lebih dari ketuntasan individu 85%, sehingga pembelajaran dikatakan berhasil. Terkait fungsi PlantNet, hampir semua indikator fungsi memperoleh penilaian yang sangat baik oleh siswa. Untuk respon pengguna, guru dan siswa  memiliki respon yang baik hingga sangat baik terhadap penggunaan aplikasi PlantNet.

Abstract

Interpersonal competence is the ability to communicate in interacting with other humans to achieve certain goals. Interpersonal competence is very important for every student to have so that their abilities can develop and be well conveyed. In addition to cognitive abilities that student need to develop, interactions during adolescence are also important because without good interactions, adolescents will lose relationships with the people around them. The purpose of this study was to determine the interpersonal competence of seventh grade students in one of the schools in the city of Sukabumi on global warming material based on gender. This study used a quantitative descriptive method, with a sample of 31 students, formed into 6 groups. The instrument used was an observation sheet consisting of 10 statements developed from 5 indicators. In learning, students are formed in groups to make a simple practical video. The indicators in the instrument consist of the ability to initiate (Initiation), the ability to be assertive (Negative assertion), the ability to be open (self-disclosure), the ability to provide support to others (emotional support), and the ability to manage conflict (Conflict management). From the result of the research that has been done, the scores of all groups are quite good. The highest value is 85, the lowest value is 72,5. The greatest score per indicator is in providing support to others (Emotional support) and managing conflict (Conflict management) of 79%, while the lowest score is 73% on open indicators (self-disclosure). Based on gender, female students obtained higher interpersonal competence scroe than male students, this can be caused by several factors such as interaction with parents, education, age, environmental influences and desires of the individual, and extroverted personality. Abstrak. Kompetensi interpersonal merupakan kemampuan berkomunikasi dalam berinteraksi dengan manusia lain untuk mencapai tujuan tertentu. Kompetensi interpersonal sangat penting untuk dimiliki setiap siswa agar kemampuan yang dimilikinya dapat berkembang dan tersampaikan secara baik. Selain kemampuan kognitif yang perlu dikembangkan oleh siswa, interaksi pada masa remaja pun menjadi hal penting karena tanpa adanya interaksi yang baik, remaja akan kehilangan relasi dengan orang-orang di sekitarnya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui kompetensi interpersonal siswa kelas VII disalah satu sekolah yang ada di kota Sukabumi pada materi pemanasan global berdasarkan gender. Penelitian ini memakai metode deskriptif kuantitatif, dengan sampel sebanyak 31 siswa, dibentuk menjadi 6 kelompok. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa lembar observasi yang terdiri dari 10 pernyataan yang dikembangkan dari 5 indikator. Dalam pembelajarannya siswa dibentuk kelompok untuk membuat sebuah video praktikum sederhana. Indikator dalam instrumen terdiri dari kemampuan berinisiasi (Initiation), kemampuan bersikap asertif (Negative assertion), kemampuan bersikap terbuka (self-disclosure), kemampuan memberi dukungan kepada orang lain (Emotional support), dan kemampuan mengelola konflik (Conflict management). Dari hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan, nilai semua kelompok cukup baik. Nilai tertinggi sebesar 85, nilai terendah sebesar 72,5. Perolehan skor per indikator yang terbesar terdapat pada memberi dukungan kepada orang lain (Emotional support) dan mengelola konflik (Conflict management) sebesar 79%, sedangkan skor terendah yaitu 73% pada indikator bersikap terbuka (Self-disclosure). Berdasarkan gender siswa perempuan memperoleh skor kompetensi interpersonal lebih tinggi daripada siswa laki-laki, ini dapat disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor seperti, interaksi dengan orang tua, pendidikan, umur, pengaruh sekeliling dan keinginan dari diri individu tersebut, dan kepribadian yang ekstrovert.

