Abstract

The results of observations in the classroom during mathematics learning, grade VI students tend to be passive and students' mathematics learning activities are very lacking. For mathematics lessons, the average score obtained by grade VI students on the material of reading and writing integers which was the material before this research was conducted was 47.73 and the percentage of students who achieved the learning completion standard was 30.43%. This value is very far from the percentage of students who achieved the teaching and learning completion standard (SKBM) set at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Pasirmuncang, Sagaranten District, which is 70%. This classroom action research (PTK) was carried out using the game method in an effort to improve the activity and achievement of mathematics learning of grade VI students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Pasirmuncang, Sagaranten District. The research was carried out in two cycles, each consisting of two meetings through the following stages: planning, action, observation and reflection. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation sheets for each meeting by observers to see data on learning activities, while data on learning outcomes were obtained through daily test scores and students' mathematics learning achievements in cycle 1 and cycle 2. The results obtained from Classroom Action Research (CAR) through the game method model showed an increase in student activity results, especially in activities to prepare places, materials and tools by 51.65%, activities to express ideas by 62.76% and for activities to read game rules and books experienced by 71.07%. Based on data on students' mathematics learning achievements, the average class score in cycle I was 64.26, increasing to 71.51 in cycle II. The percentage of students who achieved the completion standard also increased in cycle I by 78.88% (Good Category), increasing to 90% (Excellent Category) in cycle II.

Abstract

The achievement of learning objectives must also be supported by the selection of learning methods and models. A teacher must choose the right model so that the teaching and learning process is more effective and efficient. However, in reality at MIN 14 Pidie Jaya, teachers are still less precise in choosing models, therefore the teaching and learning process becomes a saturated and less active atmosphere. The learning model applied in this learning is the Picture and Picture model. The Picture and Picture model is one of the steps that can be taken to improve and increase students' interest in learning. This learning model is one of the models that uses paired images and is sorted into a logical sequence. The problems in this study are (1) How are the teacher's activities in learning Fiqh by applying the Picture and Picture model (2) How are the students' activities in learning Fiqh by applying the Picture and Picture model and (3) How is the students' interest in learning Fiqh by applying the Picture and Picture model? This study includes Classroom Action Research which is carried out in three cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages, namely design, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects in this study were 19 students in class II of MIN 14 Pidie Jaya. The research data were obtained using teacher and student observation sheets and student test results, then this data was analyzed using a percentage formula. The research results obtained were (1) teacher activity in cycle I using the Picture and Picture model cycle I from 70.36% cycle II to 81.53% and in cycle III to 98.46%, (2) student activity in cycle I using the Picture and Picture model cycle I 72.30% cycle II to 76.92% and in cycle III to 96.92% and (3) student interest in learning Fiqh in cycle I using the Picture and Picture model 61.11% cycle II to 77.77% and in cycle III to 94.44%. This shows that the interest in learning Fiqh on the material of the provisions of obligatory prayer using the Picture and Picture model shows Very Good results. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the application of the Picture and Picture model can increase student interest in learning to be more active and teacher abilities can improve to be better.

Abstract

The fine motor skills of Group A children at RA Miftahul Huda Purwosari Pasuruan have not developed well. This study aims to improve children's fine motor skills through paper folding activities. This study is a Classroom Action Research. The subjects of the study were 18 children in Group A. The object of this study was fine motor skills. Data collection techniques were carried out using observation and documentation. The tool used was an observation instrument sheet. The data analysis technique was carried out descriptively quantitatively. The success indicator set was 75% of 18 children having fine motor skills. This study was conducted in two Cycles. The results showed that the fine motor skills of Group A children in Cycle I were 23.5%, and in Cycle II were 76.4%. The percentage obtained in Cycle II proved that this study had achieved the success indicator, namely that children's fine motor skills had increased by ≥75%. The research steps that can improve fine motor skills are carried out by paper folding activities, using paper media that is quite large in size, and equipped with pictures of learning steps. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that this activity can improve fine motor skills in Group A at RA Miftahul Huda Kertosari Purwosari Pasuruan.

Abstract

This study aimed to explore the effectiveness of using sharing methods and audio-visual media to improve students’ learning outcomes in Islamic Education at SD Negeri Mugoe Rayeuk. A quasi-experimental design with a control group was used, involving 60 5th grade students, divided into an experimental group (n=30) and a control group (n=30). The experimental group participated in lessons that integrated sharing methods and audio-visual media, while the control group received conventional teaching methods. Data were collected through pre-test and post-test assessments to measure students’ learning outcomes, in addition to classroom observations to measure students’ engagement and participation. The results showed a significant improvement in the learning outcomes of the experimental group, with higher post-test scores compared to the control group. The experimental group also showed increased engagement and active participation during the lessons, especially through collaborative activities and the use of multimedia tools such as videos and animations, which helped clarify complex concepts and make learning more interactive. The sharing method encouraged collaboration, critical thinking, and peer learning, while audio-visual media enhanced comprehension by providing visual and audio representations of the content. In contrast, the control group, which followed the traditional method, showed only modest improvements in learning outcomes. The findings indicate that sharing methods and audio-visual media significantly increased students’ engagement, understanding, and retention of Islamic Education concepts, offering a more effective approach to improving academic performance. This study highlights the importance of adopting innovative and interactive teaching methods in the classroom and suggests further exploration of their application in various educational settings.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education plays an important role in shaping the character and morals of students from an early age, especially in understanding the stories of the Prophets and Apostles as role models in life. However, learning the stories of the Prophets and Apostles in Elementary Schools is often less interesting, causing students to have difficulty understanding and remembering the material. This study aims to improve the understanding of grade III students of SDN 1403 Tiga Serangkai towards the stories of the Prophets and Apostles through story-based learning methods. This study uses Classroom Action Research (CAR) with the Kemmis & McTaggart model, which includes four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of the study were grade III students of SDN 1403 Tiga Serangkai. Data were collected through observation, interviews, evaluation tests, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out descriptively qualitatively and quantitatively to assess the increase in students' understanding before and after the application of the story method. The results showed that the story-based learning method significantly improved students' understanding. The average student test score increased from 67.5 in cycle I to 85.3 in cycle II. In addition, students were more enthusiastic, active, and easily remembered the stories and values contained in the material. Thus, the story method can be an effective alternative in improving students' understanding of the stories of the Prophets and Apostles.
