Abstract

The purpose of this article is to educate students to have knowledge and awareness in separating waste based on its category and to be able to apply the habit of washing hands before activities From the results of observations, it appears that students experience a lack of understanding in separating waste according to its category and the lack of habit of washing hands before activities, this phenomenon has not been widely spread among students. The method of implementing this activity is by conducting 3R and PHBS socialization and demonstrating how to recycle waste into useful items. The solution to this problem is to carry out 3R and PHBS socialization to educate students about waste and clean and healthy living behavior, carry out waste sorting games with games, practice proper hand washing and carry out recycle used goods as an implementation of this socialization activity. The result of this activity is that students understand and are interested in carrying out waste selection actions and being creative with waste to become useful items

Abstract

Globalization has brought significant changes in agricultural dynamics, the contribution of agriculture to rural communities in facing current global challenges, such as climate change, food security and environmental sustainability. This research was using a qualitative descriptive approach by collecting data through field observations, in-depth interviews with farmers, and literature analysis. The research results show that agriculture in Jorong Dama Gadang plays a crucial role in providing food for local and global communities, maintaining ecosystems, and adapting to climate change. Jorong Dama Gadang farmers have adopted sustainable farming practices, such as the use of organic fertilizer, crop rotation, and soil conservation, which helps reduce negative impacts on the environment. However, they also face major challenges, including limited access to technology and markets, and the intensifying impacts of climate change. This article suggests the need for policies that support rural agriculture through increased access to technology, education, and infrastructure investment to ensure their continued contribution to global challenges

Abstract

The condition of the Sarasah Pontong road in Nagari Dalko, Sumatera Barat, significantly influences the potential of the tourism sector. The condition includes poor road conditions, high traffic, and limited parking, making the accessibility of the area difficult. To improve accessibility and the duration of the road, several strategies are proposed. First, improving road conditions by incorporating various factors to prevent deterioration and make the road more stable. Second, improving road safety by providing information about road conditions and promoting physical safety measures. This comprehensive study provides valuable insights for planning and implementation strategies in the Sarasah Pontong area

Abstract

Dama Gadang, an area rich in natural beauty and agricultural potential, has long been the center of attention in the fields of agriculture and plantations. This article investigates various aspects of livelihoods in agriculture and plantations in Dama Gadang. Through field surveys, interviews, and secondary data analysis, this article analyzes various factors that influence livelihoods in this area.

Abstract

The training program on Website Creation and Management for Sabana Kamek Village-Owned Enterprise (BUMDesma) under LKD Kamang Magek, Kabupaten Agam, aims to enhance human resource capacity in managing businesses through digital technology. This training is designed to provide a basic understanding of the importance of information technology in supporting transparency, efficiency, and the marketing of BUMDesma's products and services to a broader audience. During the program, participants were introduced to fundamental concepts of website management, technical steps in website creation, and strategies for utilizing websites to support branding and digital marketing. The training employed a combination of theoretical and practical approaches, enabling participants not only to grasp the concepts but also to independently implement the acquired skills. The outcomes of the training indicate that participants successfully created and managed simple websites to support BUMDesma operations. The positive impact of this program is expected to expand the marketing reach of BUMDesma’s products, enhance business competitiveness, and strengthen information transparency for the community and stakeholders. As a follow-up, continuous assistance and advanced training will be necessary to ensure the sustainability of information technology utilization in BUMDesma management.

Abstract

The training on Planning, Budgeting, Administration, and Financial Reporting of Nagari in Nagari Kamang Hilia, Agam Regency was attended by 25 participants and aimed to enhance the capacity of Nagari officials in managing village finances efficiently and accountably. This program included an in-depth understanding of the Village Financial System (Siskeudes), which consists of modules for planning, budgeting, implementation, administration, and reporting. Additionally, the training emphasized the principles of transparent, accountable, participatory, orderly, and disciplined financial management. With this training, it is expected that Nagari officials will be able to manage village funds more effectively, in line with applicable regulations, and increase transparency of information to the public. This activity also aims to ensure that all Nagari officials have a uniform understanding in carrying out their duties, ultimately improving the quality of village financial management in Nagari Kamang Hilia.

Abstract

The training on digitalization of SMEs in Nagari Guguak, Sijunjung Regency, aims to enhance the capacity of micro, small, and medium enterprises (SMEs) in leveraging digital technology to grow their businesses. This activity is part of an effort to support the digital-based economic transformation, which can improve the competitiveness of SMEs in the modern era. The training covers topics such as the use of digital platforms for marketing, digital payment systems, and efficient business management through information technology. Participants were also educated on the importance of having a digital presence to expand markets and improve operational efficiency. By involving local SMEs, this program is expected to provide new insights into the vast potential offered by the digital world and help businesses optimize online marketing. The training aims to enable participants to improve their business performance, expand their networks, and reach a wider customer base, contributing to the growth of both the local and national economy. Abstract

Empat kompetensi yang wajib dimiliki oleh guru yaitu kompetensi pedagogik, kompetensi kepribadian, kompetensi sosial dan kompetensi profesional, ternyata kompetensi kompetensi pedagogik dan profesional adalah dua kompetensi yang masih rendah. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan untuk membantu guru-guru memperkuat kompetensi akademik dan professional guru sehingga meningkatkan produktifitas akademik yang melibatkan 23 orang peserta yang berasal dari MGMP guru bidang MPLB. Model pemecahan masalah yang ditawarkan adalah dengan melakukan pelatihan pengembangan media pembelajaran video dengan menggunakan aplikasi Camtasia dan pelatihan menyusun proposal action research dengan menggunakan kolaborasi strategi pembelajaran ekspositri (SPE) dan strategi pembelajaran berbasis masalah (SPBM). Pelaksana kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan metode ceramah, tanya jawab, latihan terbimbing secara langsung dan secara daring. Abstract

The flagship program of Pariaman City is Smart Village. An effort to increase knowledge and awareness of the importance of managing correspondence and document management in marketing local products, the solution provided to the target audience, namely all administrators in the North Pariaman District, Pariaman City, is through life skills training for Optimizing Village Administration Services based on the Smart Village innovation Web. The method of this Community Service activity is in the form of training and assistance to village community servants, Bumdes/bunag, UMKM actors and togama in North Pariaman so that it is hoped that community servants will be able to manage e-documents and standard correspondence as a reference for villages in North Pariaman in improving the quality of public services to end users in a smart way. The final result of this activity is an increase in partner understanding in utilizing sideka technology in village administration services (e-administration), increasing community participation in promoting local products that meet e-Business standards. The sideka design which is equipped with a guide can be used as a model for developing an e-document and business information system in a smart way in Pariaman.

Abstract

Religious traditions are an integral part of community life, especially in areas that strongly uphold cultural values and customs. However, modernization and globalization have led to a decline in youth participation in religious activities. This study aims to examine the role of Universitas Negeri Padang (UNP) community service program (KKN) students in preserving religious traditions in Jorong Taratak Baru. The research employs a qualitative approach through field observations and participation in community activities. The findings reveal that KKN UNP students play a crucial role in enhancing community engagement in religious traditions through various activities such as teaching Quran recitation, communal work at places of worship, and organizing Isra’ Mi’raj celebrations. The active participation of students not only strengthens social bonds among residents but also serves as a medium for transmitting religious values to younger generations. Therefore, the KKN program has significant potential in sustaining religious traditions amidst ongoing social changes