Abstract

Student worksheet (LKPD) is a teaching material which can be developed by a teacher to be used in learning process. Based on the observation result in SMAN 2 Kota Jambi, most of the students are still struggling in understanding the human respiratory system material. Electronic LKPD or e-LKPD contains learning material with images and videos which make students learn easier. Teaching material such as e-LKPD can be integrated with scientific approach which stimulates students’ involvement in learning process. This research aims to develop scientific based e-LKPD for human respiratory system material for Senior High School grade XI, to find out about the properness, teachers’ and students’ response, and the effectiveness of e-LKPD in improving learning outcomes.  The development of e-LKPD used ADDIE model which consists of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The e-LKPD product has been validated by the media and material experts with very good result. The result of biology teacher’s response and the result of students’ trial on small and big group showed very good result. The result of effectiveness test using paired sample t test showed that there is an effect of using scientific based e-LKPD on human respiratory system material in improving student learning’s outcomes. Thus, scientific based e-LKPD for human respiratory system material is an appropriate teaching material and can improve students’ learning outcomes. Abstrak. Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) merupakan bahan ajar yang dapat dikembangkan oleh guru untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Berdasarkan observasi di SMAN 2 Kota Jambi, sebagian peserta didik mengalami kesulitan dalam  memahami materi sistem pernapasan manusia. LKPD elektronik atau e-LKPD memuat materi pembelajaran yang dilengkapi dengan gambar serta video  yang memudahkan dalam memahami materi tersebut. Bahan ajar seperti e-LKPD dapat diintegrasikan dengan pendekatan saintifik yang merangsang keterlibatan peserta didik dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan e-LKPD berbasis saintifik materi sistem pernapasan pada manusia kelas XI SMA, mengetahui kelayakan, mengetahui respon guru dan peserta didik serta mengetahui efektivitas e-LKPD yang dikembangkan dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar. Pengembangan e-LKPD menggunakan model ADDIE yang terdiri dari tahap analysis, design, development, implementation dan evaluation. Produk e-LKPD divalidasi oleh ahli media dan ahli materi dengan perolehan hasil sangat baik. Hasil respon guru biologi serta ujicoba kelompok kecil dan kelompok besar diperoleh hasil sangat baik. Hasil uji efektivitas menggunakan uji paired sample t test menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh penggunaan e-LKPD berbasis saintifik materi sistem pernapasan pada manusia dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar. Dengan demikian e-LKPD berbasis saintifik materi sistem pernapasan pada manusia yang dikembangkan layak digunakan sebagai bahan ajar dan dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik.

Abstract

Module development is a process of developing procedural knowledge in creating meaningful learning. Learning is developed to obtain multidisciplinary learning, student-centered, active and critical, changes in interactive learning patterns. In the learning process with a STEM approach, information is formed through collaboration and creativity. Students use skills and learning processes in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics in their thinking processes to solve problems. This development aims to determine procedures, designs, student responses and teacher assessments in increasing creativity. Development of the biodiversity module with the STEM approach using the Project Based Learning model on biodiversity material in SMA Negeri 2 Jambi City by adapting the ADDIE model. The research instruments used were interview sheets, open and closed questionnaires, and a daily log. The product developed is a Biodiversity Module with a STEM approach. The module was validated by three teams of experts and declared feasible then the teacher's assessment had a kappa value of 0.74 in a good category. The results of one-on-one trials for project one have a percentage of 82.08% in the category of "Very feasible" and project two have a percentage of 89.05% with the category "Very feasible". The results of the small group trial had a kappa value for project one of 0.81 which was in the very good category and for project two had a kappa value of 0.42 in the medium category. Based on the results of the observations of two teachers on project one in increasing the creativity of students, it has a kappa value of 0.74 with a good category. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that the module with the STEM approach was categorized as good so that it could increase the creativity of students, and the module with the STEM approach was suitable for use as a media for learning biology. Abstrak. Pengembangan modul merupakan proses pengembangan pengetahuan prosedural dalam menciptakan pembelajaran yang bermakna. Pembelajaran dikembangkan guna memperoleh pembelajaran yang bersifat multidisiplin ilmu, berpusat kepada peserta didik, aktif dan kritis, perubahan pola pembelajaran interaktif. Pada proses pembelajaran berpendekatan STEM informasi dibentuk melalui kolaboratif dan kreativitas. Peserta didik menggunakan keterampilan dan proses belajar dalam ilmu pengetahuan, teknologi, teknik, dan matematika dalam proses berpikir untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan. Pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui prosedur, desain, respon peserta didik dan penilaian guru dalam meningkatkan kreativitas. Pengembangan modul kenakaragaman hayati dengan berpendekatan STEM menggunakan model Project Based Learning pada materi Keanekaragaman hayati di SMA Negeri 2 Kota Jambi dengan mengadaptasi model ADDIE. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah lembar wawancara, angket terbuka dan tertutup, dan daily log. Produk hasil pengembangan berupa Modul Keanekaragaman hayati berpendekatan STEM. Modul divalidasi oleh tiga tim ahli dan dinyatakan layak kemudian penilaian guru mempunyai nilai kappa 0,74 dengan kategori baik. Hasil ujicoba satu-satu untuk proyek satu mempunyai persentase 82,08% dengan kategori “Sangat Layak” dan proyek dua mempunyai persentase 89,05% dengan kategori “Sangat Layak”. Hasil ujicoba kelompok kecil mempunyai nilai kappa untuk proyek satu 0,81 dengan kategori sangat baik dan untuk proyek dua mempunyai nilai kappa 0,42 dengan kategori sedang. Berdasarkan hasil observasi dua guru terhadap proyek satu dalam meningkatkan kreativitas peserta didik mempunyai nilai kappa 0.74 dengan kategori baik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa Modul berpendekatan STEM dengan kategorikan baik sehingga dapat meningkatkan kreativitas peserta didik, dan modul berpendekatan STEM layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran Biologi.

