Abstract

This research is a Class Action Research (PTK) which aims to increase the learning interest of students in class V of MIN 12 Nagan Raya in science subjects, especially Chain of Meaning materials, through the application of group discussion strategies. The background of this research is based on the low interest of students in social studies lessons which is shown by a lack of activeness in learning, lack of participation in discussions, and low learning outcomes. The research was carried out in two cycles, each consisting of the stages of planning, implementation of actions, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were 25 students of class V. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, learning interest questionnaires, learning outcome tests, and documentation. Data analysis uses qualitative and quantitative approaches. The results of the study showed a significant increase in students' interest in learning. In the pre-cycle, only 30% of students had a high interest in learning, while after cycle II it increased to 80%. The average learning outcome score also increased from 65 (pre-cycle) to 81 (cycle II). In addition, students' activeness in group discussions also increased significantly. It can be concluded that the group discussion strategy is effective in increasing students' interest and learning outcomes on Food Chain materials. This strategy is also able to create an active, collaborative, and fun learning atmosphere.

Abstract

This research aims to improve student motivation and learning outcomes in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) subjects, especially the material of My Obligatory Prayer, through the application of the Discovery Learning learning model. The background of this research is the low learning outcomes of grade III students of SD Negeri Lhok Keutapang who have not met the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM). The research uses the Classroom Action Research (PTK) method which is carried out in two cycles, with stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of the study were all grade III students totaling 18 people. Data was collected using learning outcome tests, teacher and student activity observation sheets, and documentation. The results of the study showed a significant increase in both the motivation aspect and student learning outcomes. In the pre-cycle, only 6 students (33.3%) achieved KKM, with an average score of 62. After the implementation of Discovery Learning in cycle I, the average score increased to 72 with a completeness of 61.1%. In the second cycle, student learning outcomes increased again with an average score of 83 and completeness reached 88.9%. This improvement shows that the use of the Discovery Learning model is effective in motivating students to be active in the learning process as well as improving understanding of the concept of prayer material. These findings confirm the importance of using innovative learning models to improve the quality of religious education in primary schools.

Abstract

Syllables and words with correct pronunciation. This is shown by a low daily score, which does not meet the Minimum Competency (KKM). The Minimum Competency (KKM) required for the Indonesian (KD) curriculum Reading aloud syllables and words with correct pronunciation is 70, so students should get a score above 70. Yesterday, only 6 students, or 30%, achieved grades above the KKM; the rest undergo corrective actions to achieve higher grades. Based on the interviews, teachers took the initiative to use an unusual learning model in the classroom: problem-based learning. This class action research was conducted at MIN 50 Bireuen, in the first grade consisting of 20 students. The research population is all MIN 50 Bireuen students in the 2024/2025 academic year. Data collection techniques include test and non-test techniques. The results of the pre-cycle study showed that only 6 students (30%) achieved the graduation score (KKM = 70), while 14 students (70%) did not achieve the score. Therefore, the researcher seeks to improve the learning process in Cycle I by developing and developing a more comprehensive learning improvement plan. Based on the formative test scores after the improvement of Cycle I, learning outcomes have improved. This is shown by the increase in the scores of the formative test, from 6 students (30%) to 15 students (75%). The results of observations in Cycle II show that students actively participate in the learning process and carry out the teacher's duties effectively. The use of a problem-based learning model has been proven to be able to improve student learning outcomes as planned.

Abstract

This research aims to improve the writing skills of grade II students of SD Negeri Siem through the application of the Language Experience Approach (LEA) method. The background of this research is the low writing ability of students, as can be seen from the pre-cycle results that are still below the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM) set. This research uses the Classroom Action Research (PTK) approach which is carried out in two cycles, each through the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects amounted to 21 students, consisting of 11 males and 10 females. Research data was collected through writing learning outcome tests, observation of student activities, and documentation during the learning process. The results showed a significant improvement in writing skills after the application of the LEA method. In the pre-cycle, most students have not reached KKM. After the implementation of the first cycle, students' writing skills began to improve, although there were still some who did not meet the criteria. In cycle II, almost all students managed to achieve KKM with a clear improvement in terms of sentence structure, vocabulary choice, and courage to pour ideas in written form. Thus, the application of the LEA method has proven to be effective in improving the writing skills of grade II students of SD Negeri Siem.

Abstract

This study aims to describe teachers' strategies in dealing with children with speech delay disorder in the Al Muttaqin Playgroup, especially in the Umar group. Children who experience speech delay often show limited vocabulary, difficulty following simple commands, use body language more often than verbal language, and experience emotional barriers that lead to tantrum behavior. This research uses a Classroom Action Research (PTK) approach with a focus on improving learning strategies through four main stages, namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of the study were several children of Umar's group who experienced speech delays. The strategies used by teachers include teacher communication strategies, environmental therapy strategies, speech therapy strategies, and compassion strategies. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, field notes, documentation, and consultation with a team of school psychologists. The results of the study showed that there were positive developments in children, such as increased ability to pronounce new vocabulary, increased ability to express opinions, and reduced tantrum behavior due to improved communication skills. Thus, the implementation of consistent communication strategies, supported by a conducive environment and a compassionate approach, has proven to be effective in helping the language development of children with speech delays.