Abstract

One way to use the environment is to examine the local potential that exists in the student's environment. The selection of the development of teaching materials based on local potential is in accordance with biological characteristics, especially those that utilize living things and their parts. The purpose of this research is to develop teaching materials based on local potential in Maluku. The research method uses the R&D method with the ADDIE model. The data collection technique used is data regarding the need for learning resources in the form of local wisdom-based learning modules in Maluku collected through 2013 curriculum analysis. The instrument used is a questionnaire. Based on the analysis conducted on research and development data, it shows that teaching materials based on Maluku local wisdom are feasible to be used as a source of learning in schools. Local wisdom-based teaching materials developed can be used as teaching materials that can increase students' knowledge of the material being studied. The feasibility of the developed teaching materials can be measured using indicators of the validity of teaching materials, practicality of teaching materials, and effectiveness of teaching materials. The study results showed a significant change between the pre-test and post-test. It can be concluded that teaching materials based on Maluku local wisdom are very feasible to be used in learning. Abstrak. Salah satu pemanfataan lingkungan adalah dengan mengkaji potensi lokal yang ada di lingkungan peserta didik. Pemilihan pengembangan bahan ajar berbasis potensi lokal sangat sesuai dengan karakteristik biologi khususnya yang memanfaatkan mahluk hidup maupun bagiannya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan bahan ajar ekosisitem berbasis potensi lokal di Maluku. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode R&D dengan model ADDIE. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan adalah data mengenai kebutuhan sumber belajar dalam bentuk modul pembelajaran berbasis kearifan lokal di Maluku dikumpulkan melalui analisis kurikulum 2013. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket. Berdasarkan analisis yang dilakukan terhadap data hasil penelitian dan pengembangan menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar berbasis kearifan lokal Maluku layak untuk digunakan sebagai salah satu sumber belajar di sekolah. Bahan ajar berbasis kearifan lokal yang dikembangkan dapat digunakan sebagai bahan ajar yang dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan peserta didik terhadap materi yang dipelajari. Kelayakan dari bahan ajar yang dikembangkan dapat diukur dengan menggunakan indikator kevalidan bahan ajar, kepraktisan bahan ajar, dan keefektifan bahan ajar. Hasil belajar menunjukkan perubahan yang signifikan antara pre test dan post test. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa bahan ajar berbasis kearifan lokal Maluku sangat layak untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the science communication skills of high school students are assessed using the Expert-Novice Dialog (END) method with the help of Google Suite. This research was conducted at one of the Sukabumi City Senior High Schools in April the second week of 2021. This study uses a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. The sampling technique used in this research is purposive sampling technique. The subjects used in this study were students of class X SMA, totaling 60 students consisting of 20 Experts and 40 Novices. Data collection were carried out digitally with the help of Google Suite. The concept of the selected material is a change in environmental balance. The instruments used in this research are science communication skills rubric, observation rubric, novice concept test and student response questionnaires. The results showed that the science communication skills of students in one of the Sukabumi City Senior High Schools were assessed using the Expert-Novice Dialog (END) method assisted by Google Suite an average of 67% which was included in the "Enough" category. Mastery of the novice concept is categorized as "Good" with an average score of 80.25%. Through the response questionnaire, it is known that the END method generally helps students in practicing science communication skills and understanding concepts. abstrak. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah teknik purposive sampling. Subjek yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas X SMA yang berjumlah 60 peserta didik terdiri dari 20 Expert dan 40 Novice. Teknik pengambilan data dilakukan secara digital berbantuan google suite.Konsep materi yang dipilih adalah perubahan keseimbangan lingkungan. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah rubrik kemampuan komunikasi sains, rubrik observasi, test konsep novice dan angket respon peserta didik Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kemampuan komunikasi sains pesera didik di salahsatu SMA Negeri Kota Sukabumi yang dinilai dengan metode Expert-Novice Dialog (END) berbantuan google suite rata-rata sebesar 67% termasuk dalam kategori “cukup”. Penguasaan konsep novice dikategorikan “Baik” dengan nilai rata-rata 80,25%. Melalui angket respon diketahui bahwa Metode END pada umumnya membantu peserta didik dalam melatih kemampuan komunikasi sains dan memahami konsep.
